만 2세 영아의 개인적 특성과 어린이집 경험, 어머니의 양육태도가 영아의 놀이성에 미치는 영향 (The effects of infants' individual characteristics, experience of child care center, and maternal child-rearing attitude on infants' playfulness)

초록

본 연구에서는 만 2세 영아의 개인적 특성과 어린이집 경험, 어머니의 양육태도가 놀이성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 상호관련성을 통합적으로 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 경기도 소재 어린이집 28개소에 재원 중인 만 2세 영아 175명으로 담임교사가 영아의 놀이성을 평가하고, 어머니가 영아의 기질과 자신의 양육태도를 평가한 자료를 본 연구의 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 평균, 표준편차, 독립표본 t검증, 일원변량분석, Scheffé 사후검증, Pearson 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영아의 성별과 월령, 기질에 따라 영아의 놀이성에 차이가 드러났다. 둘째, 영아의 어린이집 재원기간과 이용시간은 영아의 놀이성과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 양육태도 중 긍정적 태도는 영아의 사회적 자발성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 위계적 회귀분석결과 영아의 월령, 기질 중 활동성, 긍정적인 부모의 양육태도가 놀이성에 영향력을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과로부터 영아의 놀이성 발달을 돕기 위해 부모와 교사가 지원 할 수 있는 방법을 모색해 보고, 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 도출하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of infants' individual characteristics, infants' experience of child care center, and maternal child-rearing attitudes ontwo-year-old infants' playfulness. The subjects were 175 two-year-old infants at 28 childcare centers in Kyeonggi Province. The teachers assessed infants' playfulness and themothers assessed infants' temperament and their own child-rearing attitude. The collecteddata were analyzed through descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson R, andhierarchical linear model, using SPSS 18.0 program. The major findings of this study wereas follows: First, depending on infants’ individual characteristics, including their gender,age, and temperament, there were significant differences in infants' playfulness. Second,infants' experience of child care center, such as the number of months they attend at childcare center and the number of hours infants spent at child care center, was highly relatedto infants' playfulness. Third, among the maternal parenting attitudes, positive attitudeswere highly related to infants' social spontaneousness, which means how they arespontaneously involved in social interaction. Finally, based on the results of hierarchicallinear model, infants' age, the number of months they attend at child care center, activity,which means how actively the infants do at child care center, and positive parenting attitudeis significantly associated with infants' playfulness. The results of this study suggest theimportance of the teachers' roles at child care center and mothers' ones at home. Thepresent study proposes effective methods to facilitate infants' playfulness and furtherdiscusses the implications for future research.
