청소년의 스마트폰 관련 비행과 범죄에 영향을 미치는 변인연구 (A Study on the Variables Affecting the Juvenile Deliquency and Crime Related to Smartphone)

초록

본 연구는 최근 그 심각성으로 인하여 사회문제화 되고 있는 청소년의 스마트폰 관련 비행 및 범죄에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 살펴보고, 이 변인들이 스마트폰 관련 비행 및 범죄를 설명하는 정도와 상대적 영향력에 있어서 성별, 교급별로 차이가 있는지에 대해 다각적으로 분석하여 스마트폰관련비행 및 범죄예방에 효과적인 실천방안과 정책결정의 이론적인 근거자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우선 인터넷 중독, 스마트폰 폐해에 따른 비행과 범죄 등 선행연구 이론을 고찰 하였다. 다음으로 k광역시에 소재한 7개 중·고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년 중에서 스마트폰을 소유한 청소년들을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 통해 총419명(남214명·여205명)을 본 연구 대상으로 표집 하였다. 종속변인인 스마트폰 관련비행 및 범죄의 경험여부 10문항, 독립변인인 스트레스 8문항, 스마트폰 중독 10문항, 충동성 10문항, 하위변인인 자아존중감 10문항, 가족지지 10문항, 학교애착 5문항 등 전체 63문항으로 구성하여 실시하였다. 회수된 설문지는 통계 프로그램 SPSSWIN 16.0을 이용하여 각 문항별로 반응빈도를 집계한 이후 백분율로 환산하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, t검증을 실시하였다. 청소년의 스마트폰 비행 및 범죄경험에 대한 성별, 교급별 차이를 분석하기 위해 교차분석을, 청소년의 스마트폰 비행 및 범죄와 관련 독립변수인 스트레스, 스마트폰중독, 충동성 변인과 하위변인들(자아존중감, 가족지지, 학교애착)이 전체 집단에서 스마트폰 비행 및 범죄에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 성별, 교급별로 분류하여 각각 알아보고 변인들 간 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 관련변인을 상대로 분석해보면 성별, 교급별 스마트폰 비행 및 범죄경험에서 남학생이 여학생보다 비행 경험 수준이 높고, 중학생, 고교생이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 전체 집단에서 청소년스마트폰 비행 및 범죄 관련 변인들이 스마트폰 비행 및 범죄경험에 미치는 영향력은 약 42%정도로 매우 중요하게 검증되었다.
셋째, 스마트폰 비행과 범죄 관련 변인들인 스트레스, 스마트폰중독, 충동성, 자아존중감, 가족지지, 학교애착간의 상관분석 결과, 청소년의 스마트폰과 관련된 비행 및 범죄에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인들 간에 대부분이 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영어초록

This study looked into the variables that would affect the juvenile delinquency and crime related to smartphone, which has become a social problem due to its seriousness, and conducted a multi-faceted analysis to find any difference based on gender and school class in relation to the explanatory extent of such variables towards the delinquency and crime related to smartphone and relative influence of those variables in order to present the theoretical basis and data necessary to map out the effective measures and policy for the prevention of delinquency and crime related to smartphone.
For that, the theories of the preceding studies were considered in relation to the delinquency and crime arising from the misuse of internet addiction and smartphone.
The samples were collected from a total of 419 students(214 male students, 205 female students) by using the structured questionnaires designed for adolescents who possessed the smartphones among the adolescents attending the 7 high schools located at K Metropolitan City. The questionnaire consisted of 10 questions related to the experience/non-experience with delinquency and crime related to smartphones which is the dependent variable, 8 questions related to the stress which is the independent variable, 10 questions related to the smartphone addiction, 10 questions related to impulsiveness, 10 questions related to self-respect which is the sub-variable, 10 questions related to the family support, and 5 questions associated with attachment to the school, and other questions.
The collected questionnaires were analyzed by the frequency test, technical statistics, and t-test after the estimation of response frequency for each question and the conversion to percentage using the SPSSWIN 16.0, a statistical program.
The cross analysis was conducted to analyze the difference by gender and school class in relation to the juvenile delinquency and crime related to smartphone. Moreover, the correlation analysis was conducted for the variables, along with the regression analysis by gender and school class, in order to determine the effect that the stress, which is the independent variable associated with juvenile delinquency and crime related to smartphone, smartphone addiction, impulsiveness variables, and sub-variables(self-respect, family support, attachment to the school) would have on the delinquency and crime related to smartphone in the entire group.
The results of this study were as follows:First, male students had higher degree of experience with delinquency while a significant difference was found between middle school students and high school students in relation to the experience with juvenile delinquency and crime related to smartphone based on gender and school class when the related variables were analyzed.
Second, the variables associated with juvenile delinquency and crime related to smartphone had a significant effect as high as approximately 42% on the experience with delinquency and crime related to smartphone.
Third, the stress, smartphone addiction, impulsiveness, self-respect, family support, and attachment to the school -- which were the variables associated with delinquency and crime related to smartphone -- were analyzed to determine the correlation. The results of the analysis showed significant correlation among the most variables that would affect the juvenile delinquency and crime related to smartphone.
