본문내용
Most Korean high school students spend sixteen hours a day for studying university entrance examinations getting only one chance to pass. It is a heavy burden that is not comparable to Canadian high schools spending school time on an average of six hours a day. Even though Korea has developed economically at a very rapid pace with a high educational level of labor force supported by the educational system over the past several decays, this system focusing on college entrance exams are nonetheless quite controversial (Sorensen, 1994). According to a magazine called Good Life, South Korean adolescents have the highest suicide rate in the world because of the stressful and over-competitive educational system (Singh, 2017). This essay will analyze the causes of the system regarding population, culture, and politics, and suggest solutions that can be carried out at governmental and familial levels.참고 자료
