국내 IBEC 대학의 교육과정 비교 분석과 시사점 탐구: 교과목 편성과 운영을 중심으로 (Comparative Analysis and Its Implications of the Curriculum of IBEC University in Korea: Focusing on Curriculum Design and Operation)

초록

본 연구는 최근 국내⋅외적으로 증가하고 있는 IB 교육과 관련한 교사양성 교육 프로그램의 실정을 탐색해 본 것이다. IBEC 프로그램은 통하여 국내⋅외에서 교사전문성 양성을 위한 프로그램으로 최근 국내 교사양성 대학에 새로운 방향성과 영향력을 미치고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 현상의 실태를 IBEC 운영 대학의 교육과정 비교 연구를 통하여 실상을 탐색해보고, 교사양성에 주는 시사점은 무엇인 지를 탐구하였다. 이를 위하여 세 가지 연구문제를 설정하였고, 이 문제를 탐구하기 위하여 연구방법으로 다중 사례 비교 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 수행 과정에서 국내 4개 대학의 사례를 일정한 비교 기준에 따라 분석하였고, 그 결과에 기초하여 교사양 성에의 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구 결과 대학의 특성에 따라 교과목 편성과 운영, 이수 학점 수와 이수 시기, 평가 방법에서 대체로 유사한 점이 많이 발견되고 있으나 유의미한 차이점도 발견되었다. 이러한 비교 결과들은 국내 교사양성 대학의 교과목 편성과 운영에서 미래교육의 혁신적 차원에서 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대되나 운영 과정에서 교직이론 과목과 교과교육의 수업과 평가 상의 문화적 요인도 고려될 필요가 있는 것으로 드러났다.

영어초록

This study explores the current situation of teacher education programs related to IB education, which have been increasing in Korea and abroad in recent years. The IBEC program is a program for the professional development of teachers both in Korea and abroad through , and has recently brought a new direction and influence to teacher education colleges in Korea. Therefore, this study explores the this real phenomenon through a comparative study of the curriculum of IBEC universities and explores its implications for (pre and in-service) teacher education. To this end, three research questions were established, and a comparative analysis of multiple cases was conducted as a research method to explore this problem. In multiple case study, the cases of four universities in Korea were analyzed according to certain comparative criteria, and based on the results, implications for teacher education were derived. As a result of the study, it was found that there are many similarities in the construction and implementation of courses, the number and time of completion of credits, and the evaluation method according to the characteristics of the university, but significant differences were also found.The results of these comparisons are expected to have a positive impact on the construction and implementation of the curriculum of the domestic teachers colleges in terms of innovation in terms of future education, but it is also necessary to consider cultural factors in the theory and practical based subjects and the teaching and evaluation of the curriculum in the process of implementation.
