신임경찰의 심리사회적 성숙도, 성태도, 성희롱․성폭력 인식과의 관계 (Recruits’ relationship among psychosocial maturity, sexual attitude, and sexual harassment․sexual violenceawareness)

초록

본 연구는 경찰조직에 성과 관련된 의무위반이 급증하고 있어 신임경찰관의 심리사회적 성숙도, 성태도, 성희롱․성폭력 인식의 정도를 파악하여, 심리사회적 성숙과 성태도와의 관계를 통해 향후 신임경찰관의 성희롱․성폭력 예방교육은 물론 성폭력 사건의 사회적 통념에서 벗어나 피해‘2차 피해’를 방지교육 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구통계학적 특성에 따라 심리사회적 성숙도, 성태도는 유의한 차이를 보이고 있어 향후 상황과 시대적 배경을 바탕으로 개방적인 신개념의 도덕성을 바탕으로 책임감 있고 긍정적인 방향의 성 건강 교육을 해야 한다고 생각된다. 둘째, 성희롱・성폭력 인식은 중앙경찰학교 교과목에 양성평등교육을 비롯하여 성희롱, 성폭력 등 젠더폭력 예방교육을 실시하고 있어 인식의 수준이 기존의 통념에서 벗어나고 있으나, 아직도 데이트 성폭력, 부부강간의 인식도는 낮게 나타나고 있어 향후 이 부분에 맞는 젠더폭력 예방교육을 반복할 필요성이 대두된다. 셋째, 성태도와 성희롱・성폭력 인식은 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성태도가 개방적이고 허용적인 개념의 도덕성이 높으면 기존의 잘못된 성희롱・성폭력 인식의 통념에서 벗어나고 있다고 볼 수 있으나, 심리사회적 성숙도와 성희롱・성폭력 인식은 정적인 상관관계가 없는 결과를 가져왔다. 넷째, 연구대상자인 신임경찰관의 성희롱・성폭력 인식은 우리사회 만연된 기존의 통념에서 벗어나고 있고, 앞으로 최 일선에서 근무하게 될 경찰관으로서 각종 젠더폭력 사건사고 피해자의‘2차 피해’방지를 위해 잘못된 사회적 통념을 적용하지 않고 있다는 것으로 생각되므로 시대적 변화의 영향을 많이 받고 있는 성 태도에 맞추어 젠더폭력 예방교육과 함께 인권감수성을 향상시키는 인권교육이 필요하다고 생각된다.

영어초록

This study tried to provide basic data for preventing and educating secondary damage escaping from social conventions of sexual violence accidents as well as sexual harassment․sexual violence prevention education of recruits in the future through the relationship between psychosocial maturity and sexual attitude by grasping their psychosocial maturity, sexual attitude, and sexual harassment․ sexual violence awareness as police organizations’ violation of duty related to sex has rapidly increased. The conclusions drawn from the study are as follows: 1. It is thought that sexual health education must be done based on open morality of the new concept in a responsible and positive direction Psychosocial maturity and sexual attitude on the basis of future conditions and the time setting as psychosocial maturity and sexual attitude show significant differences according to demographic characteristics. 2. For sexual harassment・sexual violence, the level of awareness has escaped from the existing common notion through gender violence prevention education including sexual harassment and sexual violence as well as gender equality education in the subjects of the Central Police Academy. However, the need to repeat gender violence prevention education arises as awareness of date sexual violence and marital rape is low still now. 3. It has found to be a positive correlation between sexual attitude and sexual harassment・sexual violence awareness. When the sexual attitude is open and morality of the permissible concept is high, recruits can be found to escape from the existing wrong common notions of sexual harassment・sexual violence awareness. However, the result of psychosocial maturity and sexual harassment・sexual violence awareness has found that there is no any positive correlation between them. 4. Recruits’ sexual harassment・sexual violence awareness has escaped from the existing common notions which are rampant in our society. And it is thought that human rights education for improving human rights sensitivity with gender violence prevention education is required by satisfying the sexual attitude that is very much influenced by chronological Change not to be ‘secondary damage’ from victims of all kinds of gender violence accidents.
