중·고등학생들의 진로정체감, 진로결정수준이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Career Identity, Career Decision Level and Career Maturity for middleㆍhigh school students)

초록

본 연구는 중·고등학생들의 진로정체감, 진로결정수준이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 연구의 필요성과 목적이 있다. 연구문제는 진로정체감과 진로성숙도 및 진로결정수준에서 차이, 관계 및 영향을 알아보았다. 연구대상자는 C지역 소재 627명(중학생 332명, 고등학생 295명)이었다. 연구도구는 진로 정체감, 진로 결정 수준 및 진로 결정 검사를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 변량분석, 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로정체감에서 고등학생들은 남학생들이 여학생들 보다 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 진로성숙도에서 중학생들은 여학생들이 남학생들 보다 더 높은 진로성숙도를 지녔다. 셋째, 진로결정수준에서 고등학생은 남학생들이 여학생들 보다 더 높은 진로결정 수준을 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 진로정체감과 진로성숙도 및 진로결정수준 사이의 상관분석 결과, 남녀 중·고등학생들 모두에서 진로정체감은 진로성숙도 및 진로결정수준과 유의한 정적상관을 보였다. 연구 결과 남녀 중·고등학생 모두에서 진로정체감과 진로성숙도가 진로결정 수준에 유의한 정적상관을 나타내고 있으며, 중학교 여학생과 고등학생들은 진로성숙도가, 중학교 남학생들은 진로정체감이 진로결정수준에 더 큰 영향을 미치게 됨을 확인하게 되었다. 연구의 시사점은 효율적인 진로지도를 위하여 남녀·학교급별로 특성을 반영하는 진로교육 프로그램의 운영이 요구되며, 고등학교에서 뿐만 아니라 중학교에서도 진로정체감과 진로성숙도 제고를 위한 구체적인 진로지도의 필요성을 확인하게 되었고, 구체적이고 실질적인 진로지도 프로그램의 개발이 필요함을 제언하고자 한다.

영어초록

This study examined the career identity and career decision level of students in middleㆍhigh school in Korea and how this affected their career maturity. The main focuses of this study are as follows: First, the study was designed to find out which differences, relations and effects would appear in their career identity, career maturity and career decision level from some different conditions such as their genders and school years. For this study, 627(332 middle school students, 295 high school students) were randomly sampled, and were given self-administered questionnaires to be completed. The three kinds of studying tools that were used in the study include the following: career identity scale, career decision scale and career maturity test. correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to process the data of this study. The results were as follows: First, any meaningful differences on the sense of career identity scale were found ut male students in high school got higher career identity than female students in the test. second, female students in the middle school got higher scores than their male counterparts in the test. Third, in comparing the difference of the career decision status check, In the results of high school, however, the boys showed higher career decision level than the girls. Fourth, the correlation analysis method was used to find out what relations existed among the test of the career identity, the career maturity and the career decision level. In the results of this study, we could confirm that the career identity and the career maturity in all groups had a meaningful static relationship to their career decision level and that both the career maturity in middle school girls and the high school students and the career identity in middle school boys had greater effects on their career decision level. We should establish the milepost that should have a great detailed and practicalcourse education program to increase the career identity and the career maturity for all the students in the country and improve their career decision level.
