As a result, they rarely have a free time in their daily lives. It may cause serious problems.So people need to have more leisure time and work less for their lives’ quality. Working too much makes health worse, hurts family relationships and prevents benefits from rest.First of all, noting is important than health in the world. The more people work harder, they are gradually getting worse their health and more stressful. No matter how much earned money by working hard, if people lose their health, it is futile. When people are stressed, they do not think clearly and their creativity is reduced or eliminated. Also, stress can zap their personalities and turn them into a different person. For these reasons, people need to combat stress and schedule leisure activities each and every day. They need fun little escapes daily to put their mind and body at ease. In this way, leisure time very simply relieves their stress and helps maintain their overall health.Next, overwork can make people tend to neglect their families.If people work harder and longer more and more, they cannot have an enough time to get along with their families. Cosmetic products do not affect our health directly but should animal testing also be banned for researches on incurable diseases such as cancer and AIDS?Medicines and cures to illnesses are crucial to life. Therefore, animal testing is essential and should not be banned or controlled by strict laws.Animal testing leads development of medicine for human being and animals, it is the most safe and sure way to find new illnesses so far and it is totally different with ‘Animal cruelty’.First of all, animal testing has brought many important changes into this world. Thousands of people are saved everyday through the use of medical drugs. This incredible gift of medicine would have been impossible without the use of animals in research. Most scientists agree that animal research produce comparable results to finding cures and treatments needed for people. In addition, animal testing can also be connected to animal welfare to a certain extent and preserve animals in danger of extinction. Livestock, including pets, can live longer and healthier lives through the use of vaccines. So, new treatments enhance the lives of humans and animals.Secondly, there seems to be no better alternative to animals when it comes to laboratory research. Although people against animal testing claim that it is inhumane and immoral to use animals for research, unfortunately, there has been no other better substitute found until today. Using humans for testing would be much more inhumane and would also be inefficient and a waste of time since people live longer lives compared to laboratory animals. As stated above, this ethical issue can be an important factor to consider but it would certainly be foolish to ban animal testing for this reason. Banning animal tests would significantly slow down medical advancements, costing people’s lives at stake.Lastly, ‘Animal cruelty’, another ethical issue brought up frequently for animal testing, is clearly a contradictory statement people make. The great majority of people eat meat without feeling any guilt and researches show animals being slaughtered for food go through much more suffering than animals used in laboratory researches. This is why I think this issue is contrary. Furthermore, to ensure better care for animals, researchers have made vast amounts of effort to improve laboratory environment for animal testing. Organizations such as the ‘People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) and the ‘American Association for Laboratory Animal Science’ (AALAS) has set standards for better care and treatment for laboratory animals. Nowadays, scientists are also encouraged to refine experiments to minimize the pain laboratory animals go through.Even though I agree with banning animal testing used in cosmetic researches, it would be impossible to eliminate the use of animals in researches for incurable diseases such as cancer and AIDS. Since new and more complex diseases can arise in the near future as people age, animal testing will play a more important role as time goes by. This is why we should not restrict or ban tests conducted on animals since research and animal testing is a key factor for finding new cures. Until we find an alternative to animal testing, animal testing will surely continue to benefit humans in many more ways. But we need to make sure that the millions of animals who are used for testing new products are treated with the minimum of suffering.
