How do firms in the supermarket industry make money?The supermarket industry has traditionally operated at very low yields. There were supermarkets in various positions, from premium companies such as Whole Foods to discount markets such as ALDI, but they were all struggling. Wal-Mart became the largest grocery retailer in the United States, selling general merchandise such as clothing, electronics, household goods, hardware and toys as well as groceries. Target Corporation, another supermarket, did not operate as many supermarkets as Wal-Mart, but threatened the supermarket industry by active expanding its food corners in stores across the country.With this trend, supermarketl difficulties. The company filed for bankruptcy protection, suspended dividends, or hired Goldman Sachs and Greenhill & Co. to review its business strategy. Like the Pasadena, which opened for the first time, it was located near the academic center of learning. It began to open in villages where universities, well-educated people, classical musicians, museum curators, and journalists usually live. In line with this, Trader Jose distributed products aimed at sophisticated consumers interested in finding good products. They served natural and organic foods that are not commonly found in supermarkets, such as coffee beans, budding wheat bread, and black rice. Granola, a private label product released by Trader Joe's, also offered a wide range of private label products, lso begun offering California wines as a focus as a product tailored to educated and sophisticated customers, removing albums and panty stockings that were previously commonly distributed in supermarkets from shelves. Trader Joe's was smaller than the average supermarket, and stocked up on small quantities of goods. In addition, Trader Joe’s did not advertise traditional supermarkets, such as television commercials filled with coupons. Trader Joe’s instead distributed customer newsletters to provide information or behind-the-scenes stories about specific products, not discount promotions.Trader Joe’s was full of marine artifacts and staff wore Hawaiian shirts. The store manager was called Captain and his first mate was his assistant. Trader Joe’s also considered it important to pay employees high wages, allowing full-time employees to earn $7,000 a year in median household income. This allowed Trader Joe’s employees to take pride in their jobs and improve the quality of their services.able?Trader