새 도덕과 교육과정의 내용 구성 요소 연구: 소크라테스 교육 사상을 중심으로 (A Study on Content Element of New Moral Education Curriculum Construction: Focused on Socratic Viewpoint)

초록

본 연구는 도덕교육의 핵심 과제인 지행의 괴리 문제 해결에 기여할 것으로 예상되는 소크라테스의 교육 사상에 초점을 두고 새 도덕과 교육과정 개발에서 교육 내용을 선정할 때 고려해야 할 중요한 논점들과 내용 구성에 대한 제반 문제들을 고찰하였다. 특히, 본 연구는 플라톤의 대화편들에 나오는 등장인물 소크라테스의 교육적·윤리적 주장들을 소크라테스의 도덕교육론으로 종합하고 거기에 비추어서 도덕과 교육과정의 내용 구성에 관한 제반 문제들을 현행 2015 개정 도덕과 교육과정과 관련하여 비판적으로 검토하고 바람직한 내용 구성 방식에 대해 논의하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 교육 내용이 도출되는 교육 목표, 교육 내용이 전달되는 교육 방법, 교육 내용이 학습되는 측면인 도덕성의 형성 문제에 대해 소크라테스의 지식관과 관련하여 검토하고 목표, 내용, 방법을 모두 아우르는 교육 내용 제시 방법으로서 패키지 형 교육 내용 제시 방법을 제안하였다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 도덕교육에서 지행의 괴리 문제를 해결하기 위해서 인간 존재의 도덕적 수준을 변화시켜야 할 필요성을 확인하였으며, 이에 따라 새 도덕과 교육과정 개발 연구자는 소크라테스의 교육 사상을 포함해서 관련된 교육·윤리사상을 도덕과 교육과정 내용 연구에 활용할 필요성을 확인하였다.

영어초록

This study aims to suggest the issues to be considered with regard to the selection of the contents of moral subject matter among the elements of moral education curriculum construction and to inquire the matters related to the construction of desirable contents of moral subject matter. For this purpose, first of all, it inquired the relation between the nature of moral knowledge as the content of moral subject matter and the educational aim of moral subject matter because the content of moral subject matter is derived from the educational aim of moral subject matter. Especially, it performed these tasks based upon the theory of Socratic education which will help solve the problem of the discrepancy between moral knowledge and moral action. Secondly, it dealt with the matter related to the formation of morality, that is, the aspect that the educational content of moral subject matter is learned by students because the educational content has its appropriate educational method. Thirdly, this study suggested the educational content of package type including educational objective, content and method as the method of the effective suggestion of educational content in moral subject matter. Finally, this study briefly dealt with the matter related to the evaluation of morality. In sum, in order to inquire the effective construction of educational content in moral education curriculum this study reviewed the educational aim, content, method and evaluation, in moral education, which are four elements of curriculum construction from the viewpoint of Socrates. Through this study, we can know that Socrates tried to change the moral level of human existence to solve the problem of the discrepancy between moral knowledge and moral action.
