수판셈학습이 정신지체아의 수학능력 향상에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Mathematics Ability Improvement in the Abacus Calculation on Mentally Retarded Children)

초록

본 연구는 수판셈학습이 정신지체아의 수학능력 향상에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 특수학교 2개교에 소속된 특수학급의 정신지체아 32명을 무선으로 피험자를 선정하여 실험집단과 비교집단으로 대상을 구분 수학적 기초 능력인 수 개념, 수 기능 능력, 계산 능력에 대한 수학능력 탐색을 위한 학습에 수판셈학습을 적용하였다.
연구결과, 수판셈학습을 적용한 정신지체아 집단은 전통적인 수학학습을 적용한 집단보다 수학능력의 향상 점수가 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과와 이론적 배경을 종합하여 얻은 결론은 수판셈학습은 정신지체아의 수학능력 향상에 효과적이라는 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mathematical ability improvement in the abacus calculation on mentally retarded children . 32 random subject students were chosen for this research, belonging to the students in special classes for the education of mental retarded children in two handicapped middle schools. The students are divided into two groups, the experimental group and the comparative group. The abacus calculation is applied to the numeral conception on the mathematical basic ability, numeral skill ability and the learning for mathematical ability investigation into the calculation ability.
The research field is parted in six. The numeral conception as a basis of numeral organization is cut in two, the numeral counting and the numeral understanding. The numeral function ability as a basis of connectional thought is split in two, the numeral composition and the numeral decomposition.
The calculation ability as a basic operation ability is divided into addition used for numeral composition and subtraction used for numeral decomposition.
Leaning methods are like this ; the experimental group learns math applied abacus calculation learning and the comparative group learns math applied traditional method. What measure the learning results is used as data. The data are measured the learning outcomes used some experimental instruments after the research. The summarized results that abacus calculation learning effect the mental retarded children of the ability improvement go like this.
The mathematical ability improvement grades of the group applied the abacus calculation is higher than that of the other group applied the traditional method.
The abacus calculation learning effects the mental retarded children mathematical ability improvement.
Second, there was the broadest gap between the two groups in copying Design 7, which signified the characteristics of the relationship with father or other dominant male. Design 6 was copied by the two groups in the second most different manner, followed by Design A, Design 3, Design 4, and Design 8 in the order named. Design 6 is looked upon as a mirror of affective state, like transient emotions and moods, and Design A signifies the experienced relationship with mother and the experienced heterosexual relationship. Design 3 is assumed to stand for ego-drive, being viewed as an index of assertiveness, motivation and the tendency toward self-expression. Design 4 elicits association about the relationship of mother or heterosexual relationship, and Design 8 facilitates the projection of the test subjects' perception of the ego or phenomenal self.
Third, when the symbolic meaning and interpretative hypotheses of the BGT designs were considered, the major personality traits of the emotionally disturbed children's behavior were troubled human relations, hostility, impulsiveness, acting out, a sense of pressure, fear, a sense of inferiority and psychological withdrawal. The teacher observation results agreed to these findings in large part.
