입학사정관제 입학생들의 지원 전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Support Strategy of New Students of the Admission Officer System)

초록

21세기는 정보화와 글로벌화로 인해 지식과 정보의 중요성이 부각되었고 이것을 창의적으로 활용할 수 있는 인적자원의 중요성이 부각되었다. 기업에서도 창의적인 인재를 선발하기 위해 다양한 채용 프로세스를 도입하듯이 대학에서도 리더십과 도덕성, 창의력과 문제해결능력 등의 다양한 능력을 갖춘 학생들을 선발하려고 노력하고 있다. 입학사정관제는 학교생활기록부 반영비중을 강조하면서 정량적인 전형요소 뿐만 아니라 정성적인 측면까지 고려하기 위해 도입되었다. 본 연구는 첫째, 입학사정관제 전형 입학생의 전반적인 대학생활 의식 및 실태를 파악하며 둘째, IPA(Importance Performance Analysis) 분석을 통해 입학사정관제 전형 입학생의 건강한 대학생활 지원 방안을 위한 세부적인 항목을 비교 탐색하고 셋째, 입학사정관제 전형 입학생의 역량 강화 전략 및 안정적인 제도화를 위한 제안적 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는 목적이 있다. IPA분석 결과, 소프트웨어적 특성, 교수(교･강사), 교육, 하드웨어적 특성, 물리적 환경 순으로 중요하게 여겨졌으며, 만족도의 경우 소프트웨어적 특성, 하드웨어적 특성, 물리적 환경, 교수(교･강사), 교육 순으로 나타났다. 특히, 교수(교･강사), 교육영역이 중요도는 높은 반면, 만족도는 낮게 나타났다. 교수(교･강사)의 경우 강의 전달의 효율성이 적극 보강해야 하는 영역으로 나타났으며 면담태도, 면담의 개방성은 재검토 하는 영역에 해당되었다. 교육의 경우 수업선택의 다양성이 적극 보강해야 하는 영역으로 나타났으며 수업 인원의 적절성은 재검토 하는 영역으로 나타나 그에 따른 지원방안이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 결론에서는 입학사정관제 전형 입학생들의 대학생활 지원방안을 위한 효과적인 방법과 전략들이 개선방안으로 제시되었다.
본 연구의 기대효과는 첫째, 입학사정관제 전형 입학생의 실태를 통한 특성 및 강점을 파악할 수 있을 것이며 둘째, 입학사정관제 전형 입학생의 맞춤형 대학생활 지원프로그램 및 지원전략의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 입학사정관제 전형 입학생을 위한 제반 교육적 효과 예측 및 향상에 기여할 수 있으며 넷째, 입학사정관제의 바람직한 활성화 방안 및 향후 잠재력이 우수한 학생 선발을 통해 대학 발전에 기여할 수 있는 시안적 모델 개발을 조력할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

영어초록

The importance of knowledge and information is being emphasized in 21st century due to the informatization and globalization, and the importance of human resources that can use them creatively is being magnified. As companies are introducing various employment processes to select creative outstanding individuals, universities are putting effort to select students with various abilities as leadership, morality, creativity, and problem solving ability as well. Also, the government announced 'improvement plan of college entrance system after 2008 for normalization of school education' in 2004 by considering connection with the high school curriculum. The admission officer system was introduced to emphasize the reflection portion of high school transcript and to consider quantitative selection factor and even qualitative aspect. Meaning, it was introduce with an expectation that it can connect the selection and education of new students.
First, this study was intended to investigate awareness and actual condition of general university life of the admission officer system students, and secondly, to compare and investigate detailed items for the support plan of healthy university life of new students of the admission officer system. Thirdly, this study was intended to provide strategy of strengthening capacity of the admission officer system type students and suggestive base data for stable institutionalization.
According to the IPA analysis result, software characteristic, professor(lecturer), education, hardware characteristic, and physical environment were considered importantly in the order listed above, and in the order of software characteristic, hardware characteristic, physical environment, professor(lecturer), and education for the satisfaction level. Specially, while the importance level of professor(lecturer) and education was high, the satisfaction level appeared to be low. The effectiveness of lecture was identified to be an area that needs to be strengthened for professors(lecturer), and interviewing attitude and openness of interview fell under areas that need to be reexamined. For education, diversity of class selection was an area that needs to be reinforced, and it was identified that the appropriacy of number of people in class needs support plan as it appeared to be an area that needs reexamination. Based on this conclusion, effective method and strategies for university life support plan of new students of the admission officer system were suggested as the improvement method.
The first expected effect of this study is identifying characteristics and strengths through actual condition of new students of the admission officer system, and secondly, this study will be used as base data of the support program and support strategy of customized university life of new students of the admission officer system. Thirdly, this study is expected to contribute to predicting and improving various educational effect for new students of the admission officer system, and fourthly, this study is expected to assist development of the draft model that can contribute to the university development through appropriate vitalization model and by selecting students with excellent potential of the admission officer system.
