유아의 정서지능 및 리더십이 놀이특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Young Children's Emotional Intelligence and Leadership on Play Characteristics)

본 연구에서는 유아의 놀이특성과 정서지능, 리더십 간의 관계를 분석하고, 유아의 정서지능과 리더십이 유아의 놀이특성에 어떠한 영향력을 미치는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 만 5세 유아 총 255명으로 평균 월령은 69.34(SD=3.44)개월이었으며, 2019년 5월 13일부터 6월 7일까지 4주간에 걸쳐 연구자료를 수집하였다. ‘놀이특성’, ‘정서지능’, ‘리더십’ 검사도구를 통해 연구자료를 수집하고, 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관관계와 단계적 중다회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 놀이특성과 정서지능, 리더십 간에는 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 리더십은 놀이특성에 가장 강력하게 영향을 미치는 예측변인으로 나타났으며, 다음으로 정서지능이 유아의 놀이특성에 영향을 미치는 추가적 예측변인으로 밝혀졌다. 하위요인을 분석한 결과, 유아의 리더십의 하위요인인 민감성이 놀이특성을 가장 강력하게 설명하는 예측변인으로 나타났으며, 다음으로 정서지능의 하위요인인 자기인식 표현능력, 리더십의 하위요인인 주도성, 자발적 몰입이 놀이특성을 설명하는 추가적 예측변인으로 밝혀졌다. 유아 놀이특성의 하위영역별로 분석한 결과, 인지놀이는 정서지능의 하위요인인 자기인식 표현능력이, 언어놀이는 리더십의 하위요인인 주도성이, 사회놀이는 리더십의 하위요인인 민감성이, 정서놀이는 리더십의 하위요인인 민감성이, 운동놀이는 리더십의 하위요인인 주도성이 가장 강력하게 영향을 미치는 예측변인으로 나타났다.

영어초록

The objective of this study was to examine the relationship among young children's play characteristics, emotional intelligence and leadership, and then find out the effect of young children's emotional intelligence and leadership on their play characteristics. Study subjects were 255 5-year-old children and their average age was 69.34 months (SD=3.44). Data were collected using the test tools of ‘play characteristics,’ ‘emotional intelligence’ and ‘leadership,’ and then collected data were examined through Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Study findings are as follows: There were positive correlations among young children's play characteristics, emotional intelligence and leadership. Young children’s leadership was a predictor variable which has a most powerful effect on play characteristics, and emotional intelligence is an additional predictor variable which also has effect on young children’s play characteristics. Regarding sub-variables, sensitivity, namely a sub-variable of young children’s leadership, was a predictor variable which could explain their play characteristics most powerfully, and self-awareness expressive ability, namely a sub-variable of emotional intelligence, and initiative and voluntary commitment, namely two sub-variables of leadership, were additional predictor variables which explained play characteristics. Regarding the sub-areas of young children’s play characteristics, self-awareness expressive ability, namely a sub-variable of emotional intelligence, was a predictor variable which has most powerful effect on cognitive play; initiative, namely a sub-variable of leadership was a predictor variable which has most powerful effect on language play; sensitivity, namely a sub-variable of leadership was a predictor variable which has most powerful effect on social play; initiative, namely a sub-variable of leadership was a predictor variable which has most powerful effect on emotional play; and initiative, namely a sub-variable of leadership was a predictor variable which has most powerful effect on sport play.
