[영화평론] 메트릭스를 보고 평가A좋아요

의예과 200114154 박준원우리가 흔히 꿈을 꾸다가 잠에서 깨면 꿈은 거짓이고 눈을 뜬 상태가 현실이라고 생각한다. 과연 그것이 진실일까? 또 다른 우리가 알지 못하는 세계가 있고 그것이 다만 눈에 보이지 않는다는 이유로 존재의 가치를 상실하는 것인가? 만약 눈을 떠서 보는 현실이 또 다른 가상의 세계라면 그것을 우리는 어떻게 받아들일 것인가?매트릭스가 우리에게 주는 질문은 두 가지로 압축될 수가 있다. 하나는 진실의 문제이다. 우리가 지금 살고 있는 세계가 과연 진실의 세계인가 아니면 허상의 세계인가 하는 것이 우리에게 던져주는 메시지라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 흔히 알고 있는 장자의 호접몽 에서 보듯이 아무도 우리가 존재하는 지금의 순간이 현실이고 다른 세계가 존재하지 않는다고는 장담할 수는 없다. 혹시 지금의 세계가 사실로 포장된 가상의 세계가 아닐까?매트릭스에서는 인간들은 자신있게 말한다. 자기들은 소위 인간의 존엄성에 위배되는 그래서 자신들의 열등한 위치를 벗어버리기 위한 인류대표의 저항군이며 매트릭스라는 공간 속에서 인공지능의 컴퓨터가 인간을 지배하고 통제하기 위해서 만든 기억의 조작을 이겨내기 위해 자신들은 투사임을 자처하고 있다고 강하게 주장한다. 그러나 결국 영화는 어느 것이 진실인지 말해주지는 않는다. 설령 우리가 그 영화를 보고 다시 한번 생각할 수는 있지만 어느 것도 진실인지는 알려 주지 않는다.아무도 진실이 무엇인지 알지 못할 수도 있다. 다만 우리가 알고 싶어서 발버둥치는 것 일뿐인지도 모른다. 그런 소위 인간임을 지키기 위해서 우린 또 다른 왜곡된 세계를 우리의 현실이라 칭할 수도 있다. 그래서 영화 속에서 우리의 주인공들이 진실을 찾지 못함을 부정하고 싶었던 것이었는지도 모르겠다. 우리 인간의 존엄성을 지키기 위한 의도였다면 차라리 영화 속에서 사실과 가상의 공간에 대한 구분을 명확히 구분짓는 것이 오히려 나았을 것이라고 생각한다. 하지만 영화에서는 주인공들은 너무나 정확히 사실과 가상을 잘 알고 있었고 그래서 다른 사람들은 아무도 하지 못하는 아니 아무도 의식하지 못하는 것조차도 알고 있었다. 사실 우리는 지금 아무런 의식도 하지 못한 채 지금의 현실을 받아들이고 있지만 그건 우리가 아는 진실과는 다를 수 있고 그것이 진실일 수도 있는 것이다. 마치 나비가 내가 되고 또 내가 나비가 되듯이.또 하나의 질문은 주인공이 택한 알약은 우리에게 있어서 삶은 항상 선택의 갈림길에 있고 어느 것도 그 길을 가기 전에는 알 수 없다는 것을 일깨워주고 있다. 또한 그 길은 설령 나중에 후회스럽다고 해도 돌이킬 수 없는 반직선임을 우리는 알고 있다. 그러나 언제나 영화에서 그러하듯 그들이 선택한 삶은 정의였고 승리의 길이라는 사실은 실망스럽기 그지없다. 우리네 삶은 굴곡이 있고 그런 삶의 너울거림이 선택의 위험성을 줄일수는 있겠지만 그렇다고 잘못된 선택을 합리화시켜주는 것은 아닐거라 생각한다. 늘 우리는 실패의 가능성을 안고 살며 그 가능성은 성공보다 더 커보이는 법이다. 영화속에서는 그런 진지한 고민은 보여주지는 못하지만 적어도 선택의 순간만큼은 상당히 망설이고 괴로워하게 된다. 적어도 그런 순간은 우리의 경우와 별반 다를 것이 없다. 또한 선택이란 늘 다른 하나를 포기하게 되는 과정임을 상기시켜준다. 그래서 시도조차 못해본 버려진 것에 대한 미련이 더욱 남게 되는 것일는지도 모른다. 아무튼 현실과 가상을 구분하기 조차 힘든 상황에서 선택의 순간이 주어진다면 난 아마도 모든 것을 포기할 것 같은 생각이 든다. 그러나, 우리의 주인공은 힘든 역경을 무사히 통과하고 결국은 인류의 메시아로 등장하게 된다. 아마도 이것이 우리에게 주는 교훈이 아닌가 싶다.

When the God has created this world, he commanded his people, us to be with one another and live together. Therefore we should not only make harmony among us but also care for other people’s feelings as well. But also, the God has made human beings to think and feel and that makes us to love ourselves more than others. We do not want to get hurt and be less happy than others. Even if it means hurting other people’s feelings, we would not care much if we can gain happiness by hurting others. We all know that it should never be done, but since this is a known fact, it is more difficult to do so. I believe she is a selfish person to gain her happiness. Even though she made a make-figure online to avoid and protect her from the sexual harassment, she has derided another by it. The only advice I can give to her is to tell the truth.

Our social problems and solutions for them There is a social awareness that entirely controls lives of human beings. That is called the ideology. In another words, ideology is a sense of values, a view of life or an outlook on the world that one can have within the society. From the childhood, we all get naturally habituate to all kinds of ideologies. Therefore, they have the greatest influence on our lives but no one either realizes or even tries to analyze them and just obey to them. In my opinion, out of all these ideologies, the biggest problem of our society is the illiberal ideology. For example, there is unpleasant regional grudge between Kyung--Sang-Do and Jeon-Ra-Do that never seems to be settled and the press like Cho-Son, Joong-Ang and Dong-Ah daily newspapers that mainly focus to maintain their vested rights by feign the neutrality.

This semester, I am currently taking a Counseling Psychology course. One of the main objectives that I am learning in this course is about counseling theories and techniques. In last class time, I learned 'Reality Therapy of William Glasser.' In his theory, William Glasser says, if he knows what he really wants and tries to achieve his real wants and needs in an effective way, there is nothing to worry about. His opinion was deeply impressive and has greatly influenced me. I realized that I've met trouble halfway. Until a few weeks ago, I was so worried about my family and my future. On Parents' Day of this year, I went to Ham-Yang to see my parents. I was very surprised and felt blue to see my father became much older than last time I have seen him. His wrinkled face and gray hair reminded me that he would be retire within 7 years and made me to worry about my parents' remaining years especially in winter times. As we all know, no one can stop time that flies by us. After that day, I changed my mind to do my duty as a son to my parents instead of just worry about the time that flew by us.

Recent days, my agony of my future has been settled. Honestly, I am in love now with a classmate from elementary school. It has been almost 16 years after we graduated but she has captured my heart the moment I led my eyes on her. Everything about my future seems shiny and bloom with roses and I am living in the pot of happiness with a hope to plight my truth with her. It was a big risk for me to come to Kwang-Joo last year. I had given many thoughts and had a hard time to actually decide on what I suppose to do for months before I finally decided to come down. I had to give up everything I had up to that moment and needed to start everything from the scratch. I had to plan my goals for my life all over again and that gave me worries because I had to start a new life at somewhat an older age. And mostly, I was not sure whether I could over come all the obstacles I may face or not with one resolution that I made. That resolution was to share what I have with people who live around me. This resolution has provided me to open my eyes to live in harmony with others rather than selfishly focus on my life and career.
