성장과정학창시절, ‘12년 개근’이 대변하듯 성실한 학생이었습니다. 중고학창시절 학급리더로서 고등학교 1,2학년 때 반 장기자랑을 모두 총괄(각각 1등과 2등)한 데서 봉사상을 2회 받는 등 학우들에게나 선생님들께 받은 작은 선물은 인정과 호감이었다고 생각합니다. 군대시절, 2002년 월드컵 경비, 대구 유니버시아드 북한 미녀응원단 경호 하다가 김정일 사진에 뭐가 묻었다며 갑자기 미녀들이 단체로 울며 뛰어나와 현수막 등을 거둬갈 때 아연실색했던 경찰 간부들과 소대원들의 기억, APEC정상회담 경비, 전쟁터를 방불케 했던 부안사태에서 소대가 격리돼서 죽을 뻔한 기억, 정읍 농민들이 던지는 맞아봐야 알 수 있다는 부화 되다만 달걀세례와 씨나락을 온몸으로 받아내던 기억, 그리고 ‘미선이 효선이 장갑차 사건’ 이후 촉발된 반미촛불시위는 제게 인내의 한계와 사람들의 중요성을 발견한 계기였습니다. 아직까지 잊을 수 없는 것은 비오는 날의 격렬한 시위에선 항상 전우들의 땀냄새, 우의 그리고 달걀 냄새가 모두 섞여서 나는 그 복잡 미묘 형언하기 힘든 냄새를 맡을 수 있는데 전 스무살 청춘의 향기로 그것을 기록하기로 했습니다. 대학교 전반부 특히 1학년 때, 건축동아리 ‘토담’에서 활동, 각종 아르바이트, 연애사업 등에 전념하는 등 몰입의 진수를 경험했습니다. 대학 후반부에서 지금까지 나쁘지 않은 성적(3.59)으로 졸업한 것 그리고 전공 관련, 영어 컴퓨터, 한자, 등에서 총 6개의 자격증, 그리고 어학연수 10개월 속 많은 외국인들과 이국에서 접한 한국 사람들과의 추억은 스물 아홉의 명예로운 훈장들입니다.취미특기종교활동2007년 여름, 사단법인 한국어문회에서 주관하고 한국한자능력검정회가 시행한 제 35회 한자능력시험에서 난정장학생으로 선정되어 본관에서 장학증서와 120만원의 상금을 탔습니다. 그리고 최후의 학기에서 건축과 전체 성적에서 비공식 1등(과사에서 말해줌)을 차지했습니다. 이렇게 동기부여된 목표에서 항상 큰 성과를 냈습니다. 또 하나의 특기라고 할 수 있는 기획능력은 고등학교 당시 저는 장안의 화재였던 ‘허리케인블루’를 각색을 했는데 기존의 방식을 엎어 음악과는 어울리지 않는 정제된 동작으로 엇박자의 웃음을 만드는 것이 크게 적중하여 결국 전체 1등을 차지했습니다. 2학년 때는 이런 저의 경험을 높이 사신 선생님께서 학급장기자랑 맡기셨고 저는 축구 한일전을 음악과 춤 그리고 재미있는 멘트 등으로 구성하여 결과는 2등을 했습니다. 또 바둑을 즐겨 두는데 저의 취미이자 특기입니다. 인터넷 1급 정도의 기량으로 10년 이상 두어왔습니다. '상대(적)에 대한 존중'과 상황에 따라 유연하게 대처하는 점이 제 바둑의 특징이고 장점입니다. 그리고 특정 종교에 치우치지 않고 그리스도의 사랑과 석가모니의 자비 모두 제가 추구하고 있는 종교적 신앙인으로의 모습입니다.성격제 장점은 성품입니다. 핵심은 ‘성실한 냉정과 끈기의 열정’입니다. 고질적인 성실함은 학창시절(12년 개근)에 완성됐다고 생각합니다. 