초록

태중교육은 교육의 원점이자 원형으로 아동의 교육받을 권리에 포함된다. 본 연구에서는 다문화가족 태아의 건강한 성장을 목적으로 다문화 임산부들의 정서적 안정감과 정체성 확립에 도움이 되는 모바일 앱 기반 태교 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램을 A-시 거주 다문화가족 임산부 20명에게 적용한 결과 본 태교 프로그램은 다문화가족 임산부의 문화적응성과 모성정체성 향상에 긍정적 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 문화적응성에서는 통합과 주변화, 모성정체성에서는 모-태아 상호작용의 향상 및 부정적 정서의 완화 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 모바일 앱이 갖는 우수한 접근성은 프로그램의 효과를 높이는데 중요한 역할을 한 것으로 평가된다.

영어초록

Prenatal care is an essential area of education and a right for children. In this study, a prenatal care program for pregnant women in multi-cultural families has been developed and applied in order to improve the maternal identity and cultural adaptability of the pregnant women in multi-cultural families. In the consideration of women’s linguistic level in Korean and ease of use, a prenatal program was structured by means of picture books and mobile applications. In particular, two interactive mobile applications based on Korean picture books were developed and included in the program. The subjects consisted of 20 multi-cultural pregnant women (12 Vietnamese-Korean women and 8 Chinese-Korean women who married Korean men) living in A-city. The prenatal care program was used with the experimental group of 10 multi-cultural pregnant women from among the subjects. The effectiveness of the program was investigated based on the difference between the measured maternal identity score and cultural adaptability score of two groups.
The results of this study were as follows: First, the proposed prenatal care program was helpful for improving maternal identity. In particular, we observed improvement of the interaction between a mother and her unborn child and relaxation of the negative emotions of pregnant women. Second, the proposed prenatal care program was helpful for improving cultural adaptability. Particularly, it enhanced the integration and reduced the separation of pregnant women. Third, the mobile applications included in the program provided useful informations about pregnancy and childbirth very easily because mobile is free from constraints of time and space. This implies that mobile applications structured into the program were useful media enhancing the effectiveness of the program.
From the above summary of experimental results, we can conclude that the proposed prenatal care program is effective in improving the maternal identity and cultural adaptability of pregnant women in multi-cultural families.
