Anna Sui tries to appeal to the women of all ages who maintain innocence and reminiscence of youth.Inspired by Chinese furniture, Anna Sui’s signature cosmetics case, which is black on the outside and purple on the inside, appeals to every woman’s desire to possess her own princess jewelry box. Such distinctive use of colors, along with high-end design, is one of the key success factors for the brand. The design of Anna Sui’s cosmetics case shows the ideas of avant-garde style, antique, and splendid decoration.Anna Sui has established its brand as ‘luxury with reasonable prices’ so that its products can appeal to the general public. Anna Sui, the designer, said that she wants to give the same feeling of buying a beautiful dress when the customer buys a lipstick. That represents the level of attention paid to even the small details.Anna Sui’s design philosophy is well reflected even in the interior designs of the stores. The unique use of purple and black in the interior designs allows shoppers to easily recognize the brand even if the store is not standalone. Traditionally, purple was known in the advertising industry as a color difficult to stir consumers’ desire. However, Anna Sui broke the stereotype and raised its brand to the level of luxury with its unique and colorful designs.Unfortunately, its strong feminine and romantic brand image has kept it from launching men’s line or sports line products. I believe that widening its customer base will be the next challenge for the Anna Sui brand.
웰컴 투 동막골 – 박광현 감독-이 영화를 본 나의 감상을 간결하게 추려보자면, 최.고.다. 늘 ‘진짜다’싶은 영화를 보고나면 하는 소리이긴 하지만, 이 영화는 달라도 뭔가 다르다. 다른 의미에서 최고다. 어떻게 짧은 2시간 남짓 동안 그 많은 메시지를 담을 수 있을까? 그것도 강렬하게…… 봐야지 봐야지 하고 미루어 왔다가 이제야 과제를 핑계 삼아 보게 되었는데, 과제 ‘핑계 삼아’가 아닌, 과제 ‘덕분’이라고 연결어를 바꾸게 되었다. 너무너무 가슴이 아프고 시렸다. 슬프고 감동이었다. 두 눈 뜨고 바라볼 수 없는 광경들도 많았다. 미국의 지나치게 넓은(?) 아량(?)으로 우리는 갈라질 수 밖에 없었다. 제 3국이 찔러본 포크에 우리는 수 많은 피를 보았다. 미국의 이간질로 우리는 한 땅에서 500여 년의 역사를 함께 했음에도 불구하고, 서로를 의심할 수 밖에 없었고, 서로에게 총 부리를 겨눌 수 밖에 없었다. 한 뜻으로 광복을 외쳤었고, 같은 언어를 쓰며, 같은 생김새에 이념을 가지고 있었다. 그러던 우리 사이에 그 잘난 미국이란 나라는 그보다 더 잘난 노벨이라는 이름하의 대량살상 무기들을 펼쳐놓았다. 그리곤 ‘잡아라’ ‘방아쇠를 당겨라’ ‘핀을 뽑아라’ ‘너의 핏줄에서 그 총을 겨눠라’ 라고 속삭이고 있었다. 오랜 기간 식민지 나라여서 그러했나? 우리는 너무 쉽게도 그들을 믿었고, 그들은 마치 우리에게 영원한 행복을 보상해 줄 듯 보였으리라.영화 속에는 빨갱이라고 불리는 인민군, 그리고 국군, 또 그 잘난 연합군이 등장한다. 그들은 각기 다른 제복을 입었거나, 연합군은 우리와 생김새가 다르다. 그렇게 나는 영화를 보며 그들을 구분할 수 있었다. 그들 주위에는 차가운 공기가 흘렀다. 그들이 내뱉는 험한 말 속에는 긴장감이 흘렀다. 절대 함께 있을 수는 없이 보이던 그들… 그들도 역시 인간이었다. 생존경쟁 앞에서 한없이 나약해 질 수밖에 없는 창조물 인간. 그렇게 팽팽한 신경전에도, 식량 앞에서는 장사 없었다. 허기 앞에서 나약하고, 살고자 하는 의지 앞에서 나약한 걸 보면 분명 같은 존잰데, 그 권력과 이데올로기가 무엇이간데, 인간을 저리도 전쟁을 좋아하는 존재로 만들어 버리는 걸까?이 영화 장면 중에서 가장 감명받은 부분이 있다. 한 장면 한 장면이 놓칠 수 없을 만큼 감동이었지만, 특히나 후반부에서, 각각 자신의 제복을 입은 채, ‘하나’가 되어 동막골 부락 사람들을 지키기 위해 나아가는 모습은 머리 속에서 지워지지가 않는다. 이제까지는 상상도 할 수 없었던 장면이 아닌가? 인민군과 국군, 연합군이 각기 다른 제복을 입고 하나가 되어, 또 다른 새로운 연합군으로 진정한 선을 향해 싸우고 있지 않는가… 그들이야 말로 진정한 연합군, 삶을 아는 사람들 이었고, 진정한 선, 목숨을 알고 느끼고 있는 사람이었다. 이렇듯 모든 사람들 마음 속에는 선이란 게 있을지언데, 무엇이 인간을 그토록 악하게 만드는 것일까?얼마전 다른 수업시간에 본 광주 민중 항쟁 다큐멘터리가 떠올랐다. 인간의 사회에서 전쟁은 정말 끊을 수 없는 필요악일까? 웰컴투 동막골에도, 80년에도, 그리고 지금도…… 사회가 더 나아지기는커녕, 더 무서운 무기들로 인간 속에 깊이 잠들어 있는 악성을 유혹하고 있다. 나는 어떤 사람이 되어서 이런 사회를 헤쳐나가야 하며, 이 사회를 도와야 하나?

