매출규모에 따른 판매관리비와 기업가치와의 관계 (Selling and Administrative Expenses according to Company Characteristics Impact on the Enterprise Value)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 기업에 특성에 따른 판매관리비가 기업가치와 어떠한 관련성이 있는지를 실증분석하는 것이다. 본 연구의 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 판매관리비의 비중이 높은 기업이 낮은 기업에 비해 기업 가치와 정(＋)의 관련성이더 강한 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 판매관리비용과 기업가치의 관계가 기업의 특성 중 기업 규모와는 크게 영향을 받지않는다. 대기업 과 중소기업의 비용변수와 기업 가치와의 관계는 각각의 비용이 유의적인방향이 각각 다르게 나타남을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 기업의 규모가 대기업 또는 중소기업이라 해서 판매관리비용과 기업가치가 반드시 유의적인 것은 아니다.
셋째, 비용과 기업가치의 유의적인관계는 기업의 특성인 성장성 따라 부분적으로 유의적인 차이가 있다. 저성장 기업이 고성장 기업보다 판매관리비용과 기업가치의 관련성이 더높게 나타남을 확인하였다. 따라서 고성장 기업이라 해서 기업 가치와 판매비와 관리비간관계의 유의성이 반드시 높은 것만은 아님을 알 수 있었다.
넷째, 실제 영업활동을 통한 이익조정 변수는 판매비와 관리비를 증가 또는 감소시키기 위한 이익조정의 유인이 있으며 이러한 부분으로 기업 가치를 약화시킨다. 실증분석에서 확인하였듯이 각각의 비용변수와 실제 이익조정 변수인 비정상 영업현금흐름(ACFO), 비정상제조원가(APC), 비정상재량적비용(ADE)모두 기업가치 MV와 유의한 관계를 보고 하였다. 이는 각각의 비용의 특성을 고려해 볼 때 양(＋) 또는 음(－)의 유의성은 각각의 비용들을 통해 실제 영업활동을 통한 이익조정의 유인으로 작용할 수 있음을 말해준다.
본 연구의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 판매관리비는 기업가치에 양(＋)의 유의한 영향을 미치는것으로 실증분석결과 확인되었으며, 경영자는 이러한 비용에 대해 기업가치를 높이기 위해서 비용을 증가 또는 감소시키려하는 이익조정의 유인이 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to SG & A expenses of the company in accordance with the characteristics of empirical values and whether the company has any relevance.
Results of the study are as follows.
First, the proportion of businesses selling and administrative expenses are higher than the low enterprise value and relevance of enterprise positive (＋) it showed stronger.
Second, sales management costs and the relationship between firm size and firm value of the company’s property is not affected significantly. Relationships with corporate values and variable costs of large and small businesses could see a significant direction appears differently each cost. Thus, sales of large－scale enterprises or small businesses manage costs and referred to company value is not necessarily significant.
Third, Significant relationship between cost and business value are significant differences as part of the company in accordance with the characteristic growth. The relevance of lowgrowth enterprises sales management costs and corporate values than high－growth companies was found to appear higher.
Fourth, earnings from operating activities is variable across the real incentive of earnings to increase or decrease the selling and administrative expenses and weakens the value of the company in this area. As confirmed in the empirical analysis of each variable costs variable with the actual earnings Abnormal operating cash flow (ACFO), abnormal production costs (APC), abnormal discretionary expenses (ADE) both reported a significant relationship with the enterprise value MV.
Taken together the results of this study SG & A expenses was confirmed that by empirical analysis on the significant impact of positive corporate value, executives who want to increase or reduce costs in order to increase the value of the company for these expenses that can be a lure of earnings was confirmed by the empirical results of this paper.
