Do you disagree with usingmedication for some reasons?Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is a neurobehavioral developmental disorder of hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. Whether it is inherited by a genetic problem or postnatal, however, it is hard to say that the medication is always the best option for a child with ADHD. I believe the optimal option for ADHD is the care of combination between the medication and the behavioral treatment. And that is to say, the medication can be a complementary treatment for a better result.The most commonly used ADHD drug is Psychostimulants (also known as Stimulants). There are lots of researches which support and back up the use of stimulants saying that it enhance alertness, awareness, wakefulness, endurance, productivity, and motivation. It works as an activator of the speed between the brain and the body. In addition to the stimulants, there is a non-stimulants which also work as well as stimulants, but may be less likely to be misused.However, There are concerns about the ADHD medication may accompany with some side effects. It can cause headaches, racing heartbeat, tics, feeling restless, mood swings, depression, and so on. Moreover, some people who are hesitate to take medication treatment worry about its addiction and reliability (pointing out that it has not been studied for a long-term effect). However, there is one thing that I want to make sure is that there are always side effects for any medications no matter whether it is for a serious prescription or not. A pill for the common cold also can cause side effects. In this case, we should focus on the use of medication, not the medication itself.The medication for ADHD is not a “magic pill” that will cure all problems completely. It is important to see the problem as a whole process. The lifestyle changes including regular exercise, healthy diet, sufficient sleep, and positive attitude are crucial to solve the problem as well as a medication treatment. Also, the ADHD medication work better for some than for others. Some people can experience dramatic improvement while others have modest gains. The responses for a drug would be different depending on a client’s condition. It is important to keep in mind that the medication should be personalized and closely monitored. The drugs are may not be recommended for those with any type of heart defect or diseases, high blood pressure, a history of drug abuse, and other related concerns. The guidance of a doctor and an expert is very important. The first step for taking medication should be examination of the physical and metal status of a client, and adopted in a carefully personalized way. And to the next step, it should be closely monitored.The other recommended step is to make a child participate in a decision-making process that will help to understand the situation and give a responsibility for taking the medication. I think the problem of medication dependency is not only the addiction, but also about the parents’ dependency. The parents may depend on the medication hoping for a “magic pill”. It can cause more serious problems such as drug abuse and reckless use. Besides, the concern of long-term effects of the medication is a rash judgement. It is hasty to conclude the symtoms that should be treated for a long time with the medication. It may cause another type of dependency problem. The medication should be started with a low dose and monitored its effects. And it is also can be stopped if a client wants to. Above all, it is important to think that the medication is not the only treatment option. The careful observation and the consideration of treatment options should be on the top of the care list.

In almost every wardrobe, however, we find everyday items such as T-shirts, socks and jeans of the so called ‘Basics’ which are not normally considered the most exciting part of the business. A successful Japanese firm Uniqlo (a contraction of Unique Clothing), in this manner, has conquered this overlooked clothing field in its home base Japan and now expanded its big ambitions to the world.Uniqlo’s parent company, Fast Retailing, is Japan’s biggest clothing company. Despite the recession in 2009, Fast Retaboth low-cost strategy and differentiation strategy. They try to drive the organization’s total costs down below the total costs of rivals and distinguish the organization’s products from those of competitors on one or more important dimensions at the same time. However, it is obviously impossible to achieve both strategies simultaneously. Attempting to simultaneously pursue both a low cost strategy and a differentiation strategy could cause the company stuck in the middle, because it is difficult to achieve low cost with the added costs of differentiation. Therefore, a company usually focuses on one specific strategy. In this case, Uniqlo serves low-cost strategy and it leads a firm to its low price clothing line. However, I think Uniqlo does not give up the product quality. It pursues basic clothing line with a low price, but its clothing quality is high and it continuously develops its quality. Recently, they have introduced new product line called HEATECH, and it provides highly fuucts of exceptional quality. This impact of increase quality would give a positive effect to customers and it will increase firm’s reliability and productivity. And consequently it will lead to higher profits.Fast Retailing has a distinctive business model. Fast Retailing doesn’t chase after ‘fast-fashion’ trends. It sells fewer items than its rivals, and keeps them on the shelves