1. 서론

듣기는 언어적 대인기술 중 하나이며, 의소소통의 기본으로 상대가 보내는 소통의 내용에 주의를 기울이고 이해하기 위해서 노력하는 과정을 의미한다. 경청은 귀와 눈으로 상대의 음성언어와 신체언어를 이해하는 것이다. 듣기 및 경청은 효과적인 의사소통의 원칙이기도 하다. 상대의 말뿐만 아니라 생각과 감정을 알아차리는 마음의 귀(ears of heart)를 가지고 이야기를 귀 기울여 듣는 것이 중요하다.

1. 비판적 듣기

상대방이 말하는 내용의 공정성, 타당성, 신뢰성을 평가하면서 듣는 것을 말한다. 이 3 가지를 면밀히 평가하고 분석함으로서 상대방의 말을 좀 더 잘 이해할 수 있고 합리적 판단이 가능하다.

2. 분석적 듣기

상대방이 말하는 내용을 주의 깊게, 꼼꼼하게 듣는 것이다. 내용에 대해서 상대방의 무엇을 말하고자 하는지, 무엇을 하는지 등의 의도나 목적을 파악하는 것부터 이어질 내용을 예측하거나 들은 내용을 자신의 언어로 되묻거나 말해봄으로써 제대로 내용을 이해했는지 점검하는 것을 말한다. 분석적 듣기는 단순히 상대방이 말하는 내용을 수용하는 것이 그치지 않고 지적인. 재검토 과정을 거쳐서 비판적으로 이해하는 것이 목적이다.
