정보기술의 활용에 따른 조직문화가 기업의 성과에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Organizational Culture with Information Technology Application on Operational Performance)

초록

본 연구에서는 중국기업 종사자를 대상으로 정보기술의 활용을 통한 조직문화가 기업의 경쟁력, 지속적 경쟁우위 그리고 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 분석방법으로는 구조방정식모형을 이용하여 전체 가설을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 정보기술 활용은 조직문화에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 조직문화는 기업경쟁력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 조직문화는 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설은 기각되었다. 조직문화는 지속적 경쟁우위에 긍정적인 영향을, 지속적 경쟁우위는 기업경쟁력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 기업 경쟁력이 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 본 연구는 중국기업의 정보기술의 활용과 조직문화간의 관계를 다루었으며, 조직문화가 경영성과간의 관계에서 기업경쟁력과 지속적 경쟁우위의 역할을 파악하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 하겠다. IT산업의 발전이 이뤄낸 커뮤니케이션 혁명은 조직의 문화의 변화를 촉진시키는 중요한 요인이므로 정보기술을 적극적으로 도입하고 활용하여 조직이 원하는 문화로 발전시킬 수 있어야 한다. 또한 단기적인 기업경쟁력 확보보다는 지속적인 경쟁우위 확보를 위해 조직문화를 개선하고 관리할 필요가 있겠다.

영어초록

This study was conducted in order to verify the effects of the organizational culture with Information Technology application on corporate competitiveness, sustainable competitive advantage and operational performance targeting Chinese company personnel. In addition, structural equation model analysis was used to verify the whole hypotheses. Analysis showed that Information Technology application had a positive impact on the organizational culture, and this culture was found to have a positive effect on corporate competitiveness. However, the hypothesis that the organizational culture would have a positive effect on operational performance was rejected. It was showed that the organizational culture had a positive effect on the sustainable competitive advantage, and this sustainable competitiveness advantage was found to have a positive impact on corporate competitiveness. However, the corporate competitiveness did not have a positive influence on the operational performance. This study dealt with the relationship between Information Technology application and the organizational culture of Chinese companies, and has significance on finding the roles of the organizational culture regarding the corporate competitiveness and the sustainable competitive advantage with the relations with operational performance. As the communications revolution accomplished by the development of the IT industry is a crucial factor to promote the changes in the culture of the organization, it should be developed as the culture that the organization desires by actively introducing and utilizing the Information Technology. Furthermore, it is necessary to improve and manage the organizational culture in order to secure the sustainable competitive advantage rather than the short-term corporate competitiveness.
