초록

본 연구는 스토리텔링 기반 앵커드 수업이 수학학습부진아의 문장제 문제해결능력과 자기조절능력 및 수학과 학습태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 스토리텔링 기반 앵커드 수업이 수학학습부진아의 문장제 문제해결능력과 자기조절능력 및 수학과 학습태도에 미치는 영향은 무엇인가란 연구문제를 선정하였다. 그리고 Ka광역시에 위치한 Y대안학교와 K광역시에 위치한 D대안학교에 재학하고 있는 중학교 1학년 수학 학습부진아 학생 30명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 Y대안학교에 실험집단 15명을 배치하고 D대안학교에 통제집단 15명을 배치하였다. 본 연구의 실험집단에는 방과 후 시간의 주 4회기씩 총 20회기에 걸쳐 본 연구자가 선행연구를 참조하여 구안한 스토리텔링 기반 앵커드 수업 프로그램을 시행하고, 통제집단에는 방과 후 시간의 주 4회기씩 총 20회기에 걸쳐 자율학습의 형태인 문답식 수업을 실시한 후 일차방정식 단원의 문장제 문제와 자기조절능력검사 및 수학과 학습태도검사를 통해 그 효과를 측정하고, 공변량 분석을 통해 효과 차이를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과 스토리텔링 기반 앵커드 수업을 실시한 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 문장제 문제해결능력과 자기조절능력 및 수학과 학습태도에 있어 효과가 더 크게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 향후 연구에서는 수학학습부진아들의 학습양식과 교육적 요구 및 특성을 고려한 다양한 앵커들을 개발해야 할 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of storytelling-based anchored instruction on sentence problem solving ability and self-regulation and mathematical learning attitude of underachieving students in mathematics. For the research, thirty underachieving students in mathematics were selected among those enrolled in an alternative school situated in a selected city in a certain province. Fifteen students were assigned in the experimental group and other fifteen students were assigned in the control group respectively. Storytelling-based anchored instruction took place with the experimental group four times weekly, which added up to be twenty times throughout the research. The results from the study are shown below.
First, the experimental group who undertook the storytelling-based anchored instruction on sentence problem solving ability outperformed in post-test compared with the pre-test. This means that storytelling-based anchored instruction has been effective in improving sentence problem solving ability for the experimental group.
Second, the experimental group who undertook the storytelling-based anchored instruction on self-regulation outperformed in post-test compared with the pre-test. This means that storytelling-based anchored instruction has been effective in improving self-regulation for the experimental group.
Third, the experimental group who undertook the storytelling-based anchored instruction on mathematical learning attitude outperformed in post-test compared with the pre-test. This means that storytelling-based anchored instruction has been effective in improving mathematical learning attitude for the experimental group.
In view of the above findings it appears to show that storytelling-based anchored instruction is a better teaching and learning method for acquisition of sentence problem solving ability and self-regulation and mathematical learning attitude of underachieving students in mathematics.
The researchers on the basis of the results of the underachieving student's learning style and educational needs and characteristics taken into account the various anchors should be developed.
