대학생의 진로역량 교육 요구도 분석 (The Analysis of Education Needs on Career Competency Education for University Students)

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 진로역량 교육에 대한 요구를 분석하여 대학의 진로교과목 및 진로·취업 교육과정의 개발·운영을 위한 기초자료를 확보하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 도구는 ‘진로의식’과 ‘진로태도 및 행동’의 2가지 영역으로 제작되었고, 연구대상은 A대학교 재학생 301명이다. 대학생의 진로역량 교육 요구를 분석하기 위해서 기술통계분석, t-test, 일원변량분석, IPA분석, F검증이 실시되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들은 ‘진로개발 및 진로적응에 필요한 요소’에 대한 중요도에 비해 준비도를 낮은 수준으로 인식했다. 중요도의 측면에서 높게 응답한 요소는 ‘다양한 경험을 통해 자기계발 하는 능력’, ‘타인과의 긍정적 상호작용 및 네트워킹’, ‘변화하는 직업세계에 적응하는 능력’, ‘전공 기반 학습동기 및 수행능력’이다. 준비도의 측면에서 높게 응답한 요소는 ‘타인과의 긍정적 상호작용 및 네트워킹’, ‘직업적 자기이해 및 긍정적 자아개념’, ‘진로문제 해결을 위한 진로의사결정 과정에 대한 이해’이다. 반면 ‘융합진로 구성을 위한 창의적 사고’, ‘자신의 진로에 대한 프레젠테이션’에 대해서는 중요도와 준비도의 측면에서 모두 낮은 수준으로 응답했다. 둘째, ‘진로개발 및 진로적응에 필요한 요소’에 대한 IPA분석 결과, ‘다양한 경험을 통해 자기계발 하는 능력’, ‘직업을 얻고, 유지하고, 진로를 전환하는 능력’, ‘전공 관련 진로 및 직무정보의 평가와 해석’, ‘변화하는 직업세계에 적응하는 능력’, ‘사회변화가 직업세계에 미치는 영향 이해’가 ‘중점개선 요소’로 분석되었다. 셋째, ‘진로교과목 강의 운영방식’에 대한 필요도를 분석한 결과, 대학생들은 ‘전공별 직무 중심 진로교과목’, ‘학년별 맞춤형 진로교과목’, ‘구체적 사례 중심 진로교과목’에 높은 수준으로 응답했다. 넷째, ‘진로태도 및 행동’ 영역에서 진로역량의 하위역량 및 하위요인에서 계열에 따른 유의미한 통계적 차이가 나타났으며, 대부분 교육계열이 가장 높고 예체능계열이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 학년에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 다섯째, 진로역량의 하위역량 및 하위요인 간 차이를 비교했을 때 유의미한 통계적 차이가 나타났다. 하위역량에서는 성찰역량이 가장 높은 반면 커뮤니케이션역량이 가장 낮게 나타났고, 하위요인에서도 진로성찰이 가장 높은 반면 네트워킹과 진로관리가 낮게 나타났다. 본 연구는 지금의 대학생들이 직면한 진로문제의 본질은 불확실성에 기인함을 좀 더 이해할 수 있었고, 대학생 진로역량 교육의 핵심은 그에 대한 대응 및 적응능력인 진로적응성을 갖추는 것임을 다시금 확인했다. 진로역량 교육에 대한 다각도의 요구분석과 함께 최신 진로이론의 적용도 시도되어 교육의 목적, 내용 및 방법의 진보가 더욱 이루어지기를 기대한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of unversity students for career competency education and to secure basic data for the development and operation of career course and career employment curriculum of universities. The research tools were made in two areas: 'career consciousness' and 'career attitude and behavior'. The subjects of this study were 301 students from A university. Descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, IPA analysis, and F-test were conducted to analyze the career competency education needs of university students. The results of the study are as follows. First, university students perceived the level of readiness as low compared to the importance of ‘elements necessary for career development and career adaptation’. The factors that answered highly in terms of importance are 'the ability to develop self through various experiences', 'positive interaction and networking with others', 'the ability to adapt to the changing occupational world', and 'major-based learning motivation and performance ability'. The factors that answered highly in terms of readiness are 'positive interaction and networking with others', 'vocational self-understanding and positive self-concept', and 'understanding of career decision-making process for career problem solving'. On the other hand, the respondents answered that they had low importance and readiness in terms of 'creative thinking for construction of convergence career' and 'presentation about their career'. Second, as a result of IPA analysis on 'elements necessary for career development and career adaptation', 'ability to develop self through various experiences', 'ability to acquire, maintain, and change career', 'evaluation and interpretation of career and job information related to major', 'ability to adapt to changing career world', and 'understanding the effect of social change on the career world' were analyzed as 'concentration improvement elements'. Third, as a result of analyzing the necessity of 'how to operate career course', university students responded to 'job-centered career course by major', 'customized career course by grade', and 'concrete case-centered career course' at a high level. Fourth, when comparing the difference of sub-competency and sub-factors of career competency in the area of 'career attitude and behavior', most of the education departments were the highest and the arts and physical education departments were the lowest. Fifth, there was a significant statistical difference when comparing the sub-competency and sub-factors of career competency. In sub-competency, reflection competency was the highest, communication competence was the lowest, and career reflection was the highest in sub-factors, while networking and career management were low. This study could understand more about the nature of career problems faced by university students due to uncertainty, and confirmed that the core of career competency education for university students is to have career adaptability, which is the ability to respond and adapt to them. It is expected that the purpose, contents and methods of education will be further advanced by analyzing various needs for career competency education and applying the latest career theory.