Joe’s expanded to more than 400 areas. Experts estimated the return of Trader Joe’s at about $10 billion and predicted higher return on investment than most supermarkets. Trader Joe’s operated only about 4,000 SKUs per store, compared with 50,000 in most grocery stores. It was unusual compared to a typical supermarket generating 20% of its sale through personal label products. Because of this, it was difficult to find major brands in Trader Joe's, and if customers wanted brands like Coca-Cola, they had to find other distributors. Also, there was no variety of fresh meat or agricultural products because Trader Joss offered a limited number of products. There were no household necessities such as baby food and toothpicks, but instead they tried to provide new products that customers had never experienced before. But Trader Joe's buyers didn't feel like a big threat because they were looking for exciting new products and trying to keep up with the trend. This is because these at Trader Joe’s80% of Trader Joe's customers attended college and targeted individuals who were intelligent, educational, and curious. I believe that they need to focus on Flat Panel Display materials.First of all, they have experience in this field. They have been making TAC and WV film for LCD screens since 1996. Also, developing this material has consistency with their core competency in display field. Thus I believe it makes some synergy effect when I consider their industry background.Second, in terms of market and future market potential, they sold as much as Y160 billion in 2006 and there is big market potential since appliance and PC such as TV, computer monitor, laptop is more likely adapt this LCD for the future.Third, in terms of competition, not only they have dominant market leader but also, there was no commercially viable substitutes for TAC in the LCD market. Thus, there is not much competition.Lastly, in relation to market entry barrier, it is capital intensive product. In order to make a big screen they already have a plan to invest Y24 billion for another plant. By doing this they can have EOS advantage. Thus, they would reduce cost and it differentiates against competitor and make entry barrier being high.For these reasons, I believe they need to focus on the Flat Panel Display for their future profitable force.

