유아의 음악적 흥미와 행복감의 관계에서 자기 표현력의 매개효과 (Mediating Effect of Self-Expression in Relationship Between Young Children's Musical Interest and Happiness)

초록

본 연구는 유아의 음악적 흥미와 행복감 및 자기 표현력의 관계를 알아보고 유아의 음악적 흥미와 행복감의 관계에서 자기 표현력의 매개효과를 규명하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 경상남도 창원시에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집의 만4~5세 유아 406명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0, Amos 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식모형을 활용하여 검증하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아의음악적 흥미와 행복감, 자기 표현력의 관계에 비교적 높은 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 음악적 흥미와 행복감의 관계에서 자기 표현력 매개효과를 알아본 결과 유아의 음악적 흥미와 행복감, 자기 표현력 간에는 모두 유의한 정적관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 음악적 흥미와 자기 표현력, 자기 표현력과 행복감으로 가는 경로가 모두 유의하였으며, 유아의 음악적 흥미는 행복감에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 자기 표현력은 유아의 음악적 흥미와 행복감의 관계에서 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본연구는 유아의 음악적 흥미가 자기 표현력에 영향을 미쳐 궁극적으로 유아의 행복감 증진에 도움이 된다는 것을 밝혔다는데 의의가 있다.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between musical interest, happiness, and self-expression and to identify mediating effects of self-expression in the relationship between young children's musical interest and happiness. The questions posed for the purpose of the study are as follows. To that end, we collected data from 406 children aged 4 to 5 years public and private kindergartens, public daycare centers, workplace daycare centers, and private daycare centers located in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and Amos 18.0 program, and The research hypotheses established in this study were verified using CFA(Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and SEM(Structural Equation Modeling), The results of this study obtained through the above process are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the correlation between the musical interest, happiness and self-expression of the young children, there was a relatively high positive correlation between the musical interest, happiness and self-expression of the young children. Second, as a result of examining the mediating effect of self-expression in the relationship between musical interest and happiness of young children, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between musical interest, happiness and self-expression of young children. In addition, all the paths to musical interest, self-expression, and happiness are significant, and musical interest of young children is shown to have a direct influence on happiness. Therefore, self-expression partially mediated the relationship between young children's musical interest and happiness. It signifies that young children's musical interest has not only a direct effect on happiness, but also through the medium of self-expression. This study has its significance in that it revealed that the musical interest of young children influences the self-expression and ultimately helps to improve the happiness of young children.
