어린이집 원장의 리더십, 정서지능, 전문성 간의 구조적 관계 분석 (An Analysis of Structural Relationship among Directors' Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Professionalism)

초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 원장의 리더십, 정서지능, 전문성 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하고 그 과정에서 정서지능의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다.
방법 연구대상은 서울과 경기지역 소재 어린이집의 원장 265명이다. 설문조사를 통해 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 25.0 통계프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계 분석, 상관관계 분석, 구조방정식 모형 분석하였다.
결과 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이집 원장의 리더십, 정서지능, 전문성은 보통 이상의 높은 평균을 나타냈다. 둘째, 어린이집 원장의 리더십과 정서지능 및 전문성 간의 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 셋째, 어린이집 원장의 리더십, 정서지능, 전문성 간의 구조적 관계 모형은 적합하며, 리더십이 원장 전문성에 미치는 영향에서 정서지능의 부분 매개효과가 입증되었다.
결론 본 연구는 어린이집 원장의 리더십, 정서지능, 전문성 간의 구조적 관계를 밝히고, 리더십과 전문성 간의 인과관계를 매개하는요인으로서 정서지능의 중요성을 재고하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다. 논의를 통해 어린이집 원장의 리더십과 정서지능 계발을 위한 지원 방안을 제안하였다.

영어초록

Objectives The purpose of this study were to investigate the structural relationship among leadership, emotional intelligence, professionalism of childcare center director, and to verify the mediating effect of emotional intelligence.
Methods The subjects of this study were 265 childcare center directors in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do Province. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0 programs to analyze reliability, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling.
Results The results showed that first, leadership, emotional intelligence, and professionalism of the childcare center director showed a higher average. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between the leader ship, emotional intelligence, and professionalism variables of the childcare center director. Third, the leadership of the childcare center director had a positive effect on emotional intelligence and professionalism. In addition, the leadership of the childcare center director had an indirect effect on professionalism by partially mediating emotional intelligence.
Conclusions The results of this study suggest the necessity of improving leadership and emotional intelligence in order to improve the professionalism of directors. For this purpose, the study sought for ways to promote leadership and emotional intelligence. This study is meaningful in that it revealed the structural relationship between leadership, emotional intelligence and professionalism, and confirmed the importance of emotional intelligence that promotes causal relationship between leadership and professionalism
