통합학급의 장애학생을 위한 차별화 교수전략 탐색 (Search for Differentiated Instructional Strategies for Students with Disabilities in Inclusive Classes)

초록

본 연구는 통합학급의 장애학생들이 일반학생들과 같이 교수에 참여하여 성취를 최대화하도록 지원하는 차별화 교수의 전략을 탐색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 목적을 달성하기 위해 차별화 교수의 원리와 모형을 고찰한 다음, 그에 토대하여 통합학급에서 장애학생을 위해 차별화 교수를 시행할 때 활용할 수 있는 교수내용, 교수과정, 교수결과의 차별화 전략을 탐색하는 것을 연구문제로 선정하고, 문헌연구를 통해 문제를 해결하였다. 본 연구의 결과 통합학급은 장애학생들의 학년수준 일반교육 교육과정 내용표준에의 접근을 보장하기 위해 교수내용의 조정과 교수목적의 개정 전략 등을 통해 차별화 교수를 시행해야 하며, 장애학생들이 교수과정에서 직면하는 문제해결을 지원하기 위해 학생집단 구성의 융통성, 교수 진도와 발문의 조절, 인적․물적 자원의 제공 등과 같은 전략을 통해 교수과정을 차별화해야 하고, 장애학생들이 일반학생들과 동일한 수준을 성취하도록 지원하기 위해 발표양식의 변경, 숙달수준의 조정 등의 전략을 이용하여 교수결과를 차별화해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 통합학급의 장애학생을 위한 차별화 교수는 장애학생의 능력, 요구, 흥미, 학습양식에 적합하게 다양한 전략을 이용하여 교수내용, 교수과정 및 교수결과를 차별화해야 한다고 할 수 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to search for strategies of differentiated instruction that support students with disabilities in inclusive classes to engage in instruction and get maximum of achievement as much as they can with there peers without disabilities. To achieve the purpose of this study, first of all, it searches for the principal and the model of differentiated instruction. And then it choose research questions that search for differentiated strategies of instructional contents, instructional process, and instructional products usable when implement differentiated instruction for students with disabilities in inclusive classes, and solves these problems through literacy research.
As a result of this study, the inclusive classes should implement differentiated instruction through accommodation of contents of instruction and adaptation of objets of instruction and so on to guarantee the accessability of students with disabilities to contents standard of curriculum, should differentiate the instructional process through the strategies as flexibility of grouping, the adjustment of instructional pace and question strategies, the use of assistive technology and/or argumentative alternative communication system, and the offer of personal and material resources, and should differentiate the instructional products through the strategies like alternative presentation style, accommodating the level of mastery, and frequently assessment to support students with disabilities to get the same level of achievement as students without disabilities.
As a result of this study, differentiated instruction for students with disabilities in inclusive classes should be accomplished through strategies that differentiate instructional contents, instructional process, and instructional products as adequate for capabilities, needs, interests, and learning styles of students with disabilities.
