다문화 연구학교 교육과정 재구성 실태 분석 (The Content Analysis of Curriculum Reorganization in Multicultural Model Schools)

초록

본 연구는 다문화 연구학교의 교육과정 재구성 실태를 분석하고, 여기서 나타나는 특징과 문제를 찾아내어 교육과정 재구성과 관련된 과제를 제시하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 우선 다문화 교육의 현황과 교육과정 재구성의 필요성에 대해 논의하였다. 다음으로 교육과정 재구성을 위한 분석틀을 제시하였다. 연구방법으로는 문헌분석을 통해 이론적 근거를 찾아내고, 내용분석법을 적용해 다문화 연구학교의 교육과정 재구성 실태를 빈도처리 하였다. 그 결과 학교별, 교과별로 재구성의 비율에서 차이를 보이고 있으며, 주로 거시적 문화에 치중함으로써 미시적 내용에 대한 심화학습의 정도가 약하였다. 그리고 다양한 문화집단에서는 나라 집단에 치우쳐있어 불균형이 심하게 나타났고, 문화집단을 이루는 종류가 다양하지 못함으로 인해 그 내용이 편협하게 나타났다. 이들 결과를 토대로 논의를 행하면서, 과제를 제시하였다.

영어초록

This study aims to analyze the contents of multicutural education of multicultural-research schools, aimed at ordinary children, the change of whose preception is focused on for this study, focusing on multicultural viewpoints and multicultural groups.
To carry out this study, the contents of the curriculum reorganized by multicultural model schools were classified into two categories such as macro -culture and micro-culture and diversity of cultural groups. As for the unit of analysis for macro-culture and micro-culture of viewpoint were provided for the analysis framework while as for the unit of analysis for diversity of cultural groups, countries, homes, neighbors, figures and religious groups were provided for the analysis framework.
Macro-culture and micro-culture of viewpoints were used to analyze the topics included in the texts while diversity of cultural groups were used for the SPSS statistical analysis of frequency by using words or terms.
As a result, First, there were big differences of reconstruction, depending on schools and school subjects.
Second, the imbalance for the Caucasian race in the western countries shown in the preceding studies was relieved a lot, but it was still inclined toward the macro-culture of viewpoint while in terms of diversity of cultural groups, it was still inclined toward country groups, which shows a serious imbalance in terms of both multicultural viewpoints and diversity of cultural groups.
Third, since there is not a variety of kinds dealing with cultural groups inside and outside of the country, and their contents are biased in many cases.
As for further studies, a study on the concept of multicultural education, a study and training for teachers for the generalization of the concept and a study on the achievements at multicultural-research schools keeping Korean traits will be valuable tasks.