longer. This strategy lowers price and keep higher-volume deals with suppliers. Also, it makes managing inventory a much simpler and cheaper task. Uniqlo narrows down its offering by selling the same item in many colors. I think this basic strategy appeals to a wider audience than other specific customer-targeted brands. While other companies show complicated and sophisticated clothing line, Uniqlo concentrates on a simpler and cheaper task. I believe this simple but impressing functional strategy helps Fast Retailing establish its brand image effectively. They relatively do not get a pressure of sensitive faines. It will have to manage a multicultural, multilingual workforce. So the scale they deal with will be harder to achieve. I think they may have to focus on the multi-domestic strategy to customize products and marketing strategies to specific national conditions. With more specific operating system, they will gain local market share efficiently.Other than the company itself, Mr. Yanai himself may also face the challenges. He is a brilliant strategist but is unable to delegate. He controls all decisions and interfere each and every small details. This micro-managing has pushed talented executives to quit the firm, leaving no obvious successor to Mr. Yanai. Moreover, he confronts traditional Japanese business practices, primogeniture. He has decided not to hand the company over to his sons. Therefore, in the long run, the firm would rely on a dominant leader. In this respect, it is obvious that it needs a flexible management system. Even though the company does not follow traditional ll hold back communications and result expensive structure. They should allocate authority and organize flexible work environment. It is necessary to decentralize the authority and give lower-level managers and non-managerial employees the right to make important decisions. As a result, it will solve the delegation problem as well as the management process problem.I think Uniqlo has shown the innovative business model and unique strategy in the fashion industry. From the basics to the trendy clothing line, its start was based on everyday life which attracts broader targets and now it penetrated an industry hoping for a leading clothing company. In this sense, to attain global reputation and successful management, I believe it is required to have an adaptive cultural mind in the organization, especially when it comes to global and people’s fast changing tastes. In this point, I believe it demands more integrated business and multi-tasking applications.To survive in this fast-changing technology industry, especially the Internet, the Google improves to more integrated technological system called the Cloud computing. The Cloud computing is web-based software that people can use anytime and anywhere with their Internet devices. As long as there is an Internet connection, the users do not need any special software to access their applications. In other words, the applications are stored in the “cloud”; the network storage. For example, each individual’s information is stored at each email or document storage. This process saves money by reducing the cost of purchasing and maintaining other software. Also, it gets customers’ loyalty, because there is no need to access other web sites for users’ own information.The Google do not stay only for the web search business. They made Android system which is a free and open source mobile platform. The Android can be developed infinitely by anyone who use and install as they want. This open mobile device system can get greater innovation and provide more opportunities for users everywhere.This research helps me to realize the Google is not only for an information provider, but also an instructor of new life style. They operate their business with technology devices, but actually they create their own utility system to step up the technological development. He concerns AD was once exclusively used by the large developed economies but is now dominated by new users, the Developing Countries (DCs). For the proliferation of AD, he points out several reasons mainly caused by the government role and the lack of AD foundation.I believe the trading community has faced a new round and it is important to focus on new AD users, the DCs. They have now come to the open markets with trade liberalization. In this manner it is necessary to investigate tighter control over antidumping authorities in the DCs. Through a reform of the AD it should be dealt with DCs at the national and regional level. That is, the role of the governments in DCs is crucial.Some DCs have recently created their own trade policy-making institutions as increase of responsibility for AD actions. It shows they can serve to restrain arbitrary actions for AD. As AD becomes a cleverly designed form of protectionism, I think the DCs, still have no legislation on dumping and the practice being subject to administrative procedures should insist on a provision of WTO to enact AD legislation. Moreover, the regional organizations can govern DCs who are yet to draft AD legislation and provide them a code.Besides, I think the government should build a means of access to socio-economic relationship for DC citizens. To allow consumers of DCs to influence decision-making will probably help to restrain government arbitrary authorities. Above all, however, how WTO and other developed countries respond to DCs will affect the economic condition as a whole. The competition has been a title for the trade liberalization, but at this given time the coordination will amplify free and fair trade.

