젊은날의 고뇌와 독서 서평 평가A+최고예요

『젊은 날의 고뇌와 독서』서평저자는 이 글에 대학생에서 부치는 글이라 부제를 달았다. 실제로 전체적인 내용도 20대에게 하는 말이다. 하지만 20살이라는 숫자로 19과 20을 너무 크게 경계선 짓는 것이 그리 바람직한 것은 아니라고 생각한다. 20대는 모든 것이 크게 변혁하는 때라고 했는데, 20살이 되면 갑자기 그 시점에 큰 변화가 생기는 것은 아니다. 정신적인 성숙, 사랑의 충동, 자아의 회의 등은 20살에 갑자기 나타나는 것이 아니고 자신도 모르는 새에 어느 순간부터 서서히 나타나는 것이다. 20대에 이러한 큰 변화를 겪는다는 것보다는 성인이 되어가면서 차츰이란 표현을 썼으면 더 공감이 갔을 것이다.저자는 일반인들이 쉽게 접근하기 힘든 문체를 사용한다. 제목부터 친근하게 다가가기 힘든 분위기에, 단어 선택에 있어서도 ‘로고스’ ‘파토스’에서부터 시작하여 이해하기 까다로운 문장들이 자주 나타난다. 고대 철학자 이름의 등장은 단락마다 거의 빼먹지 않고 등장하고, 그의 인용문들도 역시 어려운 문장이다. 또한 부수적 설명도 없어 지식이 풍부한 사람이 아닌 이상 글을 읽는데 여간 어려움을 겪는 것이 아니다. 저자가 어떤 의도를 가지고 위인들의 이름을 거론하지만 정작 그 의도는 설명하지 않고, 이름 나열에만 그치는 곳이 한두군데가 아니다. 글의 주제와 내용이 어려운 만큼 대학생들을 읽히기 위해서는 글의 문체가 좀 더 부드러워질 필요가 있다.사랑에 빠지면 지혜와 분별을 잊는다라는 일반화의 시도도 문제가 있다고 본다. 사랑의 정열로 인해 인생의 파멸을 겪는 사람들이 많다고 한 것은 사랑에 대한 너무나도 부정적인 시각이 아닐까. 오히려 사랑으로 인해 지혜, 분별을 깨달은 이가 더 많을 텐데 말이다. 20대가 사랑의 시대라고 주장하면서 사랑의 위험성을 강조하는 것은 독자들에게 혼란을 가져올 수도 있다. 사랑의 부정적인 측면을 강조하기보다는 지혜롭고, 현명하게 사랑하는 방법을 알려주는 편이 나았을 것이다.고뇌는 인생의 자아발견에 반드시 수반한다는 내용과 글 전체를 봤을 때 저자는 자아발견을 위한 필수요건으로 고뇌를 제시하고 있다. 하지만 꼭 그것이 고뇌여야만 하는 것은 아니다. 그는 고뇌만을 중요시 다루고 경험의 중요성을 간과하고 있다. 사람들은 자기 방식대로 자아형성을 위해 살아가고 있으며, 그것은 무엇인가를 시도해보고 도전하고 행동하는 것이 될 수도, 자기를 테스트해보는 것 일수도 있는 것이다. 철학적인 물음, 궁극적인 관심을 품는다고 자아형성이 되는 것만은 아니다. 사색만이 자아형성을 이룰 순 없는 것이다. 저자는 이성, 인생문제, 사명과 장래에 대한 고뇌를 요구한다. 고뇌는 인생에 있어서 매우 중요한 요소이다. 하지만 고뇌와 사색보다는 스스로의 경험에서 얻어지는 것이 자아형성에 훨씬 영향을 줄 것이다. 이성을 경험해보고, 인생을 경험해보고, 자신을 테스트 해보는 과정이 더 도움이 될 것이다. 때문에 20대의 자아형성을 위해서는 고뇌보다 경험의 중요성을 강조하는 것이 옳을 것이다.

