초록

The aim of this study is to introduce the concept and key components of a Just Energy Transition (JET). Additionally, using multi-level perspective theory, this study exploratorily outlines the roles of governments and corporations in implementing JET to provide practical examples of how these concepts are applied in real-world situations. The shift in energy production has brought attention to how the effects of this shift should be distributed. Therefore, JET is a process that harmonizes the socio-economic and political needs of the vulnerable in responses to climate change and energy transition. The approach emphasizes tackling the causes of climate change while also ensuring that everyone enjoys access to safe and sustainable energy. The adoption of a comprehensive energy system strategy requires inclusiveness throughout its framework. This article intends to examine how to practically implement JET and determine how it can be delivered at the level of the national energy regime and niche level of the private company. In this way, JET aims to protect those in society who might otherwise be overlooked, ensuring that the shift towards sustainability does not inadvertently sideline those with less social and economic influence.
