    The study aimed to identify the process change in ‘East Asian History’ curriculum for high school in ‘2015 revised curriculum’ by comparing to previous curricula, ‘2007 revised curriculum’ and 2009 revised curriculum. In the ‘2007 revised curriculum,’ ‘East Asian History’ was first implemented for high school in 2012, which continued throughout the ‘2009 revised curriculum’ that was applied from 2014 to ‘2015 revised curriculum’ that will be applied from 2018. As a result of comparing the two pre-existing curricula, Seemingly, ‘2015 revised curriculum’ achieved its goal of lightening the burden on class, but it is considered that learning elements of the previous two curricula were almost directly reflected and caused no big difference. Also, in the process of reducing external learning elements, imbalanced chapters were created or the history of Vietnam was reduced.
    The fact that the new ‘2015 revised curriculum’ has no big difference compared to existing curricula can be necessary for soft landing of the of curriculum of ‘East Asian History’. However, this also means that reorganizing existing history curriculum had little change except for specific periods. The advantages that approach by topic of ‘East Asian History’ showed different characteristics from other history subject in previous curricula and that it provided the cognition of learning history beyond nationalistic perception of history should be more magnified by making progressive new attempts. This will clarify the sequence in history education and make history education more meaningful. Therefore, they study investigated a few issues to be considered in ‘East Asian History’ in 2015 revised curriculum and in newly developed history curriculum in the future through several suggestions. It is expected that ‘East Asian History’ that has presented a new frame in the Korean history education serves as a useful tool for peace and coexistence in the East Asian region through continuous development while the existing frame is stably maintained.