2009-제1학기제 1차 과제동서양 신화의 복합체그리고 현대사회에 대한 시사성(영화『센과 치히로의 행방불명』(2001))송기정 교수님(월 4교시, 목 5교시)국제학부 0869029박수연서론그 동안 만화영화는 어린아이들의 전유물로 여겨져 왔다. 하지만 어른 아이 할 것 없이 대대적인 흥행성공을 이룬 이 영화의 성공 요인은 어디에서 비롯된 것일까? 상상 속에서만 존재하던 세계에서 일어나는 사랑과 영웅의 이야기는 어느 영화에서나 볼 법한 전형적인 판타지 스토리이다. 하지만, 미야자키 하야오 감독의 『센과 치히로의 행방불명』 HYPERLINK "http://movie.naver.com/movie/bi/mi/basic.nhn?code=32686" t "_blank"(千と千尋の神隱し: The Spiriting Away Of Sen And Chihiro, 2001) 이란 이름의 이 일본 애니메이션은 지극히 동양적이고 일본적인 신화적 배경을 두고 그 중심 소재들 중에는 동양적 요소들과 그리스 로마 신화를 함께 이용했다는 데서 흥미로운 내용을 가진다. 이야기의 기본적 배경은 일본의 800만 명이나 되는 많은 신들이 머물고 가는 온천장이며 전반적인 모티브는 일본의 미신과 사상을 바탕으로 하고 있지만, 이야기 전개의 중심 소재들 중에는 그리스 로마신화의 키르케신화, 페르세포네 신화 그리고 오르페우스신화를 함께 이용하고 있기 때문이다. 동양뿐만 아니라 서양의 신화적 요소들도 두루 복합적으로 사용하고 있는 이 영화는 현재 우리가 알고 있는 신화가 총체적으로 어우러진 하나의 복합체가 아닐까 하는 생각도 해본다. 뿐만 아니라 영화 전개 속에서 일괄적으로 시사하고 있는 물질만능주의와 환경오염에 대한 비판적 시선은 적지 않은 시사성을 내포하고 있다. 주인공들의 아가페적 사랑이 연인간의 사랑으로 비춰지기도 하는 이 흥미로운 영화는 단연 어린이만을 위한 영화라기 보단 어른들에게 더 큰 공감과 동심을 선사하고 있다고 생각된다.본론줄거리이야기의 시작은 ‘치히로’라는 이름을 가진 평범한 소녀가 새달리 심성이 옳고 바른 사람이었다. 그녀의 조언과 함께 용으로 변한 하쿠가 치히로 일행을 데리고 다시 온천장으로 돌아오게 된다. 그리곤 부모님을 구하기 위해선 계약을 파기해야 했기에 유바바의 마지막 관문을 통과하게 된다. 유바바의 약은 문제를 풀어낸 치히로는 부모님과 함께 원래 세계로 돌아가게 된다. 치히로의 세계도 시간이 흘러있었지만 아무것도 기억 못하는 부모님과 달리 치히로는 제니바가 건네준 머리끈을 부적으로 삼으며 돌아가게 된다.동양적 신화2.1 ‘가미가쿠시’민담미야자키 하야오 감독은 『센과 치히로의 행방불명』의 모티브를 일본 민담에서 발췌해서 제작하였다. 그 내용은 ‘가미가쿠시’라는 것인데, 어떤 신적인 존재가 아이들을 납치해 간다는 뜻을 내포하고 있다. 『센과 치히로의 행방불명』을 일본발음으로 표기하였을 때 ‘센토치히로노 가미가쿠시 (千と千尋の神隱し)’ 라고 하는데, 여기서의 ‘가미가쿠시’는 그 민담과 같이 한자 뜻 그대로 신이 아이들을 가리는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 옛날 일본의 유아사망률이 높았던 시절, 아이들의 죽음을 신들이 아이들을 데려간다고 믿어 이러한 민담이 생겨난 것으로 보인다. 