The 3 Important Issues for Second Language Acquisition

I was a such person who could not speak English at all even though I had studied since I was 13. Unfortunately(Now I obviously can say ‘Fortunately’), my high school teacher pushed me to go to the university even majoring ‘American Studies’. However, after I entered my university, I found that I was able to speak better than others even the senior. People asked this unusual freshman if I had used to go abroad but absolutely not. I was just a little 19 year-old girl. As I got interested in several studies such as linguistics and psychology at my university, it had been always the issue for me how I could speak English at the very first time. For this assignment, I can not help mentioning the couple who are my aunt and uncle, Hee and Chris. From November 2000 to March 2001, it was just after my SAT, so I had long vacation waiting for the new life as university student. I spent most of my time at Hee and Chris home because my mom wanted me to learn English with Hee and Chris. Of course, I was frustrated since I could not communicate with Chris. I was not comfortable to stay with him although he was my uncle.

First, living with someone before marriage reduces your chance of getting married to someone else later. A recent survey asked Korean, "What do you think about your finance/fiancee who had lived with his/her X-friend before marriage." About 70% of people answered that they would never marry such a person. For this reason, you may find someone you love. Second, it is possible that living together before marriage will cause problems for individuals and society. They have less responsibility because they aren`t married. So, even if the woman gets pregnant, they can break up. Can you imagine that what will be happen to the embryo? This is also a social problem because society must support them. Many single mothers can`t get a job and support their child. They`re in trouble with their children.

Nobody can deny that sending an email by computer is convenient. It can be sent in a minute. It’s also on free. And it helps to link the world closer together. However, the most convenient thing is not always the best thing. Especially today, the number of people who are using the email address is growing rapidly. The more people have their own email addresses, the more side effects of the email appear. Let me classify them three problems. First, we can find a lot of spam emails everyday in the mail box. Those things may be pornographies, bills and any kinds of ad. Whenever I get spam emails, I should delete all of them because they occupy my limited kilobytes. It makes me annoyed and wastes time. What about pornography? If a young child gets this kind of email, what will happen to them? I don’t want to imagine this at all. Morever, a certain important email can be deleted with spam emails. Even though , there are some advices to reject the spam email, we are still getting a lot of spam emails.

To Choose Your Ideal JobJessieWhat kind of job do you have now? Are you satisfied with your job? As you know well, choosing a proper job is very important for you. If your job doesn’t match with your personality, you will loose your motivation. It means that you are not interested in your job anymore. Then you may be bored from your repeated daily life. However, a job which matches well with your personality can lead you into an enjoyful and active life and determine the quality of your life. To choose your ideal job, you should know not only what your personality is but also what kind of job there are. So, I put two kinds of job to help you with realizing that which is perfect for yourself.One is an outdoor work which means an active and energetic job. People who engage in this kind of job usually go out to work and don’t stay in front of the desk too much time. For example, there are farmers, researchers, gardeners, movie producers and race car drivers. They can meet many kinds of person and experience something new through their whole life. It’s a challenging life. Also, they don’t need to do exercise in a particular time because they already do their exercise during work. However, they can feel tired easily and sometimes can be hurt outdoors. Though, if you are the person who really enjoys the cheerful life and have the outgoing personality, you may want to choose this kind of job.The other is a sedentary work, which doesn’t require much movement. The workers spend most of their time in front of the desk or stay at one place. For example, they are counselors, writers, cashiers, telephone operators, data processors and ticket sellers. They can work in a safe surroundings and they don’t need to worry about the weather during their work, but they should do exercise regularly and can get bored easily by staying at a same place for a long time. Therefore, if you are a careful person and like to stay inside, you’d better to choose this kind of job.So far, I classified jobs into two categories and added some details for you. In my case, I should choose the outdoor work. Because I’m an extroverted and inquisitive person, the outdoor work is much better than the indoor work for me. I don’t want to stay inside with a computer and a cup of coffee all day. I always want fresh air. By the way, the most important thing is that you should think about what you want and what your character is, and then choose your ideal job.

How to prevent AIDSJESSIEAccording to the statistics, there are over 4 million of people who have AIDS ,Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome , over the world today. Because AIDS is themost serious disease which can spread rapidly and make a lot of other victims inshort time, it isn’t a problem for only one person anymore. As a result of that, we arereally familiar with this word, AIDS, but we don’t know exactly how we are infectedwith AIDS and what the reason is. So, from Now on, I will explain the causes of AIDSand suggest the ways to prevent it.The biggest reason of AIDS is the unappropriate sexual relationship. It meansuncareful sex can cause AIDS like having a sex with a prostitute or same sex person andhaving several sex partners. The best place where the AIDS’ virus likes is blood andsperm. In fact, the connection with a same sex person is the major reason. Most of thefirst victims were homosexual men. Consequently, you should not have a sexualrelationship with stranger and should use a condom when you have a relationship.The second reason is transfusion which means giving your blood to someone whoneeds it. If someone receives blood which is infected with AIDS, he/she also will beinfected with it. There also could be chance of infection in this case that themedical equipment is infected with AIDS, especially the needle of shot. That is thereason the medical centers have to be careful for caring the equipment. And also, Irecommend that you should not donate your blood directly to the someone who needs it.You can draw your blood in advance and donate it to a medical center, then they can useit later whenever they want.For the last main cause, when a woman who is already infected with AIDS bears ababy, the baby is likely to be infected with it just after coming out from mother, not in themother’s womb. The percentage to be infected is about 30%, so if the doctor takes acertain steps to prevent it, the baby can be saved from AIDS.As you read, preventing AIDS before being infected is more important thantreating after being infected. In addition to these precaution that I mentioned before, thereare couple of more ways. ; You should not use one needle or shaving machine with otherpeople and check if the equipment is disinfected when you pierce your ears or tattoo.AIDS is known as an incurable disease until today. Even scientists haven’t been able tofind a perfect solution to treat it. If we are more careful about this, we can prevent iteffectively.