넷플릭스 '명불허전'을 감상하며허임의 일생에 관해제출일2022. 06. 13전 공과 목건강과 한의학학 번담당교수이 름주제 선정 동기경영학도로서 '건강과 한의학' 수업을 들으며, 레포트 주제로 2019년 말부터 시작되어 2022년 현재까지 이어지고 있는 코로나 팬데믹이 전국 한의계에 미치는 영향을 시장분석하듯이 해보고자 하는 의지가 있었다.해서 자료조사를 하다보니, 2021년 7월 8일 한의신문에서 발표한 인터뷰 자료를 찾게 되었다. "한의계의 넷플릭스, 왓챠가 될 것"이라는 제목으로, IT 기술을 바탕으로 한의학을 널리 알리고 싶어했던 한의사 김현호 씨가, '한의플래닛' 운영을 거쳐 2021년 1월 주식회사 '7일'을 만들고, 온라인 학술대회 교육 플랫폼인 '하베스트'를 런칭한 내용이었다. OTT 업계의 선두주자인 넷플릭스처럼, 학계 내의 양질의 컨텐츠를 확보하여 전국에서 질 높은 연구를 진행하고 있으나 공유와 확산에 어려움을 겪고 있는 소규모 연구회들을 돕고자 한다는 내용이었다. 이를 보고 굉장히 가벼운 마음으로, 넷플릭스에 '한의학'이라는 키워드를 검색해 보았더니, 앞으로 내용을 다루게 될 드라마 '명불허전'을 발견하게 되었다.총 16화로 구성된 드라마는, 김남길 배우가 연기한 '허임'이라는 조선의 한의사와 김아중 배우가 연기한 현대 의사 '최연경'이 타임슬립을 통해 만나게 되며 일어나는 일들을 다룬 의학, 한의학 드라마였다. 이 '허임'이라는 이름은 처음 들어본 이름이었는데 검색해보니 실제 조선 중기의 한의사로, 임진왜란 때 조선이 분조하면서 광해군을 모신 것으로 알려져 있는, 국내 한의학에서는 허준 다음으로 영향력을 크게 미친 인물이었다고 한다. 즉 경제학으로 따지면, '경제학의 아버지'로 알려져 있는 애덤 스미스 그 다음으로 경제학에 영향을 크게 미친 존 케인즈 같은 위상의 인물이라고 생각하니, 모든 한국인들에게 정말 밀접하게 닿아있는 한의학에서 큰 비중을 차지하는 인물이 이렇게도 유명하지 않을 수 있구나, 하며 관심이 가기 시작했다.해서, 이번 건강은 혜민서에서 오래 있었는지, 혹시 허임-허준은 성도 같고 이름도 같은 외자인 게 가족 관계에 있었는지 등의 궁금증을 갖게 되었다.허임은 악공 출신의 아버지와 사노비인 어머니 사이에서 태어난 천출이라고 한다. 아버지 역시 강원도 양양도호부 소속의 관노 출신이었다. 천출인 탓인지 출생년도와 사망년도는 미상이며(1570~1647이라고 이야기하는 자료도 있었다, 어떤 자료가 맞는지는 알 수 없었다.) 선조~광해군 시절에 활동한 한의사로 보인다. 조사해보니, 허임의 가문은 원래부터 천한 신분이었던 것이 아니었다. 허임의 7대조는 관학파 중 한 명이자, 조선 초기의 문신 관료, 세종 때 명재상으로 이름을 날렸던 '송골매' 허조(許稠)이다. 이 허조라는 인물은 고려 시대 말, 성리학을 들여온 학자 문성공 안항의 외고손자로 추측하건대 허임의 가문은 명망 높은 가문이었을 것이다. 허나 허조의 아들 허후(許詡)는 수양대군이 단종을 몰아내고 권력을 찬탈하려던 것을 반대하다가 교형을 당했고, 손자 허조(許慥)는 성심문, 박팽년, 하위지를 비롯한 6인의 사육신과 함께 단종 복위를 위해 힘쓰다가 발각되어 자결하였다. 이후 허임의 가문은 영원히 잔읍의 노비로 귀속되게 되었다.그리고 허준과 허임은 같은 시기(선조~광해군) 시기에 활동했지만 가족 관계는 아니었다. 한의계에서 가장 영향력을 크게 미친 두 인물이 가족 관계가 아님에도 비슷한 이름을 가지고 있는게, 일반인의 입장에서는 조금 신기하기도 하였다. 허준이 1539~1615년에 활동하면서, 추천을 받아 내의원에 들어갔고 1575년부터 선조를 진료하는 의원이 되어 임진왜란 때도 선조의 곁을 지킨 것에 반해, 허임은 허준의 추천으로 내의원에 들어가 임진왜란 때는 분조한 광해군과 함께 전장을 지킨 것으로 조사된 바에 따르면 허임이 허준보다 조금 늦은 활동시기를 가지고 있는 듯 하다.혜민서는 무엇을 하는 곳이었을까. 혜민서는 조선 시대 때 의약 그리고 일반 서민의 치료 및 질병관리를 맡아보던 관청이라고 한다. 도성민을 대상으로 한 의료와 궁이 직접 찾아와 왕의 편두통을 치료하도록 할 정도며 허준이 그의 침술을 칭찬할 정도였다. 실제 역사 속 자료를 찾아보았다.선조 37년 허준과 선조가 나눈 대화를 확인할 수 있었다."신은 침을 잘 모릅니다만 허임이 평소 말하기를 경맥을 이끌어낸 다음에 아시혈에 침을 놓을 수 있다고 했습니다."이와 같이 허준이 역사 속에서도 허임의 침술을 칭찬한 바 있었으며, '조선실록'의 기록에 따르면 다음과 같은 일이 있었음을 확인할 수 있다."침의인 허임이 전라도 나주에 가 있는데 위에서 전교를 내려 올라오도록 재촉한 것이 한두번이 아닌데도 오만하게 집에 있으면서 명을 따를 생각이 없습니다. 임금의 명을 무시한 죄를 징계해 국문하도록 명하소서."(광해군 2년)"어제 임금께서 ‘내일 침의들은 일찍 들어오라’는 분부를 했습니다. 그런데 허임은 마땅히 대궐문이 열리기를 기다려 급히 들어와야 하는데도 제조(정2품 고위관리)들이 모두 모여 여러 번 재촉한 연후에야 느릿느릿 들어왔습니다. 이 말을 들은 사람들이 경악스러워하니 그가 임금을 무시하고 태연하게 자기 편리한 대로 행동한 죄는 엄하게 징계하지 않아서는 안 됩니다. 