그리하여 아이들이 행방불명 되는 사건이 일어날 때마다 일본은 이 ‘가미가쿠시’를 응용하는데, 미야자키 하야오 감독은 이를 기본 삼아 이야기의 토대를 형성한 것이다.2.2 토속정령(精靈)문화- 만물신사상과 토테미즘영화의 시작부터 끝까지 그 배경은 일본의 만물신사상 기본으로 하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 만물신사상은 모든 물건에 정령 혹은 신이 깃들어져 있다는 사상으로 영화의 온천장에 드나드는 온갖 신들을 포함에 주인공인 치히로와 부모를 제외한 모든 인물이 신이나 정령으로 묘사되고 있다. 주요인물인 하쿠는 개천의 정령으로 가마 할아범은 가마의 정령으로 묘사되는 것처럼 말이다. 또한 신적 존재들이 사는 곳인 신적 영역인 만큼 그곳은 영화 도입부에 보여지는 것처럼 신령님의 집이라는 표시의 많은 돌 사당들이 뒹굴고 있고 터널 입구의 앞에는 망부석이 놓여 있다. 영화에서는 내는 일차적인 것으로 이름을 뺏긴다는 것은 자신의 일부 역시 함께 뺏긴다는 생각을 포함하고 있다. 우리나라에서는 귀신이 이름을 3번 불렀을 때 그것을 대답하면 잡혀간다는 미신이 전해 내려오기도 하는데, 이는 영화에서 이름을 뺏기는 것과 같은 맥락이다. 치히로라는 이름을 빼앗겼기 때문에 ‘센'은 '치히로'가 될 수 없으니 유바바에게 종속 당해야 하는 것이다. 또한 하쿠는 원래 모습인 개천이 없어지자 아무도 불러주지 않아 아무리 생각해 봐도 자신의 원래 이름이 생각나지 않았던 것이다.그리스 로마 신화3.1 키르케(Circe) 신화『센과 치히로의 행방불명』 도입부에서, 치히로가 부모와 함께 터널을 지나 온천장이 있는 기묘한 마을에 도착하자 치히로의 부모는 맛있는 냄새에 이끌려 안으로 무작정 들어선다. 그리곤 차려져 있는 음식들을 막 먹기 시작하는데, 반면 치히로는 왠지 모를 불안감을 느낀 채 먹기를 꺼려한다. 그리고 치히로가 하쿠의 어서 돌아가라는 충고를 듣고 부모를 다시 찾아왔을 땐 이미 부모는 돼지로 변해 치히로를 알아보지도 못하고 그저 먹고만 있을 뿐이었다. 이 돼지로 음식을 먹자 돼지로 변해버린 소재는 그리스 로마 신화의 오디세우스와 키르케 신화의 요소를 이용했다는 점을 알 수 있다.키르케(Circe)는 태양신 헬리오스(Helios)의 딸로, 눈부신 미모를 가진 마법에 능한 요정이다. 키르케는 사악한 여성으로 잘 알려져 있는데 그 이유는 그녀가 그녀의 섬을 찾아오는 남자들에게 마법을 술을 먹인 후 그들을 돼지로 만들어 버리기 때문이다. 트로이 전쟁에서 귀환하던 오디세우스(Odysseus) 일행은 마녀 키르케의 땅인 아이아이아(Aiaie) 섬에 도착한다. 오디세우스가 파견한 정찰대는 화려한 궁전에서 아름다운 여인이 나와 그들을 맞이하자 경계심을 풀고 안으로 들어간다. 그리곤 안에 차려진 맛있는 음식과 술을 잔뜩 대접 받고 취해 곯아 떨어지자 키르케가 마법의 지팡이로 그들을 모두 돼지로 만들어 버린다. 하지만 유일하게 조심하고 있던 에우릴로코스(Eurylocos일 년에 3달 동안은 저승에서 지내야 했고, 그 동안은 데메테르가 슬픔에 잠겨 땅을 돌보지 않기 때문에 황폐한 겨울이 생겨나게 되었다.두 이야기의 공통점이라고는 ‘그 세계의 음식을 먹으면, 그 세계에 속한다’라는 것 밖에 없지만, 저승과 이승의 경계를 확실히 짚어주기 위한 소재로 페르세포네 신화를 인용한 것이 아닐까 하고 생각된다. 또한 영화에서 치히로가 온천장에 일자리를 얻게 되자 온천장 사람들은 인간냄새가 난다며 치히로를 꺼려하자, 하쿠가 “3일만 여기 음식을 먹으면 더 이상 냄새가 나지 않아”라고 충고하는 장면은 이 신화적 요소를 더욱 부각시키고 있다. 