보육시설 재이용의사 결정요인 연구 - 보육서비스 질을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Determinants of Reuse Intention of Childcare Facilities for Infants and Young Children: With a focus on the quality of childcare service)

초록

본 연구에서는 영유아 보육서비스 질이 재이용의사에 직접적인 영향을 미치는지 혹은 매개변수를 통해 간접인 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 일차적인 수요자이며 보육시설 선택에 있어 중요한 영향력을 미치는 학부모들을 대상으로 조사를 실시함으로써, 학부모의 욕구에 부합하는 보육서비스를 제공함은 물론 실 수혜자인 영유아에게 발달적 특성에 맞는 질적으로 우수하고 적합한 보육서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
이와 같이 학부모의 보육서비스에 대한 기대치와 보육시설 재이용에 가장 중요하게 인식하는 보육서비스의 정확한 선택기준을 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
보육시설에서 영유아가 안전하고 생활하고, 다양하고 적합한 영역으로 발달을 촉진할 수 있도록 조성된 물리적환경은 이용만족도를 높이지만 재이용의사에는 결정적으로 작용하지 않았다. 이는 보육대상인 영유아의 연령이 하향화되어 영유아들의 보육시설 이용시간이 증가함에 따라 학부모님들이 보육시설을 선택하는 기준이 물리적 환경보다는 다른 요인의 보육서비스에 초점을 두고 고려되고 있음을 의미한다. 즉 보육프로그램과 보육교사의 자질이 이용만족도를 높이고 재이용의사를 높이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 보육시설의 지속한 발전을 위해서는 재이용의사를 결정하는데 직접적이고 중요하게 작용하는 보육프로그램과 보육교사의 자질에 초점을 두고 보육서비스를 제공하여야 할 것이다. 특히 보육시설 재이용의사에 제일 크게 영향을 미치는 보육프로그램의 개발과 운영은 보육교사의 자질에 의해 좌우되는 것들이다. 즉 영유아들을 안전하게 보육하고, 질문에 적절하게 응답해 줄 수 있는 능력을 갖추며. 영유아들에게 재미있고 흥미롭고, 영유아들이 스스로 주도적으로 이끌게 하는 보육프로그램의 개발과 운영은 결국 보육교사의 자질에 따라 달라지기 때문이다. 따라서 보육시설 재이용의사에 복합적이면서 결정적으로 영향을 미치는 보육교사로서의 자질을 담보하여야 할 것이다. 보육교사로서 담보된 자질은 보다 질 높은 보육서비스를 제공하게 될 것이다.
이와 같이 이용만족도와 재이용의사를 결정하는 보육서비스 요인연구는 시장경쟁하의 보육시설존립과 함께 보육서비스 질 향상에 이바지할 것이다.

영어초록

This study set out to investigate whether the quality of childcare service for infants and young children would have direct effects on the reuse intention or indirect effects on it through parameters. By conducting a survey with parents, who are the primary users of such service and have critical influences on the choice of childcare facilities, the study would provide basic data to offer childcare service to meet the needs of parents and also proper high quality childcare service fit for the developmental characteristics of infants and young children, who are the actual beneficiaries of such service.
Parents' expectations for childcare service were identified as follows along with the accurate selection criteria of childcare service that they considered to be the most important for the reuse of childcare facilities: Created to help infants and young children lead a safe life and facilitate their development in various appropriate areas at childcare facilities, the physical environment raised the usage satisfaction but had no decisive impacts on the reuse intention, which implies that parents consider other factors rather than the physical environment with a focus on childcare service when selecting a childcare facility for their children as infants and young children attending such a facility become increasingly younger and accordingly spend more hours at the facility. That is, the childcare programs and the qualification of childcare teachers increased the usage satisfaction and reuse intention. The findings indicate that they should provide childcare service with a focus on the childcare programs and the qualification of childcare teachers, which have important direct influences on the reuse intention, for the continuous development of childcare facilities. The development and operation of childcare programs, which have the greatest effects on the reuse intention of childcare facilities, are particularly dependent on the qualification of childcare teachers. In other words, the qualification of childcare teachers determines the development and operation of childcare programs to ensure the safe care of infants and young children, offer the abilities to give appropriate answers to their questions, promise them fun and interest, and encourage them to take the initiative. It is thus needed to guarantee the qualification of childcare teachers that have complex and decisive influences on the reuse intention of childcare facilities. Once their qualification is guaranteed, more high quality childcare service will be provided.
Researches on the factors of childcare service to determine the usage satisfaction and reuse intention will make a contribution to the survival of childcare facilities and the enhanced quality of childcare service under the market competition in the future.
