초록

· 연구 주제: 본 연구에서는 트랜드 분석 정보인 뉴스 빅데이터 분석시스템인 빅카인즈(BICKinds)를 활용하여 평생교육의 미래 발전적 방향을 분석하고 평생교육의 학문적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해, ‘평생교육’에 관련 분석하고 키워드 트랜드(trend)와 연관성이 높은 키워드를 시각화하여 연관어 분석을 통해 대학 성인학습자를 대상으로 한 교육정책 수행과 평생교육 미래에 대한 발전 방향을 도출한다.
· 연구 배경: 지식정보 시대의 현대사회에서 지식 및 기술의 수명은 단축되고 있는 현실이다. 오늘날 급속한 사회변화는 인간 발달의 교육적 욕구 충족과 자기개발 및 삶의 질 향상이라는 측면에서 바라볼 때 교육제도를 새롭게 정비할 필요성이 절실히 요구된다. 이러한 사회 속에서 평생학습은 개인이나 국가적인 차원 측면에서 볼 때 지속적 성장을 위해서는 핵심적인 요소라고 할 수 있다. 새로운 지식 및 정보를 습득하기 위해서는 평생학습체제는 필연적이다.
· 선행연구와의 차이점: 첫째, 본 논문은 평생교육에 관한 뉴스 빅데이터를 분석하여 우리나라 평생교육에 관한 트렌드(trend)에 대해서 객관적인 연구결과를 제시하였다. 둘째, 본 연구는 학령 인구감소 시기에 시의적절한 연구주제를 통해 우리나라 평생교육 정책 수립에 유용한 정보를 제공하였다.
· 연구 방법: 본 연구의 자료는 빅카인즈(BICKinds)를 활용하여 ‘평생교육’에 대한 키워드 분석을 최근 2000년대 이후 2023년 상반기까지 평생교육에 대한 언론보도 및 뉴스 56,843건을 논문 분석에 활용하였다. 연구 방법은 ‘평생교육’에 관련 분석, 키워드 트랜드(trend)와 연관성이 높은 키워드를 시각화하여 연관어 분석을 실시하였다.
· 연구 결과: 본 논문의 연구결과를 통해 평생교육관련 언론보도는 지방 자치구의 평생학습에서 비롯하여 점차적으로 자치구, 성인학습, 대학교육으로 이어지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이는 지방소재대학의 학생 수 감소와 관련이 있음을 증명함과 동시에 지방소재의 대학이 재정 위기극복 방안으로 제도적인 정비를 함에 있어 성인학습자의 평생학습시대를 주도하고 있음을 시사한다.
· 공헌점 및 기대효과: 첫째, 본 논문은 평생교육을 키워드로 하여 뉴스 빅데이터 분석을 실시함으로써, 객관적인 연구 결과를 제시하였다. 둘째, 본 논문에서 제시하는 연구 결과를 통하여 평생교육의 일반적인 인식, 평생교육 핵심 역량에 관한 의미 있는 정보를 파악할 수 있다. 셋째, 본 논문은 평생교육 정책 관련 현장 실천가들의 인식과 정책 방향을 마련하고, 미래 평생교육 정책 수립 시 고려할 점과 시사점을 제공한다.

· Research topics: This study aims to analyze the future development direction of lifelong education and present academic implications for lifelong education using BICKinds, a news big data analysis system, which is a trend analysis information. To this end, we analyze related to 'lifelong education' and visualize keywords that are highly related to keyword trends, and derive directions for the future of lifelong education and implementation of education for adult university learners through related word analysis.
· Research background: In the modern society of the knowledge and information era, the lifespan of knowledge and technology is decreasing. Today's rapid social change desperately requires the need to reorganize the educational system in terms of satisfying the educational needs of human development, self-development, and improving the quality of life. In this society, lifelong learning can be said to be a key element for sustainable growth from an individual or national level. In order to acquire new knowledge and information, a lifelong learning system is inevitable.
· Differences from prior research: First, this paper presented objective research results on trends related to lifelong education in Korea by analyzing news big data on lifelong education. Second, this study provided useful information for establishing lifelong education policies in Korea through timely research topics during the period of school-age population decline.
· Research method: The data of this study used Big Kids to analyze keywords on 'lifelong education' from the recent 2000s to the first half of 2023, and 56,843 media reports and news on lifelong education were used for thesis analysis. The research method was related to 'lifelong education' and related word analysis by visualizing keywords that are highly related to keyword trends.
· Research Results: From the research results of this paper, we found that media reports related to lifelong education are gradually leading to autonomous districts, adult learning, and university education, starting with lifelong learning in local autonomous districts. This proves that it is related to the decrease in the number of students in local universities, and at the same time suggests that local universities are leading the era of lifelong learning for adult learners in institutional maintenance as a way to overcome the financial crisis.
· Contribution points and expected effects: First, this paper presented objective research results by conducting news big data analysis with lifelong education as a keyword. Second, meaningful information on the general perception of lifelong education and core competencies of lifelong education can be grasped through the research results presented in this paper. Third, this paper prepares the perceptions and policy directions of field practitioners related to lifelong education policy, and provides points and implications to consider when establishing future lifelong education policies.
