초록

2000년 초 인터넷 기술과 함께 주목을 받았던 비즈니스 모델이 4차 산업혁명 시대의 디지털 기술의 도래와 함께 다시금 부상하고 있다. 이러한 디지털 기술로 무장하기 시작한 Google과 Amazon은 물류 영역 생태계에 많은 변화를 주면서, 기존의 물류 기업에게 도전하는 세력으로 등장하였고 스마트폰을 이용한 P2P 거래 방식으로 물건 공유뿐 아니라 서비스도 공유하는 Uber 공유 모델이 물류 영역에도 빠르게 등장하고 있다. 본 연구는 물류 스타트업의 비즈니스 모델을 조사 분석하고 분류 작업을 통해 미래 물류 산업에 대한 혁신 사업 모델에 대한 새로운 아이디어를 도출하며, 디지털 변화에 대응하는 전략과 미래 물류 환경에서 필요한 디지털 기술 확보를 위한 기회를 제시하고자 하였다. 전 세계 물류 스타트업의 체계적 분석과 분류 작업을 통해 23개의 디지털 물류 비즈니스 모델 유형을 정리하였다. 11개 유형이 모바일 인터넷, 센서 등의 4차 산업 핵심 기술들과 연관되어 있으며, 4개 유형(물류 기술 스타트업 투자 방식, 물류 관리 소프트웨어 개발 판매, 생활 물류 서비스 제공 방식, B2B 물류 서비스 연계 서비스 방식)이 디지털 기술과 물류 비즈니스에 새롭게 도출되었고 특히, 고객의 맞춤형 물류 서비스가 스타트업의 주요 사업 영역으로 등장하였다.

영어초록

The business model, which was strongly focused with the broad diffusion of Internet technology in early 2000s, is reemerging with the advent of the digital technology in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Google and Amazon, armed with such digital technologies, have emerged as a force to challenge existing logistics companies while making many changes to the logistics domain ecosystem. And the Uber Model, which shares not only goods but also services, is rapidly emerging in the logistics area through P2P trading using smart phones. This study investigates and analyzes the business models of the logistics startups and classified digital logistics business model types. By means of this work, we draw out new ideas about the innovation business model for the future logistics industry and find out the strategy to cope with the digital change and the digital technology necessary for the future logistics environment. Through the systematic analysis and classification of the global logistics startups, 23 types of digital logistics business models are organized. 11 types are related to the 4th industry core technologies such as mobile internet and sensor, and 4 types (logistics technology startup investment model, development and sales of logistics management software model, lifestyle logistics service delivery model, B2B logistics service connection model) has been newly drawn into the digital technology and logistics business, in particular, customized logistics services of customers have emerged as the main business area in logistics startups.
