The last time the death penalty was executed in Korea was in 1997. Since then, the execution has never been carried out, so Korea is effectively classified as a country that abolished the death penalty. However, whenever crimes such as rape and murder occur, the death penalty is causing heated public debate every time. The death penalty is a subject in which the pros and cons are sharply divided. I am opposed to death penalty.
