  • 왜 사람들은 운동을 하는가? Why do people do sports?
Why do people do sports?Have you tried to do sports? People like to do sports. You can see people do some sports everywhere. So, why do people do sports? Some people already have a good body and some people don’t like to study. As a result of doing sports, some people become healthy.People like to do sports because they have a strong body. For example, Choi Hong Man is a famous fighter in Korea. He has a big body. When I saw him, he looked different from us. It was the reason why he chose a fighting sport. In my case, I also like sports. But unfortunately, I don’t have a muscular body. I always try to do soccer and tennis but I haven’t improved my skills. When I was in the Army I had a friend, we always played soccer together. He played well and improved. However, I didn’t improve. He continued to do sports because he was good at sports. He was good at sports because he had a strong body. Therefore, some people like to do sports because they have muscular body.Another cause is some people don’t like to study. I have one friend. His name is Ki Hoon Kim. Actually he is a smart person. When we was middle school, he always got a high score but he didn’t like study. At that time he didn’t know “what do I need to do?” so, he just did some exercises. He played soccer with friends every weekend, finally he failed to enter a university. It was a bad result. Some young people just do sports because it’s very fun, it doesn’t needs some thinking but sometimes, it leads to bad result. However, sports lead to good health. For example, when I was young, I often caught a cold because I didn’t like sports. After I finished the military, I haven’t caught a cold until now. At that time I had exercised everyday so, I was little by little healthier than before. I had watched on TV show that showed us some research results. The old people who are over 100 years old have exercised. They said, “That’s why I’m a healthy person.” Therefore, sports lead to strong health. In conclusion, people want to do sports because some people have strong body and don’t like studying. However, sports can cause good health. Sports give us happiness and relieve stress. However, if you only did sports, you could lose other precious time. You should manage your time before you start to do sports. And finally you can get a health and happiness.

  • 칫솔 Toothbrush
How many times a day do you brush your teeth? Today many people commonly brush three times a day or many times a day. We are doing tooth brushing in our lives. It is within bounds to say that we are always together with toothbrush. Now, I’m going to talk about toothbrush’s history and how the toothbrush changed our dental health and facial expression and toothbrush’s the future. Before inventing today’s toothbrush people used a twig of the tree or the tree roots. Three-thousand years B.C., Egyptian started to use toothbrush, it was made of a twig of the tree. In the middle of ages, people used the tree roots for brushing people’s teeth; it was a toothbrush for people. The Chinese invented the first toothbrushes about 500 years ago. They were made from pigs’ bristles. (Bender 64) The Chinese used the wiry pigs’ bristles in a cold area. They put some bristles on the animal bones or the twig of bamboo tree. However, Dr. Louis Pasteur announced that virus is abundant in the hair of the animal. So, a little while later the first nylon brushes were made in 1930s. (Bender 64) In America, E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company launched the first nylon brushes in 1938. Many people said nylon brushes are “the toothbrush of the wonder” and the brushes have been widely used all over the world. After the toothbrush was invented, many different types of toothbrushes were made by the people. Such as a small type of toothbrush for kids and an electric tooth brush. In my case, I really like to use an electric toothbrush because I feel cleaner than using toothbrush. Therefore, today the nylon toothbrush and electric toothbrush became daily necessaries.Nowadays, a lot of people think a dental health is one of the most important things to the healthy and facial expression and people can become healthy using a toothbrush. For example, if you have a bad dental health, you cannot chew food properly. It can make a trouble in your intestine. As a result you can lose your health. On the other hand, if you have good dental health, you can give other people good impression. Professor Alyssa Picard said that the person who has a good looking tooth can be sure to succeed because the person can smile more times. (Picard 2) For example, when an applicant is interviewed in a company, the employer will observe the applicant’s face but if the applicant doesn’t smile and have a stern look, the employer might give him failure. Some employers can think that the guy who has bad teeth may be a lazy person. In case of Korea, older people often check somebody’s teeth. When a Korean man marries his girlfriend, the girlfriend’s father usually checked the