    초록

    This paper was aiming at tracing the original form of our people own ‘teojabgi’ before receiving Chinese fengshui’s influence. It was before and after the Unified Shilla period when Chinese fengshui affected our people. Before the 5th century, Goguyeo was not influenced by Chinese fengshui. Later, Goryeo, after the Unified Shilla era and the confusion period of Later Three Kingdoms, had 9 national certificated ‘Jirieop(地理業)’ examination subjects. It had also books written by native koreans, such as 『Doseongi』, 『Doseonmilgi』, 『Okryonggi』, 『Samgaksanmyeongdanggi』, 『Samhanhoetogi』 and 『Songak myeongdanggi』, which were quoted in 『Goryeo History』. Therefore, Chinese fengshui and our own ‘teojabgi’ were mixed in Goryeo period. However, when it entered Joseon dynasty, 9 geomancy books selected for ‘Jirihak(地理學)’ examination that were all Chinese. ‘Teojabgi’ of our people was completely transformed into Chinese fengshui.
    How did our own ‘teojabgi’, which still remains around us, look like in the transformation process? Historic research, available historical sources and sites are necessary to trace this original form, although, unfortunately, they are not sufficient. However, I utilized 『Shinjibisa』, 10 phrases quoted in 『Joseon Sanggosa』 by Danjae and capital cities in the beginning of Goguyreo era (Onyeosanseong and Guknaeseong) as a starting point for tracing the original form of our ‘teojabgi’. The tradition of our own ‘teojabgi’, shown in 『Shinjibisa』 and the capital cities of Goguyreo period were spouted in 『Goryreo History』 (Gimwijejeon) in a flash, without disappearing in a long history. Goryeo fengshui was completed incinerated or secretly hidden at Seoungwan (the 17th year ruled by King Taejong, 1417) in Joseon dynasty after destroying Goryeo dynasty. Even the secretly hidden ones all disappeared during Japanese Invasion of Korea between 1592 and 1598. However, I tried to establish the fact that a part of vestiges of our own ‘teojabgi’, which had been handed down orally or secretly, still remained in 『Jeonggamrok』, 『Taekrigi』 and folk geomancy by comparing with Chinese fengshui. I tried to demonstrate that representatively, a trace of mutual balance logic, balance beam ↔ weight ↔ scale addressed at 『Shinjibisa』 was shown in the systems of two capital cities(兩京制) of Goguyreo, three capital cities of Goryeo, ‘Sipseungji(十勝地)’ in 『Jeonggamrok』 and three animals in not moving position(삼수부동격·三獸不動格) in folk fengshui. In other words, our own founding was not related to one site but to multiple sites, emphasizing the balance among the sites. I provisionally concluded that it was our own characteristics of ‘teojabgi’ before influence of Chinese fengshui. In case of 『Taekrigi』, which caused a controversy if it was a fengshui book or an anthropogeography book, I clearly addressed that it was based on our own ‘teojabgi logic’, with “our people are (...) the one of the country in the east”, which was in the same tradition with 『Joseon Sanggosa』 by Danjae (Shin, Chaeho), where he saw that our people as Dongi tribe(東夷族).
    Later, I will continue to establish the original form of our own ‘teojabgi’ on the basis of historic sites i.e., Goguyreo, Baekje, Silla, Gaya and more tracing back to Gojoseon, where our people took living foundation before the 5th century, started the inflow of chinese fengshui.
