The Impact of Emotional Leadership and Organizational Emotions on Organizational Members' Commitment

Due to the rapid advancement of information technology and globalization, technical capabilities are increasingly emphasized, intensifying competition, and causing the emotional well-being of organizational members to wither. To address this, it is necessary to create an environment where coexistence is possible and to cultivate emotional capabilities. This study analyzed the causal relationship between emotional leadership, organizational emotions, and the committed attitudes of organizational members.
In the study, emotional leadership was measured in terms of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Organizational emotions were measured at the individual, group, and intergroup levels, while committed attitudes were measured in terms of organizational commitment, team commitment, job commitment, and career commitment. A total of 655 questionnaires were distributed, with 435 collected. The tools used were modified and supplemented based on those of Golman (2012, 2022), Hamme (2003), Stubbs (2015), Aleson & Baysinger (1984), and Fottler et al. (2011).
Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS Win 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. Construct validity was verified through factor analysis, reliability was measured using Cronbach's alpha, and differences between clusters were analyzed using t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square tests, and F-tests. The study results confirmed that emotional leadership and organizational emotions significantly influence the committed attitudes of organizational members, with organizational emotions mediating the effect of emotional leadership on committed attitudes.
