Book banning
In Korean there is a saying that A thief who stole books is not a thief. It means that books play an important role in people’s lives and often lead human beings to the right way of life. However, in modern society, there is an argument over whether book banning is necessary or not. Although it is said that we need to read many books as possible, some people say that we need to ban some books related to many kinds of problems about social, political and religious issues, stop books are not censored being read. While there are many opinions about banning books, it is unnecessary because, as the following illustrations will show.
First of all, book banning is deriving people of the right to choose and read the books freely. Human beings should not be disturbed the right they want to read books by others. However if people who are publishers or involved to religious groups ban and stop publishing certain books for their advantages, they would interfere people’s freedom for reading. In these days, some books are restricted due to religious, political, moral and social factors. However, we are human beings who can think and judge whether what we should do or not in our daily lives. In other words, Publishers and religious groups don’t need to ban books although they worry about that mankind have prejudiced consideration because they usually read books critically, not being partial to one side when people read the books related to religious,