A survey of American Women says that 57 percent of people who get stress feel extremely distressed most of the time. Stress affects people in a bad way. A study in Swedenesearchers found that the men who were under stress were likely to die earlier than those who weren’t. Many people are firmly interested into reducing stress or getting as less stress as they can. So we should know how to make it less. There are several methods to get rid of stress; change your life, handle job stress, get time to relax.First, you have to try to change your life from trifles. Attitudes and ways of thinking about situations are major factors. For altering attitudes, you need positive thinking. A good example of how stressful situation can be changed by perception was observed by Colorado cardiovascular researcher Dr. Robert Eliot while he was traveling in the Middle East. In downtown Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Eliot saw two Arabs, both driving Mercedes, crash into each other. The two men, uninjured, got out of their cars and began hugging and laughing instead of yelling. And the two men were thanking Allah for the chance to meet this way. Like this to make positive thinking you can do what you really want. A person’s possibility depends on his/her how great s/he thinks s/he is. As you see in a TV commercial “impossible is nothing” when you think it’s possible. People need to be aware that insatiable frustration causes unstoppable dilemma, which causes what we call stress.Also we get much stress because of our job. There are keys for handling job stress. You have to do your best in your job. Concentrate the meetings you have to attend. Keith J. Karren says, “Could you accomplish the same thing by memo or a few phone calls?” (Mind/body health 2005:79). It means when you do find yourself scheduled for meetings, find exact object, and then focus on the task. And setting your priorities every morning can be helpful to do your best. When you wake up in the morning and say “I have lots of things to do today”, it doesn’t mean that you have to accomplish all of them. We all know there’s always more works to do and have no time. And that is why you must go with pr items which bothers you so much makes more important items slip away from your thought. You don’t deal with every items show up to you, which is not that serious most of the time. Make sure you set up priorities. And Once you realize which one is most important, be highly motivated with your job and get done with it. Remember, “It’s really ok not to do it all” (Mind/body health 2005:79).You also need to get time to relax. You can spare time to exercise and perform therapies such as yoga, which “teaches us ways of establishing harmony among the various sides of life” (Principles and Practice of Stress Management 2nd edition 1993: 96). Conducting many kinds of therapy also lets you control your blood pressure as known as one of the major factors of stress and even heart disease. And you also want to use your break time. Try to spend Friday doing something besides official, housekeeping tasks, for example. And you can leave something you want to do for Monday morning. Using Friday is all up on next week as well. And lack of frequent break leads you to be stuck on a middle of the way to your goal. Be smart to schedule your break times.Since the very beginning you have learned how bad people get stress today and what you’re recommended to do to prevent it. As the world has become more complicated, people are losing theiridentities. These circumstances lead a world globalization, and now we are living in aninternational society. However, living in this society requires us to love ourselves.Many advantages from loving ourselves are explained in following paragraphs.First of all, a “self-love” makes you beautiful and glorious. Indeed, it isabsolutely true. The logic beyond this argument is this: If you love yourself, you will tryto improve yourself and become more attractive to others. Therefore, a self-lovemakes you in better shape.Second, a “self-love” helps you to endure the difficulties. The meaning of aself-love is regarding oneself as a more valuable being. Thus, those who lovethemselves do not give up when they face difficult situations. It makes them easier toovercome the problems.Third, a “self-love” increases your happiness.
