초록

This thesis was written to show the Jung yak-yong's Self-Regulative theory. As we know, Jung yak-yong was a very well-informed scholar and politician. Notwithstanding his unfavorable conditions, he wrote and remained many literally productions, among them 　Mok min sim seo(牧民心書) is specially famous and read.
Self-Regulative theory　was written a part of "Mok min sim seo".　The main content is that a man particularly special official must regulate himself to be a good service man.　 Generally speaking, this is not so difficult that we cannot practice for most of us work and live thinking his own interest, welfare and honor. But Jung yak-yong　emphasized that it is a moral and legal duty for the officials to regulate himself.
The main sub-subjects are as followings; (1) Taking of the mind; (2) Well-conducting; (3) Distinction of the public affairs and private affairs; (4) Living with economy; (5) Right solution of confusions; (6) Confirming of the social bases; (7) Over-coming of the many kind of difficulties; (8) The acoustics The writer will think that these regulative items should be adhered by every public officials and also general people. For example, well-conducting and living with economy are important not only in the public institution but also in the individual lives.
Lastly I would like to emphasize the Jung yak-yong was a great scholar and remained many kind of items to be studied by the modern-Koreans and states men.
