취학 전 아동의 설명담화 유형별 유효정보 특성 (The Characteristics of Effective Information by Expository Discourse Type of Type of Preschoolers)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 취학 전 아동의 설명담화의 유효정보의 특성을 알아보는 것으로, 설명담화 유형별로 전체발화와 동일발화로 분리하여 그에 따른 유효정보의 수와 종속절별 유효정보 비율을 비교하여 설명담화유형별 발달을 이해하고 중재하기 위한 기초자료를 제시하는 데 있다. 대상자는 취학 전 7세 일반 아동 30명으로, 계열, 비교, 수집유형의 설명담화를 회상산출한 언어표본을 분석하여 유효정보 수(유효정보를 포함하는 C-unit의 수)와 유효정보의 종속절별 비율을 구하여 비교하였다. 연구결과 설명담화 유형 중 유효정보의 수는 계열, 비교, 수집유형 순으로 높게 나타났다. 설명담화 유형별 종속절의 비율은 전체발화(아동의 전체 발화)와 동일발화(연구자의 제시문과 동일한 내용의 발화) 모두 계열유형은 관형절, 부사절, 비교유형은 명사절, 관형절, 수집유형은 관형절, 명사절에서 높았다. 전체발화와 동일발화 간 종속절의 유효정보 비율을 비교한 결과 모든 유형에서 유의미하였다. 종속절 유형별 유효정보 비율은 전체발화와 동일발화 모두 관형절은 수집, 계열, 비교유형 순으로, 명사절은 비교, 수집유형 순으로, 부사절은 계열, 비교유형 순으로 나타났고, 인용절은 비교, 수집유형이 같은 비율로 나타났다. 전체발화와 동일발화 간 설명담화의 유효정보 비율을 종속절별로 나누어 비교한 결과 관형절, 명사절, 부사절에서 유의미하였다. 연구결과 설명담화 유형 중 초기에 발달하는 것일수록 유효정보의 수가 많았고, 종속절 유형 중 초기에 발달하는 명사절과 관형절이 모든 설명담화 유형에서 많이 나타났다. 설명담화 유형 중 초기에 발달하는 계열유형에서는 부사절도 높은 비율로 나타났다. 설명담화 유형별 발화과제 특성에 따라 주된 종속절의 유형이 다르게 나타났다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of effective information of expository discourse of preschoolers. The subjects in this study were 30 7-years old preschoolers. The results of this research showed that the number of effective information by expository discourse type was highest in affiliation followed by comparisons and collection types. In the rate of effective information of subordinate clauses by expository discourse type in both the entire utterance and the identical utterance, affiliation types were high in determiner clauses and adverbial clauses, while comparison types were high in noun clauses and determiner clauses. Collection types were high in determiner clauses and noun clauses. The results of comparing the rate of effective information of subordinate clauses between the entire utterance and the identical utterance showed that they were all significant in all types. In the rate of effective information in all entire utterances and the identical utterance, the determiner clauses were found to be highest in the collection type, followed by the affiliation type. The comparison type and the noun clauses were found to be highest in the comparison type, followed by the collection type. Adverbial clauses were found to be highest in the affiliation type, followed by the comparison type, while quotation clauses appeared equally in the comparison type and the collection type. The results of comparing the rate of effective information of the expository discourse between the entire utterance and the identical utterance by subordinate clauses showed that they were found to be significant in the determiner clauses, the noun clauses, and the adverbial clauses. The earlier the types of the expository discourse were developed, the higher the number of effective information was. The noun clauses and the determiner clauses among the subordinate clauses that were developed early were found to be high in all expository discourse types. In the affiliation type that was developed early among the expository discourses, the adverbial clauses also appeared at a high rate. The main subordinate clause types were found to be different according to the characteristics of the utterance tasks by expository discourse type.