Because Korea is located near form China, Korea has been affected by China in many aspects. Especially, I want to investigate 2 Buddhist statues in Three-Kingdom period when Buddhism is popular.서산마애삼존불상, a national treasure no. 48, is well-known as ‘Smile of Paekche’. The Buddhist statuses’ face in Paekche is soft and benign, also they show refined figure that is distinctive feature compared with dynamic and active form in Koguryo or stable form in Silla.First of all, its arrangement is distinctive. This arrangement is rare in China and India. Putting 반가사유상 in left and 보살입상 in right from statue is a distinguished feature of Paekche.Secondly, many statues were created on a cliff of stone such as 서산마애불 and 태안마애불. That trend represents naturalism of Paekche. That makes people in Paekche creates 마애불 on a cliff of stone..Third, I’ll research three statues in 서산마애삼존불 each other.Right side statue holding a stone is similar shape to Namjo dynasty’s statue in China. Seosan in where find 서산마애삼존불상 was an important point to go to China. That is why we can find Chinese artistic atmosphere from this statue.However, from statue in left side of 서산마애삼존불, despite greatly damaged both arms, we can see that elegant sculpturing skill of people in Paekche by that’s position and shape.The center statue in 서산마애삼존불상 has chubby cheeks, semicircle eyebrows, eyes like an apricot stone, a shallow and wide nose and smile lips that make merciful expression that is the most special characteristic of Paekche.In Paekche, many statues were created on a cliff of stone such as 서산마애불 and 태안마애불. That trend represents naturalism of Paekche. That makes people in Paekche creates 마애불 on a cliff of stone.I’m fascinated by 서산마애삼존불상’s attraction which is impressive and confident body, round outlines, vivacious expression, and refined form.The second Buddhist statue of this assignment is 금동미륵보살반가상, a national treasure no. 78. This statue is a representative statue in Three-Kingdom. It reveals development of Silla’s statue artistically and technically.It is similar to Je dynasty and Ju dynasty in China in aspect of a little huge head compared with small body and highlighting an upper body. In addition to this, we can see a particular depiction and naturally hung down cloths. It is affected by Su dynasty in China.However, this statue shows a feature only Peckcje has. It is the most successive created masterpiece in the all statues in Korea. According to a research in 1963, in inner part, Not only do there are no any faults or devised marks, but also its materials and techniques are greatly distinctive.Through its profound face and balanced position, we can find the beauty of Korea. Calm smile in statue’s boy like face is like moving and a right finger touching his cheek and a left finger dropped in a right ankle put on left knee have lively vividness. Besides, it is totally expressed like flapped by a breeze, so we can feel lively movement by this, too. Those are the reasons why this statue has eternity as an art object.I think that it is the greatest creation. Moreover, at that time, there are no rivals compete with this statue. Its frail, vivid and sensible expression and the merciful smile of silent meditation can be made by only people in Peckche, no one can make it.I’m really proud of distinctive Korea aesthetic Buddhism beauty in compared with other countries, although Buddhism is a foreign religion. Don’t Judge Person Just By Their GenderFixing car is men’s job? Secretary is women’s job? Imagine that boy trying to get a job for secretary or girl trying to get a job in mechanic. Most people might think it is abnormal and men are better at mechanic and women are better at secretary. However, no one can judge who is better just by gender. It may be possible to judge which gender, not which person, is main at some fields, if you look over statistics. For example, there are more men in science field then women. However, in actual life, not in statistology, it is impossible to define which person is better just by their gender.The writer of “Are Men Smarter than Women?” says we can’t define intelligence. Its definition is not only one and it can be various. It is not true that people who are good at science are the brightest people. If someone is good at science, others are good at the other part. We can’t judge who is brighter by gender. It depends on person, not gender. Moreover, IQ test can’t be the measurement of intelligence. The writer of “Sex Ed: The Science of Difference” says there are less women in science, engineering, and technology development than men because of discrimination, discouragement, and the other barriers. Same opportunity is necessary for women. Social atmosphere that is opened for everyone equally has to be built. This writer also indicates the child-rearing for the reason of why women are less in science part than men. The writer of “What’s going On with Our Boys?” says women are trying to get into college harder than men because now they want to support their family by themselves without their husband’s help. Meanwhile, men believe education is not necessary in our society.The most important reason why men have an academic advantage over women, according to the writer of “Are Men Smarter Than Women?” is because of the different of upbringing for men and women. The writer of second reading says it’s because of the gender disparities. Men and women have different talents, temperaments, and interests. However, since every men and women don’t have same talents, temperaments, and interests, we should not see them as same people who have same talents, temperaments, and interests. Therefore, we have to open every opportunity for both men and women without prejudice. According to the writer of third reading, the academic advantage for one gender over the other is resulted of family’s support. Parents help their daughters with college tuition than their sons, she said, but I doubt if it is true in the US. At least, it is not true in Korea. Parents give their daughter and son college tuition equally. As well as this, in Waynesburg, one male student said his sister couldn’t go to college because their parents spent a lot of money for his college tuition and didn’t have money for his sister. No matter if parents help their son or daughter, the opportunity for education has to be opened for everyone. We have to give same encouragement and opportunity to both boys and girls.The writer of “My Brain Has a Sex?” suggests a solution to ending gender discrimination in academics: separated classrooms. My university in Korea is women’s university, but my entire school before university was coed school. I think separated classrooms are not necessary for any school. Eventually, we will have to work and be with the opposite sex in society. If we spend our school years just with same gender people, we would not understand them and miss the chance to know about the opposite gender people. My solution to end gender discrimination in academics is giving same opportunity to both men and women. Female mechanic or male secretary shouldn’t be considered as abnormal.We can’t compare people and can’t judge who is smarter. We can’t define who is better at some fields only by gender. Everyone has different preferences, talents, and abilities regardless their gender. Therefore, we have to consider each person’s unique aspects and what they can do well individually. We should not make a guess which is like “she must be good or she must be bad” just because she is a girl. We can’t sort out them by gender characteristics. Every chance considering each person’s specialty has to be opened for each gender equally.