겉모습뿐만 아니라 본질 자체도 이 세계에 속하게 된다는 점을 말해주고 있는 것이다. 이처럼 『센과 치히로의 행방불명』에서 배경이 되는 신들의 영역이란, 즉 일반 이승과는 다른 세계이며 페르세포네 신화적 요소를 사용하며 일컬어주고 있는 것이다.3.3 오르페우스(Orpheus) 신화영화 결말부에 치히로가 유바바와의 계약을 파기하고 부모를 구해내자 다시 원래 세계로 돌아갈 수 있게 된다. 치히로가 신들의 세계를 떠나려 할 때, 하쿠는 “온 길로만 가면 돼. 단, 터널을 나갈 때까지 절대 뒤를 돌아보면 안돼.”라고 말한다. 그리고 치히로는 하쿠와 다시 만나기를 기약한 후 터널을 향해 열심히 뛰어간다. 터널 앞, 무슨 일이 있었는지 아무것도 기억 못한 채 치히로를 기다리며 서 있는 부모는 치히로와 함께 터널을 나서며 영화는 막을 내린다.이 장면에서 언급된 ‘뒤돌아보지 말라’는 그리스 로마신화의 오르페우스 신화를 단적으로 보여주고 있는 소재다. 음악의 신 오르페우스(Orpheus)는 사랑하는 아내 에우리디케(Eurydice)를 사고로 잃고 너무 슬픈 나머지 저승에 가서 아내를 되찾기로 결심한다. 저승으로 내려가 그의 아름다운 노래와 연주로 저승신인 하데스와 페르세포네를 감동시킨다. 그리고 그 대가로 오르페우스는 아내를 되찾을 수 있는 특별한 은혜를 입는다. 단, 그들이 저승세계를 빠져 나오기 전에는 절대 뒤를 돌아보그녀의 보석들을 매일 점검하면서 돈에 대한 집착을 강하게 보여주기도 한다. 영화 중반부에서 얼굴 없는 요괴 가오나시가 온천장 종업원들이 황금에 대해 집착하는 모습을 보이자, 흙을 이용해 황금을 만들어 나눠주며 권력행세를 한다. 가오나시가 모든 물건이나 심지어 사람들마저 집어삼키지만 모두 황금이 떠나가는 두려움에 어찌할 바 모르는 장면은 물질만능주의에 찌든 사회를 전면적으로 보여주고 있다. 가오나시가 황금을 만들어낸 것은 자신에게 관심을 나눠준 치히로에게 도움을 주고 싶어서였지만, 치히로는 가오나시의 황금을 모두 거부한다. 그리고는 가오나시에게 모든 병을 낫게 해주는 약을 먹이자 그는 원래대로 돌아온다. 하지만 이를 보고 유바바는 치히로를 다그친다. 이제 더 이상 황금을 얻을 수가 없기 때문이다. 이 노골적인 물질만능주의 세태는 현재 우리 사회에 대한 비판적인 시각으로 나타내어 진다. 특히 치히로가 유바바에게 이름을 빼앗긴다는 것은 물질만능주의에 종속된다는 뜻으로 생각될 수 있다. 하지만, 자신의 진짜 이름을 기억하고 있는 치히로는 자신의 본래 목적을 기억하고 바른 길로 갈 수 있었다는 것을 의미하기도 한다.결론다각적인 측면에서 분석해 본 『센과 치히로의 행방불명』을 통해 흥미로운 소재들을 이용한 동시에 현대 우리사회에 많은 시사성을 부여하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 일본에 전해 내려오는 민담을 통해 영화의 기본 틀을 잡아내고 만물신사상이나 토속문화를 이용해 일본 고유의 느낌을 살려내었다. 노장사상이라는 동양적 사상을 내포하고 물질만능주의 세태를 비판하는 장면들은 시사성뿐만 아니라 교훈을 남겨주기도 한다. 또한, 동양적 느낌의 만화에 머물지 않고 그리스 로마 신화의 키르케 신화, 페르세포네 신화, 오르페우스 신화를 사용하면서 흥미로움을 더해 주었다. 하지만 동양의 신화를 살린듯한 느낌에 서양 신화를 복합하여 모호한 정체성을 가진 신화를 나았다고 비판하는 시각들도 있다. 비록 보수적이고 비판적인
