수퍼비전 경험 횟수와 역전이 관리능력 간의 관계: 수퍼바이지 자기개방성의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Relationship between Supervision Experiences and Countertransference Management: The Moderating Effect of Supervisee’s Self-disclosure)

초록

본 연구는 수퍼바이지의 수퍼비전 경험 횟수와 역전이 관리능력의 관계를 확인한 후, 수퍼바이지의 수퍼비전 내 자기개방성이 수퍼비전 경험 횟수와 역전이 관리능력 간의 관계를 조절하는지 검증하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 연구자는 전국에 근무하는 302명의 상담자로부터 상담자 근무연수, 진행한 상담회기 수, 수퍼비전 경험 횟수 외에 수퍼바이지의 자기개방성, 수퍼바이지의 역전이 관리능력 등의 자료를 수집했으며, 수집된 자료는 자료의 특성에 맞게 SPSS 23.0과 SPSS Macro로 분석되었다. 분석 결과 첫째, 상담자의 수퍼비전 경험 횟수는 역전이 관리능력에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이는 상담자 근무연수와 상담회기 수를 통제한 후에도 영향은 여전히 유의했다. 둘째, 수퍼바이지 자기개방성이 역전이 관리능력에 미치는 영향은 정적으로 유의하였다. 셋째, 수퍼바이지의 수퍼비전 경험 횟수와 역전이 관리능력 간의 관계에서 수퍼바이지의 자기개방성은 조절 효과를 보였다. 즉, 수퍼비전을 많이 받을수록 수퍼바이지의 역전이 관리능력이 증가하지만, 수퍼비전 경험 횟수 대비 역전이 관리능력이 향상하는 정도는 자기개방성이 높은 수퍼바이지보다 자기개방성이 낮은 수퍼바이에게서 그 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 수퍼비전에서 수퍼바이지가 개방하는 내용의 다섯가지 영역 중에서 ‘상담 진행 및 개입 관련 영역’과 ‘상담자-내담자 감정 및 개인적 이슈’ 영역에서 조절효과가 확인되었다. 연구 결과를 기초로 본 연구의 시사점, 제한점, 그리고 제언 등을 논의하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to examine whether supervisee’s self-disclosure moderates the relationship between the number of supervision experiences and countertransference management ability after verifying the relationship between the number of supervision experiences and the countertransference management ability of supervisees. 302 Participants answered the questionnaire about the year of counseling experiences, the number of counseling sessions, the number of supervision experiences, the supervisee’s self-disclosure, and the countertransference management ability. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 23.0 and SPSS Macro. First, the results showed that the number of supervision experiences significantly affected the countertransference management ability. The effect was still significant even after controlling the number of counseling sessions and the year of counseling experiences. Secondly, the supervisee’s self-disclosure had a positively significant effect on the countertransference management ability. Thirdly, in the relationship between the number of supervision experiences and the countertransference management ability, the self-disclosure of supervisees showed a moderating effect. That is, more supervision experiences led to improve countertransference management ability, but the ratio of countertransference management ability compared to the number of supervision experiences was higher in supervisees with low self-disclosure than high ones. Moreover, the moderating effect was identified two sub-scales such as, ‘the counseling process and intervention’ and, ‘counselor-client emotions and personal issues’, among five sub-scales of Supervisee’s Self-disclosure. Based on the results the implications and limitations of the study and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
