직무일치에 영향을 미치는 대학생의 특성 변인 (Analysis on Characteristic Variables Affecting Job Match of College Students)

초록

본 연구에서는 직무일치에 영향을 미치는 대학생의 특성 변인을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 한국고용정보원의 2011년도 대졸자 직업이동 경로조사(2011GOMS) 자료를 활용하여 이항 로지스틱 분석과 다중 회귀분석을 통한 분석을 실시하였다.
분석결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무일치 하위요소인 교육일치와 기술일치, 그리고 전공일치 이 세 요소 모두에 영향을 미치는 대학생의 특성 변인은 개인심리적 변인인 전공 만족도와 취업에 전공지식의 중요도이다. 전공 만족도가 높을수록 직무일치에 영향을 미치며, 취업에 전공지식의 중요도 또한 높을수록 직무일치에 영향을 미치게 되는 것이다. 둘째, 교육일치와 기술일치 두 요소에만 영향을 미치는 대학생의 특성변인은 대학의 소재지와 성별로 나타났다. 수도권보다 비수도권이 교육일치와 기술일치에 영향을 미치고, 남성이 여성보다 교육일치와 기술일치에 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 전공일치에만 영향을 미치는 대학생의 특성 변인에는 전공(사회, 교육, 공학, 자연, 의약, 예체능), 취업목표 설정, 평점, 자격증과 전공의 연관성이다.
개인 심리적인 변인인 전공 만족도와 취업에 전공지식 중요도가 직무일치에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 대학교육이 지식을 잘 전달하고 잘 가르치는 것도 중요하지만 학생들에게 전공 만족도를 높일 수 있는 교육 또한 중요함을 인식시켜 준다. 그러기 위해서 대학생들에게 지원되는 프로그램들을 학교 차원에서 마련하여 모든 대학생들에게 일괄적으로 시행하는 것보다, 학과의 특성에 맞는 맞춤형 프로그램을 개발하여 대학생들에게 지원함으로써 그 효과를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

This study is aimed to analyze characteristic variables of college students affecting job match of them. In order to achieve the aim of this study, binomial logistic analysis and multiple regression analysis are executed utilizing the data of 2011GOMS.
The results of this study are as follows: First, the characteristic variables of college students affecting all of three sub-elements of the job match are satisfaction on the major in individual psychological variable and importance of specialized knowledge in employment. The higher satisfaction on the major is, the more effect have on job match and the higher importance of knowledge on the major in employment is, the more effect have on job match. Second, the characteristic variables of college students affecting education match and technology match are a location of their university and gender. Non-capital regions are more affecting on technology match than the capital region and men are more affecting on education match and technology match than women. Third, the characteristic variables of undergraduate affecting major match are major(society, education, engineering, nature, medicine, art), aim of employment, grade, and relation between certificate and major.
It is proved that satisfaction on the major in individual psychological variable and importance of specialized knowledge in employment affect job match. As a result of this research, it is considered that implementing the education which can improve satisfaction on the major as well as teaching competently is important. In order to do so, university should improve satisfaction on the major by providing tailored program for the students which is appropriate to the characteristic of the major rather than implementing an uniformed program.
Also, it can be considered more difficult for the students majored in the humanities to have a career related to their own major than for the students majored in other majors to have a career related to their major. This phenomenon might be derived from the fact that the number of occupations related to humanities is in a decline. However if this phenomenon lasts continuously, the number of humanity major will decrease continuously. Therefore various support measures have to be instituted for the these humanities students.