또 무슨 일을 하던지 그 것의 효율성을 따지고 완벽하다고 여겨질 때까지 계획, 행동, 수정을 반복합니다. 그 과정에서 모든 것을 협상의 연장선으로 해석하는 평소의 소신으로 최소한의 노력으로 최대한의 성과를 내는 것에 삶의 진정한 의의를 둡니다. 이런 측면에서 냉정합니다. ‘침착하자’ 화나는 일에도 크게 동요하지 않는다는 주위 사람들의 평을 실으며 다른 한 편으로는 수행작업이 공동의 것인 경우, 나로 인해 내가 속한 집단이 우수한 성적을 거두는 것에 진정한 쾌락을 느끼고 내 능력을 더 잘 보여주고 인정받은 것 같은 느낌이 들기 때문에 더욱 적극적입니다. 조깅으로 다져진 강력한 체력과 냉탕은 걸러도 사우나는 거르지 않는 타고난 인내심과 끈기는 공포의 대상인 야근에서도 살아남을 수 있는 종자라는 근거입니다. 세계최초 번지점프SITE인 뉴질랜드 Kawarau에서 힘차게 비상했던 겁 없는 뜨거운 열정과 때와 장소에 따라 그에 걸맞게 대응하는 차가운 냉정함, 저는 이 둘을 겸비한 차가운 도전자 저는 김완기입니다.반면에 일을 진행하는 과정에서 하는 일에 전력을 다하는 편이라 상대적으로 주변의 소리에 소홀할 수 있다는 점, 이것이 자칫 회식자리를 기피하는 등의 배타주의로 이어질 수 있다는 점을 경계합니다. 그러나 이 부분은 많은 사람들의 이야기를 경청하고 존중하는 자세로 극복할 수 있습니다. 허브코헨의 에서 말했듯이 모든 것은 투자와 그리고 그로 인해 내가 얻을 수 있는 잠재적 성과물이라고 생각합니다. 최근 가급적 자제했던 사람들과의 사귐의 기회를 많이 얻을 수 있도록 노력하는 편이며 더욱 많이 주는 사람이 결국 나중에는 더 큰 열매를 얻을 수 있다는 생각으로 많은 사람들에게 배려하는 편입니다.입사후포부입사 후 포부, 그 것의 키워드는 ‘도전’과 ‘성공적인 적응’입니다. 신입사원으로서 현장이든 혹은 본사이든 새로운 환경에서 주어진 업무에 제가 가지고 있는 넘치는 에너지와 열정을 쏟아 부을 준비가 되어있습니다. 인생은 영원한 도전이라고 생각합니다. 저는 인생 최대의 도전을 여기 이건에서 할 준비가 되어있습니다. 이론과 실제는 다르듯 학사과정에서 배웠던 이론적인 건축적 배경지식이 적지 않은 도움이 될 것이라는 믿음은 있지만 현장에서 혹은 본사에서 배우는 실무적 혹은 실질적 지식과 기술 등을 배우는 것이 쉽지만은 않을 것입니다. 입사 후 1년의 목표에서 무엇보다 중요한 것은 제게 할당된 업무와 회사 환경에 무리 없이 적응하고 직원들과 원만한 생활을 잘할 수 있는 단계로 조금씩 성장해 나가는 것입니다.‘입사 후 10년’ 그 것의 키워드는 ‘위기는 곧 기회’입니다. 변화를 두려워하지 않습니다. 오히려 즐깁니다. 이 책은 삶이라는 거대한 장벽에 직면한 소시민적 인간에 대한 경고장이라고 생각합니다. 10년 후, 바로 인생에서 가장 큰 변화의 바람이 부는 40대, 나이 마흔입니다. 社가 허락한다면, 회사와 함께할 수 있는 기회가 주어진다면 가정과 직장 안팎으로 안정적으로 삶을 도모하는 데에 1차적인 목표가 있습니다. 토건사업부 건축팀장 등을 지낸 다음 더욱 승진가도를 달려서 본부장 그 이상을 해보고 싶습니다.
