청소년 비행에 대한 공간분석 (The Spatial Analysis of Juvenile Delinquency)

초록

본 연구는 서울시 11구의 지리정보시스템(Geographical Information System, GIS)을 이용하여 사회인구통계 변인에 따른 청소년의 사이버, 폭력, 지위비행에 대한 공간적 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 청소년 비행 자료는 한국청소년정책연구원(National Youth Policy Institute)의 패널 종단 자료인 KCYPS(Korean Children and Youth Panel Study)의 2차(2011), 3차(2012) 자료가 사용되었으며, 사회인구통계 변인은 2014년 행정자치부가 제작한 자료가 사용되었다. X-Ray Map을 사용하여 청소년 비행 분포를 지도로 시각화하였으며, 오픈소스 통계 분석 프로그램인 R을 사용하여 공간적 자기상관인 Moran’I, 비행과 사회인구통계 변인들 간의 상관 및 회귀분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년 비행 분포의 시각적 지도화는 범주별 비행의 지역적 분포가 다름을 보여주었다. 둘째, Moran’I 통계치는 비행이 인근 지역의 비행과 상관이 없음을 보여주었다. 셋째, 비행과 사회인구통계 변인과의 상관 분석 결과, 저가 아파트 가구수의 분포와 지위 비행이 상관이 높게 나타났으며, 세대 소득과 비행 간에는 상관이 거의 없거나 낮으나 양천구만은 예외적으로 세대 소득이 높으면서 범주별 비행도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 요식업 수는 지위 비행과, 10대 인구수는 모든 범주별 비행과의 상관이 높게 나타났으며 비행과 도서관 수와는 낮은 상관을 보였다. 또한 5개의 사회인구통계와 비행의 회귀 분석 결과 설명력이 사이버 비행 59%, 폭력 비행 71%, 지위 비행 43%로 나타났다. 이 연구의 함의는 GIS를 이용하여 범주별 비행을 시각화한 것과 지역의 공간별 특성과의 관계를 살펴 본 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine spatial distribution of adolescent cyber, violence, and status delinquency related to social demographical variables such as the number of residential house under 2 hundred million(￦) and household annual income using Geographical Information System(GIS) of 11 administrative districts in Seoul Metropolitan. The data were used the 2nd and the 3rd data of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study(KCYPS), collected in 2011 and 2012, of the National Youth Policy Institute and social demographical variables collected by the ministry of the interior in 2014. The three delinquency variables were visualized used by X-Ray Map through which the spatial auto correlation, Moran’I statistics were calculated. Correlation coefficients and regression analysis between the three delinquency and 5 social demographical variables were conducted. As a result, we found the followings: 1) The three adolescent delinquencies were spatially differently distributed 2) Moran’I statistics were close to zero, which means the three delinquencies were independent from the closest neighbor administrative district 3) the number of residential house under 2 hundred million and status delinquency were relatively highly correlated and household annual income and the three delinquencies were lowly correlated except for Yancheon-gu. In addition, correlation between the number of restaurant and status delinquency and correlation between the number of the 10s and all three delinquencies were relatively high but correlation between the number of library and the three delinquencies were low 4) the 5 social demographical variables explained 59% of cyber delinquency, 71% of violence delinquency, and 43% status delinquency. The implications of this study were visualization and discovery of spatial characteristics of the three adolescent delinquencies using GIS.
