조손 세대 간 소통 강화를 위한 조부모 독서교육 모형 개발 (The Development of a Reading Education Model for Grandparents for Grandparent-Grandchild Intergenerational Communication Reinforcement)

초록

고령화와 저출산 현상에 따라 세대 간의 갈등은 과거와는 또 다른 형태로 높아지게 되었다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 세대 간 갈등 해소와 조손 세대 간의 소통을 강화시키기 위한 목적과 조부모 세대에게 일거리를 제공해주기 위한 평생교육의 일환으로 조부모 독서교육(REGG) 모형을 개발하고 타당화 하였다. 조손 세대 간 소통 강화를 위한 조부모 독서교육은 조부모세대가 손자녀 세대에게 독서교육을 할 수 있을 정도의 능력을 함양하는데 목적이 있다. 조부모 독서교육 모형을 개발하기 위하여 인터뷰 조사와 델파이 조사를 하여 밝힌 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사전조사 결과에서 조부모세대는 독서교육에 참여하여 손자녀 세대와 소통하는 것이 자아존중감을 높이고 행복한 노후라는 느낌을 갖게 한다고 응답하여 조부모 REGG 모형이 개발되어야 함이 확인되었다. 둘째, 델파이 조사를 통해 확인된 REGG 모형의 구성 및 단계별 특징으로, REGG의 교육목표는 조손교육의 이해, 아동 독서교육의 이해, 독서 자료의 이해이며, 교육내용은 33개, 교육시간은 78시간이 적절하다고 보았다. 교육방법으로는 강의, 실습, 발표, 조별 활동, 교육평가로는 출석 여부, 참여 태도, 발표 내용, 교육기관으로는 공공도서관과 국가/지방자치단체 산하 교육기관이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이러한 기본과정 이수 이후에도 지속적으로 심화과정이 필요하며 교육시간은 기본적으로 10시간, 교육내용은 16개의 교육내용이 적절하다고 보았다. REGG 모형은 고령화와 저출산 시대에 조손 세대 간의 소통 강화를 위해 적절한 모형으로 실제 현장에서 실행되어 활성화될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

영어초록

Conflicts between different generations have grown in a different form due to aging and low birth rate. In relation this phenomenon, the paper will introduce the REGG Model which has been developed and validated as a part of lifelong education for the purpose of relieving intergenerational conflict and communication between grandchild generations and providing work for grandparents' generation. Reading education for grandparents to strengthen the communication between grandchildren aims to develop grandparents’ ability to provide reading education to their grandchildren. The results of interview and Delphi survey which were used to develop the reading education model for grandparents are as follows; First, in the results of the preliminary survey, it was confirmed that the grandparents'generation should participate in the reading education and communicate with grandchildren's generation to enhance self-esteem and feel happiness in their old ages. Second, in accordance to the main features and characteristics of the REGG model which has been verified through the Delphi survey, the purpose of the REGG education is to understand the grandparents and grandchildren education and the its reading materials. It has been also stated that 33 education contents and 78 hours of education time seems to be appropriate. In regard to the education method, lectures, practices, presentation, group activities were evaluated to be appropriate, while public libraries, education centers under the national/local governments. Moreover, the result also indicated that an intensive course after completing the education is needed and that 10 hours of education and 16 courses of education contents are appropriate. It is very timely to allow grandparents to give reading education to their grandchildren in grandparent-grandchild education by reinforcing communication between the grandparent and grandchild generations in this era of population aging and a low birth rate and it must be activated and invigorated in the actual field.
