노인의 지역사회환경 만족도 유형과 삶의 만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Types of Satisfaction with the Community Environment and Life Satisfaction of the Elderly)

초록

본 연구는 노인의 지역사회환경 만족도 유형과 삶의 만족 간의 관계를 검증하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 노인실태조사(2020) 패널데이터를 활용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 노인의 지역사회환경 만족도 유형에 대한 잠재프로파일 분석결과 낮은 지역사회환경 만족도 집단, 중간 지역사회환경 만족도집단, 높은 지역사회환경 만족도 집단이 최종 선택되었다. 둘째, 낮은 지역사회환경 만족도 집단를기준집단으로 설정하여 중간 지역사회환경 만족도 집단과 비교하였을 때 연령대, 결혼상태, 최종학력, 건강상태, 기초생활수급 여부가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 높은 지역사회환경 만족도 집단과 비교하였을 때 결혼상태, 최종학력, 건강상태, 기초생활수급 여부, 친구와 이웃 및 지인연락빈도,건강유지시 지속거주희망, 사회적 존중정도, 우울이 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 셋째, 노인의 혼인상태, 최종학력, 건강상태, 지인과 친구 및 이웃과의 연락빈도, 건강유지시 지속거주희망, 사회적존중정도는 삶의 만족에 정(+)적인 영향력을 미쳤으나, 성별, 기초생활수급 여부, 우울은 삶의 만족에 부(-)적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 노인의 지역사회환경 만족 집단 유형 중 낮은 지역사회환경 만족 집단을 기준집단과 비교해 중간 지역사회환경 만족 집단과 높은 지역사회환경 만족 집단에 속할수록 삶의 만족이 더 높다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 노인의 지역사회환경 만족도 유형을 세 가지로 유형화하고 각 유형별 예측요인의 영향력을 검증하였고, 이를 토대로 노인의 지역사회환경 만족도 개선과 삶의 만족 향상을 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안을 제시하였다는 의의가 있다.

영어초록

This study aims to verify the relationship between the types of satisfaction with thecommunity environment of the elderly and their life satisfaction. To this end, the panel dataof the Survey on the Status of the Elderly (2020) were used. As a result of the analysis, first,as a result of the latent profile analysis of the types of satisfaction with the communityenvironment of the elderly, the low community environment satisfaction group, the mediumcommunity environment satisfaction group, and the high community environment satisfactiongroup were finally selected. Second, when the low community environment satisfaction groupwas set as the reference group and compared with the medium community environmentsatisfaction group, age group, marital status, highest level of education, health status, andbasic livelihood receipt were statistically significant. Compared with the high communityenvironment satisfaction group, marital status, highest level of education, health status, basiclivelihood receipt, frequency of contact with friends, neighbors, and acquaintances, desire tocontinue living while maintaining health, level of social respect, and depression werestatistically significant. Third, the marital status, highest level of education, health status,frequency of contact with acquaintances, friends, and neighbors, desire to continue livingwhile maintaining health, and level of social respect of the elderly had a positive (+) effecton life satisfaction, but gender, receipt of basic livelihood security, and depression had anegative (-) effect on life satisfaction. Fourth, it was confirmed that the low communityenvironment satisfaction group among the types of community environment satisfaction groupsof the elderly compared to the reference group and the middle and high communityenvironment satisfaction groups had higher life satisfaction. This study is significant in that itcategorized the elderly's satisfaction with their community environment into three types andverified the influence of predictive factors for each type, and based on this, suggestedpractical and policy measures to improve the elderly's satisfaction with their communityenvironment and enhance their life satisfaction.
