Currently, about 60,000 or 1.6 percent of Korean students have suffered from school violence, which has been on the rise every year since 2016(Cheon, 2019). It is often seen through the media that young teenagers are trampled on by their friends from near past. A case in point is the suicide of a middle school student in Daegu in 2011. The incident caused a huge stir in South Korea when a middle school student jumped out of his apartment and committed suicide after writing a suicide note saying he had committed habitual harassment by a number of classmates.
