중국 조선문 잡지의 실태와 전망 (The Reality and the Prospect of the Korean Chinese Magazine Industry)

초록

중국 조선족이 지금까지 민족의 독자성과 정체성을 보존하면서 생존해 온 것은 중국의 소수민족정책, 조선족의 교육체계 등 중요한 요인을 제외하고라도 모국과의 활발한 교류와 언론출판과 같은 매스 커뮤니케이션 활동과 무관할 수가 없다. 특히 조선족의 끊임없는 신문과 잡지와 같은 출판활동은 민족의 정신을 고양하고 민족의식을 향상시키며 선진 문화를 전파하고 민족의 정보력을 키우는 등 민족 문화 발전의 기초 시설물로서 중요한 역할을 했다. 뿐만 아니라 민족의 언어와 문자를 보전하고 발전시키는 데도 큰 기여를 했다.
본고는 건국 후 중국 조선문 잡지의 발간역사를 단계적으로 고찰하고 또 중국이 시장화제도를 도입 후 중국잡지의 생태환경 변화로 인한 중국 조선문 잡지의 문제점을 살피고 그 대안에 대해 논술하였다. 특히 조선문 잡지가 잡지를 하나의 문화산업으로 간주하는 중국 잡지의 생태완경 변화에서 적응할 수 없는 것은 시장 원리에 따르는 정부지원의 감소, 조선족 집거지의 상대적으로 낙후한 경제생활환경과 지역적 제한, 대량적인 인구이동으로 인한 독자층의 분산과 소실 등 외부적인 문제와 그리고 제한된 시장에 비해 잡지의 양적인 증가로 인한 출혈경쟁과 편집자의 상대적 노화와 경영인재 부족 등 잡지자체의 내부적인 문제를 지적하였다.
또 조선문 잡지의 진로에 대해 시장화 경영이라는 이념바탕위에 사회적 효과라는 개념을 확실히 심어서 정부의 지원을 보장받고 적당한 조절을 통한 규모화 경영, 특히 잡지의 양적인 결합보다 구조적 조절과 자원의 재정비를 통한 규모화 경영, 다양한 독자시장에 대한 개발과 배양에 대한 관념전환, 현재 문화저수지의 위상을 갖고 있는 한국과의 다양한 문화교류를 지적하였다.
결론적으로 조선족 신문잡지 출판의 전망은 민족 문화의 전망과 직결되어 있으며, 민족 문화의 전망은 조선족 사회의 전망과 직결되어 있다. 때문에 조선문 신문잡지의 순조로운 발전은 출판학계에서나 언론인들의 관심사가 아니라 전반 조선족 동포 사회의 관심사이기도 하다.

영어초록

How the Korean Chinese ethnic group could keep and maintain its ethnic characteristics and the identity up to the present time has depended on the active cultural exchange it had with its mother land and the important role that mass communication such as the literary magazine industry has played. Besides the Chinese government’s general policies toward ethnic groups and the education system of Korean Chinese ethnic group in particular, the publishing activities of newspapers and literary magazines of the Korean Chinese ethnic group played an important role in enhancing the ethnic spirit and its consciousness. They became a cornerstone to keep the ethnic language and the word characters and also to propagate the advanced culture to the group.

This paper is to study the publication history of the Korean Chinese literary magazines and to investigate the problems occurred by the change of publication environment of Chinese literary magazine industry in general since the Chinese government has introduced the market economy to the country. Possible answers to these problems are also discussed. This paper points out the problems, both internal and external, of the literary magazine industry: severe competition due to the increased number of magazines, aging of the editors, lack of management skills along with the shrunk market from the loss of readers due to the migration of population to other countries, readers in limited areas, poor economic environment of the Korean Chinese ethnic group, and the lack of government support.
For the future progress of Korean Chinese literary magazines, social effectiveness based on the principle of market management is stressed and, with the redistribution of resources along with the effective management and control, it is suggested that new genre of readers and the change of concept of literary magazines be developed. In conclusion, the prospect of the Korean Chinese literary magazine industry is closely related to its ethnic culture while the ethnic culture is closely related to the prospect of Korean Chinese ethnic society. Therefore, the future advancement of the literary magazine industry should be the interest of Korean Chinese ethnic group as a whole, and should not be limited to the interest of this particular industry only.
