농촌 거주 다문화가정 아동이 인식한 부모와의 갈등 및 의사소통에 관한 연구 (A study on communication and conflicts between children and their parents of multi-cultural families living in rural areas)

초록

본 연구는 농촌 다문화가정 아동의 부모 간 의사사통과 갈등 양상은 어떠한지에 대해 살펴보고자 다문화가정 자녀 185명을 조사대상으로 연구되었다. 연구 결과 농촌 다문화가정 아동의 갈등은 평균보다 낮았다. 갈등요인 중 가족관계 갈등이 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로 자아정체성갈등, 국가 및 지역정체성갈등, 친구관계갈등으로 나타났다. 연구문제에 따른 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 농촌 다문화가정 아동의 갈등은 평소 따돌림 경험에 따라서 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 갈등하위변인인 가족관계 갈등인식은 따돌림 경험과 모국적 변인에 따라 차이를 보였다. 또한 자아정체성 갈등인식은 연령과 따돌림 경험에 따라 차이를 보였으며, 친구관계갈등 또한 따돌림 경험에 따라 유의한 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모 간 의사소통에 있어서는 아동의 성별과 연령 및 모 국적에 따라서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 다문화가정 자녀의 부모 간 의사소통유형과 갈등 간 관련성은 갈등과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 모와의 개방적인 의사소통은 자녀갈등과 부적인 상관성을 보였으며, 부-모 간 문제형 의사소통은 갈등과 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 넷째, 갈등에 영향을 미치는 변인에 있어서는 모와의 개방형 의사소통, 부와의 문제형 의사소통, 따돌림 경험여부, 모와의 문제형 의사소통이 영향력 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 이는 다문화가정 아동의 부-모 간 개방형 의사사통 수준이 높을수록, 따돌림 경험이 낮을수록 아동의 갈등이 낮으며 동시에 갈등인식이 낮아지고 또래관계도 원만할 수 있음을 유추할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 급격한 인구감소와 이농현상이 심각한 농촌지역에 차세대 인적자원인 다문화가정 자녀 육성지원에 대한 방향성 제공에 시사점을 제공한다.

영어초록

This study aims to investigate what the patterns of communication and aspects of conflicts between children and their parents of multi-cultural families living in rural areas and how explanation can relatively influence the situation according to variables. The sample size of the study is 185 children of multi-cultural families. The result shows that the conflict of the children is lower than the average but the conflict caused by family relationship is the highest among the sub conflict factors followed by the self-identity, the country and regional identity, and the friendship. According to the result of this study, we can infer the followings: Firstly, the total recognition of the conflict according to the related variables shows the meaningful difference according to whether they have an experience of being bullied. The recognition of the conflict of family relationship shows the meaningful difference according to whether they have an experience of being bullied and to the nationality of their mothers. The recognition of the conflict of the self-identity shows the meaningful difference according to whether they have experienced the bullying and to their age. In addition, the recognition of the conflict of friendship also shows the meaningful difference according to whether they have an experience of being bullied. Secondly, in the aspect of the communication between parents, there is the meaningful difference according to not only the gender and age of the children but the nationality of their mother. Thirdly, the study has found that the conflict and the pattern of the communication between parents have a correlation. An open communication between parents shows the negative correlation with the conflicts whereas the trouble in communication between parents shows the positive correlation with the conflicts. Fourthly, the variables influencing the conflicts found in this study are the open communication with mother, the trouble in communication with father, the experience of being bullied, and the trouble in communication with mother. The power of explanation on their conflicts is 38.4%. We can infer that the higher the level of an open communication between parents is and the fewer the experience of being bullied is, the lower the conflict of the children is recognizing conflicts less and making a good relationship with their friends. The result of this study provides implications for the direction to support children of the multi-cultural families, which are human resources of the next generation, living in rural areas experiencing drastic decrease in population and increase of rural exodus.