잡아다 국문을 해 그 완악함을 바로잡으라고 명하소서.”(광해군 6년)즉, 왕이 불렀음에도 지방에서 올라오지 않거나 느릿느릿하게 들어오는 등의 기행을 벌였던 것이다. 허나 이에 대해 광해군은 이를 벌하지 않고 뛰어난 침술로 인해 오히려 상여금을 내렸다고 한 일을 확인할 수 있었다.1644년 을 편찬하였다. 일반인인 필자로서는 처음 들어본 책이었지만, 규장각과 한독의약박물관에 소장되어 있으며, 조선을 넘어 국제적으로 소개된 침구학의 유명 책으로 통한다고 한다. 18세기 일본에서 유학온 의사 산센준안의 이야기를 살펴보자. 산센준안은 조선으로 유학 와서 조선의 의사들이 침구를 사용하는 것을 관찰했는데, 대부분의 의사가 허임의 침구법을 배워서 이용하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 그는 "유독 조선을 침에서 최고라고 하는데 평소 중국에까지 그 명성이 자자하다는 말은 정말 꾸며낸 말이 는 시대이니, 참으로 다행이오"자연스레 우황이 한약재 중 하나겠구나, 라고 생각을 하던 찰나, '내가 알고 있는 그 우황청심환의 우황인가?'하는 궁금증이 생겨 찾아보게 되었다.근데 이게 왠걸, 우황이 “소의 담낭에 염증으로 생긴 결석을 건조시켜 만든 약재”라고 한다. 동의보감에는 “중풍으로 인해 쓰러진 후 갑자기 인사불성이 되면서 정신이 혼미할 때” 사용하도록 써져 있고 요새는 중요한 시험 등을 앞두고 긴장을 풀기 위해 우황청심원을 먹곤 한다. 도대체 소의 결석을 건조시켜 약재로 쓸 생각을 어떻게 했나 궁금해서 처음 사용한 계기를 찾아보려 했으나 아쉽게도 찾지 못하였다.7화 내용을 보며드라마 속에서 흥미로운 장면이 나온다. 조폭과 조폭에서 손을 씻은 한 가족의 가장 간에 다시 들어오도록 설득하다가 칼부림이 일어난다. 그래서 조폭은 손을 씻은 가장의 무릎을 정확히 가로로 베었고, 조폭에서 손을 씻은 가장은 그 과정에서 배를 가로로 찔렀다. 이에 경찰이 수사를 하며 누가 먼저 칼로 벤 것이고 누가 그 방어 과정에서 공격을 하게 된 것인지 의사 최연경에게 물어보는 장면이 나온다. 이에서 궁금한 점이 생기는데, 한의학에서는 외과 수술이 불가능한가? 이다. 사실 한의학 하면 생각나는 장면은 칼을 들고 외과 수술을 진행하는 장면보다도 침, 뜸, 한약 이 세 가지이다. 그리고 실제 생활에서 한의학에서 외과적 수술을 한다는 이야기, 받았다는 이야기를 들어본 적이 없기도 하다. 물론 삼국지를 읽다보면 관우의 어깨를 수술한 화타의 이야기가 생각나기도 하지만, 이는 또 설화적 이야기일지도 모른다는 의심이 든다.2015년 4월 한의신문에서 발표한 기사를 찾아보았다. "전통의학의 수술요법은 당나라 때부터 독립된 전문분과로 존재"라는 기사였다. 한국한의학연구원이 주최한 세미나에서, 대만중앙연구소 역사언어연구소의 리젠민 교수가 밝힌 “중국 당나라 때부터 전통의학의 수술요법이 독립된 전문분과로 존재”했음의 내용이었다. 이에 따르면, 전통적인 한의학의 수술요법이 존재하였으나 유학 특유의 '이후 다룰 내용이지만 중인 출신의 허준이 정1품까지 오른 데에 반해 천민 출신의 허임이 정3품까지 오른 것 역시, 정말 대단한 일이었을 것이다.허준이 오른 정3품이 얼마나 높은 관직인지 궁금해서 허준에 관한 자료를 찾아보았다. 1575년 때 선조를 진료하는 의원이 되었으며, 1578년 내의원 첨정이 되었다고 한다. 이 때 '경국대전'에 규정된 내의원직은 정3품 정 1명, 종4품 첨정 1명, 종5품 판관 2명 등으로 이루어졌다고 하니, 내의원 첨정의 직위를 알 수 있었다. 이후 1587년에는 어의 양예수와 함께 선조를 치료한 공으로 호피를 하사받았다는 기록을 발견할 수 있었다. 1590년, 광해군의 두창을 치료하였고 이와 관련이 있는지, 1591년 당상관에 오르게 된다는 기록을 찾을 수 있었다. 여기서 당상관이 바로 조선의 정3품 이상의 고위 관료를 칭하는 말로 허준이 정3품에 있었다는 드라마의 언급을 확인할 수 있었다. 원칙적으로 당상관은 문과/무과를 합격한 자들만이 오를수 있었던 것으로 당시에 어의라고 해도 '의관'인 허준이 당상관에 오른 것은 매우 이례적인 역사라는 점을 보고, 역시 대단한 인물이었구나 하는 생각을 다시한번 하게 되었다. 추가로, 이 때 허준이 당상관에 오르자 사헌부/사간원/홍문관 등에서 허준의 당상관 임명을 취소할 것을 왕에게 여러번 간절히 요청했다는 기록이 있으며 이는 당시 의관이 당상관에 오른다는 게 얼마나 전례없는 일인지 알 수 있는 부분이었다고 한다.그런데 추가 조사를 하다 보니, 더욱 놀라운 사실을 발견할 수 있었다. 드라마에서 이야기한 정3품에서 그치지 않고, 허준이 정1품까지 진급하였었다는 내용이었다. 위에서 분명히 내의원직은 정3품 정이 가장 높은 직위였는데, 어떻게 정1품까지 진급하였다는 것일까.1596년 세자 광해군의 천연두를 고친 공으로 종2품에 올랐고, 이 시기에 동의보감 편찬을 시작하였다고 한다. 1600년 수의 양예수가 병사하면서, 허준이 내의원 최선임자로서 수의가 되었다는 기록을 확인하였는데, 이 때 이전 수의인