man’s teeth. If a man has a bad tooth, some girlfriend’s father can oppose the wedding. As above the invention of the toothbrush, it has changed our life, dental health and what the pleasing facial appearance is. Therefore, today people should use toothbrush and manage own dental health. In the future, the toothbrush can be developed because we already saw toothbrush’s development. Of course the toothbrush will not be changed too much. The type of the toothbrush will be almost same as today because many people still use normal toothbrush and they don’t use electric toothbrush. When we want to clean our teeth, we have to know how to handle the toothbrush properly. We should brush from top to bottom, and from bottom to top, it is an important way. After somebody brushes teeth, he or she uses a dental floss too. Many people want to clean more and more. The normal toothbrush can be handled easier than electric toothbrush. That is why many people like to use normal toothbrush. However, we try to brush teeth hard but we cannot clean perfectly. Some residue can remain between the tooth and tooth. So some companies made a microfiber toothbrush, it is made of the very thin bristles. This can help our teeth cleaner. In the future, we will get more thin and soft bristle of toothbrush. Finally, someday we can clean perfectly our teeth. When I was young, I thought of magic fluid. If I drank that fluid, I would clean my teeth the same as brushing my teeth. We already have a mouthwash gargle and it can help us partially but it cannot clean our teeth as through brushing teeth. I wish some scientist could invent a magic fluid. Therefore, our teeth will be managed easier than today. In conclusion, the toothbrush gave us many kinds of changes, it changed our life and healthy even our ancestors. I dealt with the toothbrush’s history, the change of our dental health, the impression effect of the good teeth and the toothbrush’s the future. Now, I am reminded that I have to manage my teeth. If you want to take a beautiful life, you should start brushing your teeth and buy new thin bristle of toothbrush.Thank you,Work citedBender, Lionel. Eyewitness Invention. New York: DK, 2005. • 왜 사람들은 거짓말을 하는가? Why do people tell lies?
Why do people tell lies?We learn about someone say lies on TV or around us. There are many kind of lies. I also have lied in my life. So why do people tell lies? People lie for three reasons: success, to avoid troubles, and to attract interests.First, the reason is we want to get successful. In Korea, most companies need highly skilled applicant. The applicants have to get lots of license and experience. Therefore, some applicants lie on the resume. They think this is success. Someone lies in interview to increase his chance to be hired. Winter Bill say that It's all right to lie on a job resume to cover up one's lack of previous experience, says a widely read consultant. "If you have an extended, unexplainable gap in your resume, you are frankly going to have to lie." wrote John Molloy, a nationally syndicated columnist and author of Dress for Success, in his latest book, live for success.(Winter) When I was in the company, I saw a lot of lies. My one of colleagues lied to his boss every day. When he was reporting time, he reported false to show his boss but actually he wasn’t a result. All achievement lie is for success. We could see any famous person also telling lies. President of America Bill Clinton also had lied before because he wanted to hide past fault.(Stein) Therefore, some people lie because they want to lie successful. Moreover, the second reason is we don’t want to make trouble. For example, my wife likes to make the food very much. Unfortunately, sometimes her food wasn’t delicious but I couldn’t say this. I know this is a lie. If I said the truth, she would kill me. One year ago, I worked in Korean company. My department was sales, I had many customers. Actually I didn’t like them but I always said them, “you are very nice! And, your results were perfect every day!” I know that are the lies too, but I had to do that. I also lie to my parents last month. I was very sick in Canada but I always told my mom, “I’m ok! and I’m very healthy.” If I said the truth, she would have worried. Therefore, people lie to avoid trouble. Finally, the third reason is some people want other to think they are interesting. For example, one of my friends always lied to me and other friends. He usually lied to us about jokes or some rumor. At that time, we had expressed huge reaction. He said,“I like your reaction.” I think he just needs our interests. It is the same as some talk shows on TV. Many famous people tell us lots of interesting stories but some stories are lies. Therefore, people lie to attract interests. In conclusion, a lot of people tell lies. It can be for success, to avoid trouble or to get people’s interests. But we have known most people don’t like the lies. When you really want to tell a lie, you should think about two more time because the words once spoken cannot be retrieved.Works Cited1.
