However, many specialists found that people could get many benefits from marijuana if people use marijuana for medicinal purposes. Even though marijuana has a lot of natural benefits most states in America do not allow using marijuana for medical purposes (“Executive”). However, number of states that allow medical marijuana has been increasing; these days, there are thirteen states including Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington which allow medical marijuana (“Medical Marijuana”). Yet most states in America do not allow medical marijuana because there are no studies that strongly prove effect of medical marijuana (Cohen and Clark 3). Medical marijuana should be legalized because it is less addictive then other substances, and side effects of medical marijuana are acceptable.Many peoplis a word that can not be defined clearly (“Is marijuana”). Addiction has five different properties: reinforcement, tolerance, withdrawal, dependence, and intoxication (Is marihuana”). Dr. Jack Heningfiel and Neal L. Therefore, marijuana is less addictive than alcohol and nicotine. In addition, fects if people take marijuana for medical purposes, but those side effects are acceptable.(Koch 709) There are some studies that show smoking marijuana may cause cancer, lung damage, and poor pregnancy outcomes, but those side effects occur only when people smoke marijuana long term ( The epidemiological study done by the prestigious Johns Hopkins University of Medicine concluded that the long term use of marijuana does not damage intelligence or memory (Koch 709). This epidemiological study is known as longest and largest ever (709). However, IOM reports that all approved medications have some side effects, thus, if side effects of marijuana are compared with side effect of other medications, side effects of marijuana are within the acceptable risks associated with other medications (Koch 711). In addition, there are some patients whose pain cannot be relieved by any other approved medications but marijuana; therefore if the government does not legalize using marijuana as medical puradolescents, but there are several surveys that show their claims are wrong. According to official California survey, when the medical marijuana law was passed, teen marijuana use in California began falling (“Has Legalizing”).Before medical marijuana law was passed, California had faced problem of increasing teen marijuana. Another survey done by Marijuana Policy Project in 1998 indicates that to legalize medical marijuana does not increase non-medical marijuana use (“Has Legalizing”). According to IOM report, there is no scientific evidence to prove that medical legalization would lead to an increase use of non-medical marijuana (Koch 709).In conclusion, medical marijuana should be legalized because it is less addictive than any other common substances. Actually, there are some side effects if people use marijuana for medical purposes, but those side effects can be reduced if patients taking medical marijuana follow their doctors’ instructions. They has invested the last several years in the transformation of the organization and it culture. Phil Laskawy, CEO of E&Y, realized that many E&Y’s employees are unhappy working in the firm because of life balance problem. He decided to create Office for Retention (OFR) to improve work environment for women. However, creating OFR is very innovative idea, but it has some weakness points.First of all, Phil Laskawy is very progressive leader that he realized the problems that his firm faced. From the result of annual survey for employee’s satisfaction, he felt that firm should not be operated like this any more. He knew that there was something wrong with company’s culture. Therefore, he tried to change its problem. The strength of the OFR plan was to have people who are willing to change firm culture. Since CEO is the highest position in the company, the CEO’s attitude toward the issue often determines importance level of the issue. Laskawy showed his interest addressing the issue. Therefore, this makes other managers and leaders to focus on the issue. He also placed the OFR just down hall from his office at E&Y’s headquarters in New York City to get direct report from its director. CEAccording to the case, the main purpose of OFR was reducing women employees’ turnover rate and adjust work/life balance for both men and women. However, OFR seemed more focus on women employees than men. To solve problems associated with women employees, the director of OFR should be a person who can understand them well. Laskawy choose Deborah Holmes as a director of OFR. Thus, it was very good choices for OFR. Holmes was smart enough to figure out what is wrong with the culture of the company to women. Holmes as women employees of this firm, she can understand women employees’ situation better than man. Therefore, one of the strength of this process was to select right person in right position.The main purpose of this whole process is to provide better service to clients. Thus, the firm should care not only its employees but also clients. In consulting services life balance prototype, engagement managers were required to tell their clients what E&Y up to and why, so clients doesn’t get confused about new policy. Consequently, clients were very interested in new policy because new policy, actually, help retain and attract quality consultants. One of the reasons that OFR is successes was engagement managers communicated with the firm’s clients effectively.However, there are weaknesses about OFR. The result of survey conducted by OFR indicated that many employees were finding it difficult to balance the demands of work and home life, and survey also highlighted that many women leaves the firm because of career opportunities and the absence of senior role model. Nevertheless, OFR did not offer detail plan to solve the absence of senior role model. According to the case, OFR succeed adjusting work and life balance. Employees were satisfied with OFR. However, if OFR want to reduce turnover rate of women employees, they would address issue of senior role model more seriously.

In this document, she describes herself as a witness of the female factory workers’ life because she was a one of the female factory workers in textile Mills of Lowell. However, she recorded her life and other female workers’ lives in this document. She wrote this document because she wanted readers to know that market revolution brought many positive changes to American economy system, but there were also many victims of market revolution. Therefore, the author of this document basically says that without the sacrifices of many low-class workers, market revolution would not have succeeded.Market revolution changed people’s lifestyle in nineteenth century America. Before the market revolution, the lifestyle of American people was a form of self-sufficiency. This means that they produced only goods and foods that they needed for living. However, after market revolution, the lifestyle of American people has changed from self-sufficiency to semi-sufficiency due to the specialization of many jobs. Thus, men in families no longer stay and work on their farm. There were many choices for men choosing a job. Market revolution impacted not only lifestyles of men but also impacted women’s lifestyles. At that time, a paragon of the lifestyle of middle class women was to stay at home raising a child. However, low-class women had to work for their living. For example, the author said in this document that even though most girls in the factory faced unfair working conditions, they were willing to keep their jobs because the factory offered them high wages. According to the author, in the nineteenth century, women had no right to have property. Therefore, women who were not married or widowed had to work.The author mentioned that the most prevailing incentive to female workers was to secure the means of education for some male member of the family. Since women had no property rights, women in the families had to sacrifice for men in their families. However, the feminist movement started in America in the nineteenth century. This movement changed perceptions of female workers in American society. The author mentioned the strike against unfairness toward female workers in the factory. Even though the strike was not successful, this showed that women also had power to change the world.The author tried to say that market revolution affected nineteenth century American woman’s lifestyle. Women’s rights were changed by market revolution. Before market revolution, women were not recognized as a work force but after the market revolution, women started to be recognized for labor. Thus, this document gives readers a big picture of how women’s rights in America developed through the market revolution.

Also, the thesis will list on the new infrastructure in Beijing and their effect on people in Beijing. Chapter II will discuss on the sponsors of Beijing Olympic Games. It will identify the sponsors and their marketing strategies for Beijing Olympic Games. It will also give examples of non-sponsor companies and their ambush marketing strategies for Olympic Games. After analyzing marketing strategies of both, sponsor and non-sponsor, this thesis concludes with marketing strategies to the companies looking for expanding their market share at the London Olympic Games in 2012.
