초록

이 논문은 유아교육학과 학생들의 읽기, 말하기[토론하기], 쓰기 능력 향상을 위한 2010학년도 2학기 ‘논리와 논술(logic and logical essays)’ 수업의 내용과 이를 통한 예비유아교사의 논리적 사고와 논리적 글쓰기 능력을 위한 홀리스틱 접근으로서의 가능성 있는 수업을 소개하고 제안하는데 있다.
그동안 유아교육(학)과의 교육과정에서 읽기, 말하기[토론하기], 쓰기 능력 향상을 위한 교육과정이 소홀히되어 온 측면이 있다. 기존 교육과정에서 읽기, 말하기, 쓰기 능력 향상 관련 교육은 유아들을 대상으로 한 것이었다. 정작 유아교육학과 학생들의 이러한 능력 개발은 소홀히되어 온 셈이다. ‘논리와 논술 수업을 통해 재학생들의 읽기, 말[토론]하기, 쓰기에 대한 인식과 능력을 제고하고, 입학이 결정되고 오리엔테이션이 있기까지의 기간과 입학한 후 졸업까지의 위 3가지 능력 향상을 위한 학과의 지속적인 관심과 프로그램 제공이 요청된다.

This research is to introduce the content of integrated “Logic and Logical Essay Writing” class lessons that will help improve the reading, speaking, and writing skills of pre-school education students from the viewpoints of holistic education and to recommend the Youth Montessori School program that will enhance the progress of those three skills.
It goes without saying that the trademark of the educated man of this generation is the ability to communicate. This communicative ability is developed through reading, writing, and speaking exercises. The trend in Korean as well as in global university education is towards developing writing skills rather than speaking skills. This is because of the limitless opportunity for self expression created by cyberspace.
Until recently, the pre-school education curriculum has been taken for granted. Existing pre-school education curriculum is geared to provide training in reading, speaking, and writing to pre-school students, not to future pre-school teachers. The development of these skills for pre-school education students has been neglected.
Acknowledging this problem, the Pre-school Education Department of Sahmyook University has changed its curriculum during the 2nd semester, 2010. The department has added a new subject, “Logic and Logical Essays”, for 2nd year college students. The new class is a 3-unit subject. Because of this curriculum change, there was a significant improvement in the reading, speaking(discussion), and writing skills of 2nd year pre-school education majors. It is for this reason that this researcher would like to suggest/recommend the management plan for Youth Montessori School that will help improve the reading, speaking, and writing skills of 2nd year pre-school education majors.
Upon their admission to the pre-school education program, future pre-school teachers are encouraged/required to read pre-education related books until their admission is confirmed and their orientation accomplished to prepare them for attendance to the “Logic and Logical Essays” class. It is hoped that the new program will contribute to the shaping of good pre-school teachers whose ability to communicate will be passed on to their students.
